From the Ming Dynasty, we will conquer the world

Chapter 285 The Plague of Heaven and Earth, the Cancer of the Universe

In fact, when the Medicine Buddha fled Mount Sumeru, he was already severely injured by the Great Extinction Tathagata. As a Buddha who followed the path of vows, his supernatural powers were backfired by karma, and his Buddha power was reduced to less than one-tenth, so he had no way to suppress his injuries.

Therefore, he decided not to waste any more resources and purified his Buddhist power and even his fundamental Dharma form into a crystal relic, which he then handed over to the Great Emperor Baosheng.

This person is also a practitioner of medicine, and his philosophy coincides with that of the Medicine Buddha, enabling him to receive the power of the relics to the greatest extent possible.

After merging with the relics, Baosheng Dadi did not choose to escape. Instead, he used the Buddha's image to secretly return to the "Eastern Pure Land of Lapis Lazuli" located on Mount Ling and lay low.

Unlike the prosperous and powerful Heavenly Court, since the Buddha led all the Buddhas to Nirvana, there have been no monks who truly practice Buddhism on Mount Ling, except for Wutian, who sits alone.

Therefore, the Emperor Baosheng's infiltration went extremely smoothly. The fact that Li Xiuyuan and others were able to escape from the Six Paths of Reincarnation was also due to the interference of this newly appointed "Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Buddha".

He never imagined that his long and arduous infiltration would end in such a ridiculous way.

Although Xu Xing and the others had different paths of cultivation, Emperor Baosheng could see that these four were all boundless in magical power and great in supernatural abilities. Each of them alone was enough to compete for the position of Great Heavenly Venerable or World Venerable.

Who would have thought that this group of stray dogs would actually be able to welcome divine soldiers from heaven and sweep away all enemies?

As Emperor Baosheng was reflecting on this, he heard Wutian's laughter. A sense of unease suddenly arose in his heart, and he also thought of another peerless expert who was not present at the moment.

—Could it be that you, Wutian, are truly willing to abandon your Buddhist cultivation and your identity as the one destined to face calamity, and turn your back on the Primordial Demon Ancestor?!
Before the Emperor Baosheng could react to this thought, a spiral of flames rose from beneath the ruins of Mount Ling.

This spiral, formed by the intertwining of two kinds of firelight, spun rapidly and continuously, spreading outward in concentric circles of flames that swept towards the ruins of Ling Mountain, suppressing all the remaining chanting of the Heavenly Dragon.

Other unusual phenomena, such as celestial maidens scattering flowers, golden lotuses springing from the earth, and Buddhas bestowing teachings, all underwent strange changes after being scorched by flames.

The celestial maiden sprouted horns from her head, transforming into a ferocious Rakshasa. She raised her head and roared angrily, her hair disheveled, as if she were about to topple Mount Sumeru and flatten the Great Thunderclap Temple. Even the golden lotus was stained red.

The Buddhas were even more displeased with their seats, and fell off their lotus thrones, their appearances becoming ferocious, as if they had fallen into the demonic path, yet they possessed a unique heroic ambition to fight against heaven and earth, and even to change the world.

Although Wutian had long sensed this extraordinary power, he couldn't help but sigh in amazement:
"The wonders of the outer heavens are truly beyond expectation..."

"Tell me, what do you mean by 'it won't end'?"

Li Ruohai, carrying flames powerful enough to incinerate the stars, ascended from the Earthly Immortal Realm, as if carrying a long, fiery red cloak, and stopped in front of Wutian, holding a red spear, his brilliance beyond compare.

But her tone and gaze were completely out of sync with the flames; they were chillingly cold, penetrating straight to her internal organs and surging to her very soul.

Even though the God of Life could tell that this person was one of his own helpers, he couldn't help but take a slight step back and temporarily avoid the sharp edge.

Wu Tian smiled slightly and instead advised:
"The cycle of cause and effect is inevitable, and retribution is inevitable. The Buddhas of Mount Ling have come to this end because they were arrogant and disregarded the principles of cause and effect."

"The girl and her group are visitors from outer space, so why should they stand up for a bunch of damned people?"

“You are all highly accomplished individuals, and you must be powerful figures in the Outer Heavens. If you get into trouble because of this, I fear you will face great calamity in the future and regret it too late.”

After hearing these words, Baosheng Dadi was taken aback. He could tell that there was no threat in the words of this contemporary World Honored One; on the contrary, he spoke earnestly and patiently.

This doesn't sound like something Wutian would say; it sounds like the words of a truly compassionate and merciful Bodhisattva who saves people from suffering.

Baosheng Dadi suddenly remembered that this person's predecessor, the Great Bodhisattva Kinnara, before becoming the Lord of Wutian, was a guardian deity, but had the most compassionate heart in Mount Ling.

In fact, although both Wutian and Wenjun seized power by taking advantage of the chaos, they were fundamentally different.

The Plague Lord harbored rebellious intentions from the beginning and had been plotting for this for tens of thousands of years, forging numerous allies so that he could take advantage of the Heavenly Emperor's transformation into a Daoist master to overthrow the Heavenly Court, ascend to the Lingxiao Palace, and enjoy the position of Great Heavenly Venerable.

In Xu Xing's words, this was a typical coup d'état.

Wutian could be said to have been forced into this position step by step. If it weren't for the World Honored One's method of avoiding calamity back then, he would never have fallen into the demonic path and been doomed forever.

Wutian's only ally, Da Mie Rulai, joined forces with him because of his own ulterior motives and plans. Rather than allies, they were more like temporary companions on the same path, destined to part ways sooner or later.

Compared to the Heavenly Court, which was a monolithic and unified entity with only changing rulers, Mount Ling had lost even its basic structure.

If it weren't for the presence of the Great Extinction Tathagata, a powerful being with great supernatural abilities, Mount Ling would not have been able to preserve the Six Paths of Reincarnation and occupy the Netherworld.

From then on, the forces of the Great Destruction Tathagata gradually drifted away from Wutian, and even the Six Paths of Reincarnation seemed to be falling into his hands.

Looking back now, Emperor Baosheng realized that Wutian, this World Honored One and Demon Buddha, although he seemed to occupy Mount Ling, with great prestige and status as one of the two poles, was actually a completely lonely person with no relatives or friends.

Thinking about this, he couldn't help but feel a little emotional.

—If not for the path of cause and effect and vows, how could the Buddhas of Mount Ling have come to this point with their profound wisdom?

—But, is it because they are too wise that they embarked on this path, and thus attracted Wutian, the one destined for this calamity?

Li Ruohai, holding his spear, scoffed and didn't bother to answer, simply saying coldly:

"Disaster is imminent? You are sorely mistaken! Today, I, Li, am the one who brought this calamity upon you, you great monk!"

The world she went to after breaking through the void had no concept of cause and effect or laws. The only theme of that world was battle, endless battle!
—A relentless, life-or-death struggle against a formidable enemy known as Time and Sky!

It can be said that among the four, Li Ruohai was the one in the most dangerous situation after ascending to immortality.

Fortunately, the "Wedding Dress Divine Skill" and "Nine Yang Divine Skill" she practiced were extremely extreme martial arts, which matched the evolutionary power of Spiral Force and Getter Line, allowing her to make rapid progress and reach such a level.

Therefore, Li Ruohai naturally scoffed at this statement.

In her view, only power can fight against the heavens and the earth; so-called cause and effect are nothing but illusory things.

Li Ruohai, impatient with further words to Wutian, stomped her foot, and the red spear once again stirred the winds and clouds, carrying her body as a fiery red streak of light, soaring into the steel behemoth and heading towards the material universe. Zhang Sanfeng raised his right hand high, his five fingers spread wide, his entire arm transforming into a beam of light that reached the heavens and the earth, like a pillar supporting the sky, blocking the "Mysterious and Boundless World" that was getting closer and closer to the Earthly Immortal Realm due to the continuous battles.

However, even though the old Taoist was a professional at mending the sky, he had never seen such a wondrous realm as the "mysterious and boundless world." It would not be so easy for him to hold up the sky with one hand.

With this "pillar supporting the sky," the speed at which the mysterious and boundless world fell was slowed to an extreme degree, but it still tilted towards the Earthly Immortal Realm with an almost unstoppable momentum.

Upon seeing this, Guan Qi didn't hesitate and unleashed a sword strike, generating countless stars and causing the Milky Way to surge and splash in all directions, sweeping across the sky and earth. This was how he truly helped Zhang Sanfeng stabilize this world.

Although the two supreme experts were diverting their attention to supporting the sky, they still came to Wutian's side from the left and right, locking their divine senses onto this Venerable of Mount Ling, never letting their guard down for a moment.

Because they all knew that although Wutian was in decline, he was far from being exhausted. Killing him would definitely require some effort.

Strangely, Wutian showed no intention of making a move. He simply gazed at the material universe with a distant look in his eyes and shook his head, saying:
“Emperor Baosheng, you and the Plague King studied under the same Heavenly Emperor and have a deep friendship, but do you know why he is given the prefix ‘Heavenly Emperor’?”

"Could it be that this person's supernatural powers, magical abilities, and cultivation level are truly above yours?"

Upon hearing these words that struck at the heart, the Emperor Baosheng simply replied calmly:

"Master's actions must have had a deeper meaning. Could it be that he had already foreseen this fellow's ambitions?"

Wu Tian shook his head and said again:
"The plague is an epidemic. When mortals are sick, heaven and earth are in decline. The two characters '昊天' (Haotian) are just to illustrate this point."

"The Great Emperor is a peerless immortal in medicine. Does he know where the plague of heaven and earth should be located?"

Upon hearing this, the Emperor Baosheng's expression changed.

"Primordial Demonic Path!"

Wu Tian nodded and said:
"Indeed, the Great Celestial Venerable had the heart to educate the demons, so naturally he had to start by guiding the demon leaders. It's just a pity that in the end, he still grew tired of all of this and returned to the Heavenly Way, ultimately failing in his mission."

At this moment, the Plague Lord had just broken through countless layers of void and arrived in the material universe.

His current escape technique has already surpassed the speed of light, and when combined with his void supernatural powers, his speed is even more unbelievable.

But in the next instant, a storm suddenly surged in his heart, giving him a feeling that there was nowhere to hide, no matter where in the world, in the four directions, in the eight wastelands, or in the six realms.

The Plague King had long been familiar with Xu Xing's fist intent, but he did not expect that after burning most of his primordial spirit, the opponent's fist intent would still be so intense and strong!
The attack is coming!

Within such a tiny unit of time, the Plague King had already traversed several star systems and approached the very center of the universe occupied by the Heavenly Demon system—the Dark Black Hole.

But the attack from behind caught up with him in an instant. A huge storm seemed to erupt in the vast galaxy, with billions of stars trembling violently and emitting a huge radiance that seemed to explode, engulfing everything in it.

In the ocean of light, a clear and straight observable tunnel suddenly opened up, filled with layers upon layers of terrifying fist energy, surging forth and turning everything in its path to ashes in an instant.

Outside the ocean of light, all was calm and peaceful. The power that shattered the vacuum level struck the Plague Lord solidly without any loss.

This great celestial being also understood that if he could not withstand this punch, all his plans would come to nothing!

The Plague God turned around, and two beams of light flowed from his sleeves, one green and the other dark, which were the fundamental laws of the Mulberry Emperor's Soaring Heaven and the Netherworld's Night-Wandering Heaven!
While fleeing, he even had the leisure to collect the demonic energy represented by the Azure Emperor and others!
After absorbing the Dharma forms of the Azure Emperor, the Northern Yin Emperor of Fengdu, and the Pure Void Emperor of the Earthly Official, these two Dharma forms have become extremely powerful, and even have the tendency to generate their own spirituality and evolve into the Dharma form of the Demon Lord.

In an instant, eight towering figures, seemingly filling the universe, suddenly rose in the boundless void. These were the Eight Demon Lords whom Xu Xing had once seen!
These eight Demon Lords are different from Wutian, who is merely a nominal incarnation of a Demon Lord. Each of them represents a facet of the Primordial Demon Ancestor.

Each time the Eight Demon Lords gathered, it meant that the Primordial Demon Ancestor had already looked down upon this place through the Heavenly Demon System. This was the case with the Nine Palaces Demon Realm that Xu Xing had faced before.

This time, however, the Plague Lord did not set up any formation, nor did he offer any sacrifices to the Primordial Holy Path. Rather, it was the advancement of the two fundamental laws that spontaneously attracted the attention of the Eight Emperor Demon Lords.

If this trend continues, the position of the Eight Demon Lords may well be expanded to the Ten Demon Lords.

In fact, if Xu Xing hadn't been so accurate and ruthless this time, the Plague Lord would have wanted to spend another ten thousand years slowly developing these two methods, which would then permeate the Primordial Holy Path.

However, in order to withstand this unprecedented punch, the Plague King could no longer hold back even a little.

With the appearance of the Eight Demon Lords and the faintly forming of two other Demon Lords, and in this region extremely close to the center of the universe, which is also the highest position of the Primordial Sacred Path, this power is completely equivalent to that of a Great Divine Power Master.

The Plague God thought to himself that even if he were in charge of the Heavenly Court and attacked with the power of the Heavenly Rules, he would never be able to destroy a great supernatural being in one blow.

The first Demon Lord of the Filthy Abyss stepped forward to block the force of the punch, but before it could use any supernatural powers, its Dharma form was shattered, and even its surging demonic intent was swept away.

Following them were the other seven great demon lords, including Desire, Fearlessness, and Tranquility, as well as the other two great demon lords who had not yet taken shape. A total of nine Dharma forms were arranged from south to north, each displaying their supernatural powers and showing off their skills.

Even if the Great Destruction Buddha were to be resurrected or the Demon Emperor were to be alive, they would still frown deeply in the face of such a scene.

However, before the force of the fist, this seemingly impregnable and unbreakable blockade appeared so fragile that it collapsed at the slightest touch, without exception!

In the end, even the Plague King could not escape this punch. His primordial spirit exploded in mid-air, and even Ling Mei was swept away by the force of the punch. He was dead beyond any hope of survival.

Hundreds of light-years away, Xu Xing slowly withdrew his fist, but felt something was wrong—why didn't this Great Celestial Venerable use the power of the Heavenly Rules in the end?

As is widely known, the highest three of the thirty-six heavens in the Heavenly Court, as well as the Great Luo Heaven, were all left behind by the Three Pure Ones, and contain the legacy of the Daoists.

However, since the establishment of the Heavenly Court, no immortal or deity has ever been able to wield this power. Therefore, the true nature of the Daoist Venerable's legacy, and even whether such a thing even exists, has always been a subject of much debate.

Xu Xing was most wary of this item, but the Plague King didn't even bring it out to try his luck at the last moment.
Just as he was pondering, another immense and terrifying aura, carrying the power to sweep away the stars and level the universe, suddenly pressed down on Xu Xing.

Its momentum was unprecedented in Xu Xing's life. Even the Eternal Emperor, who sat on the Golden Bridge on the other side and looked down on the birth and death of eras, had never given him such a great sense of crisis.

He raised an eyebrow, suddenly realizing something:
"So it was you!" (End of Chapter)
