Chapter 351 The Weak General

Above the black and white town of Hawkins, a silver dragon, like a giant whale soaring through the sky, passed through layers of drizzle and endless curtains. Everywhere the colossal creature passed was ravaged and burned by flames descending from the abyss's maw. Nemesis raced towards the direction where the black vines gathered, destroying everything in its path.

"Woo——"

The once quiet and dark Reverse World was now illuminated by towering flames, and the earth emitted faint, mournful cries, like those of living beings, as it burned.

Namiesis did this not to avenge the butler's injury, but to clear away the black vines that covered the entire town. With the destruction of the Shadow Storm, all the monsters in the town perished along with their creator, but these black vines continued to grow stubbornly.

They extend from unknown places, growing on the earth like parasites, absorbing shadow elements.

This also explains why the concentration of shadow elements in the entire Reverse World is so low.

Namiesis guessed that these vines were probably the means by which Reverse Eye absorbed the power of this world. Arthur told him that when the simulation last arrived in this world, Reverse Eye's avatar appeared in the real world under the control of the butler's sacrifice.

His illusory image was instantly destroyed by the other party.

Vicna paid a huge price to destroy the incarnation of Reverse Eye using Eleven, and the severely injured Reverse Eye will not recover so easily.

It is drawing strength to repair itself.

So, while traveling, Namisis worked hard to weed the entire town, determined not to give Reverse Eye any chance of having a field advantage.

The location where the vines gathered was easy to find. After destroying the entire town of Hawkins, Namiesis arrived above an abandoned villa on the outskirts of town.

The villa was almost entirely entangled in vines, with only a few medieval stained-glass windows and a dilapidated door exposed.

Namiesis didn't bother to explore inside; he simply unleashed a [Sunfire Blast] silently.

Even without the enhancement of divine magic, the [Sunfire Blast] still unleashed a magnificent fireworks display. The towering square pillar of light, like a sacred sword, triggered an extremely terrifying explosion the moment it made contact with the abandoned villa.

"boom----"

A pure white pillar of light, half a kilometer in diameter, pierced through the heavens and the earth, illuminating the entire Reverse World with its blazing white light. A terrifying mushroom cloud rose into the sky, radiating outwards for three kilometers with a shockwave that tore everything apart. The forests surrounding the abandoned villa suffered, and those towering trees that had grown for hundreds of years were broken in this terrible disaster, like weeds snapped by a gale.

Namiesis admired the 'beautiful scenery' before him. He had to admit that the fireworks display of the Evocation spells was the most attractive of the eight major factions. This was also why Evocation Masters liked to unleash their spell slots whenever they encountered any difficulties.

Even after obtaining the [Sunburst] spell, Namiesis used it so frequently that it became the most frequently used spell among his eight major schools and nearly a thousand rare spells.

【Sunfire Burst】is practically an all-around, invincible upgrade of 【Fireball】.

As the glow faded and the smoke dissipated, all that remained of the abandoned villa was a massive crater hundreds of meters deep.

"what?"

Namisis looked closely and was surprised to find that there was a survivor at the bottom of the giant pit who had not been turned to ashes by the light of the [Sunfire Burst].

It was a humanoid monster, its body seemingly without skin, entwined and wrapped by vine-like tentacles, forming a tentacle armor-like structure. It looked rather wretched; half its body was charred black, like a dried corpse, likely from the impact of the Sunfire Blast. Even so, despite its severe injuries, it remained asleep.

Namiesis couldn't help but become curious. [Sunfire Blast] wasn't just a simple, larger version of [Fireball]; it was a magnificent stun created by fusing radiant energy with fire elemental power, similar to the [Flame Strike] spell used by priests. This was why Sunfire Blast produced a pure white light upon exploding, rather than the color of normal flames.

When all the shadow creatures of the underworld face positive energy, it's like ordinary people facing intense nuclear radiation. This monster, however, didn't even die when facing Namiesis's [Sunfire Burst].
Namisis had some doubts about whether the other party was the one with the reversed pupil, but she immediately dismissed the idea because the other party's aura was too weak.

Just as the Dragon Scroll was about to casually unleash another radiant energy spell to destroy it, the humanoid monster seemed to sense the danger and slowly opened its eyes, looking around in confusion.

Ok?
How did I end up in this deep pit? What happened to my big home?
And what is that enormous monster in the sky, staring at us menacingly?
A bead of cold sweat appeared on Number One's forehead.

Some time ago, in order to hunt down Number Eleven, he risked entering the other's consciousness and initiated a battle of wits. As expected, Number Eleven's strength was much weaker than before he lost his memories.

Number One had already gained the upper hand and was about to devour Eleven's consciousness and kill him. But at the crucial moment, a strange bronze severed hand appeared in Eleven's consciousness, causing him to lose the consciousness duel.

Having suffered a severe blow to its spirit, Number One had no choice but to return to its lair to hibernate.

Who knew that when he woke up, his hometown had turned into a deep pit, and half of his body felt like it was soaked in concentrated sulfuric acid, causing him excruciating pain. Above him, a giant beast that blotted out the sky was watching him.

Number One was on the verge of tears.

"I am the Lord of Madness, the True Red—the servant of the Crimson Death Lord, the general of the Land of Anka! Beast, step back immediately!" Number One shouted sternly.

Anka—in the language of the ancient Fallen Shadows, it means 'abandonment'. Number One refers to the Upside Down as "Anka," which means 'the land of abandonment'.

A hint of mockery flashed in Namiesis's eyes. It seemed that even a god driven to madness still possessed a name that was powerful enough to intimidate people.

Lord of Madness, True Red, Crimson Death Demon are just code names for Reverse Eye.

"You are His servant?" Namiesis asked, as if confirming. "Then it must be true."

The powerful right claw of the Scroll Dragon swung towards Number One with the force of a hurricane, and the latter was so frightened that he hurriedly activated his psychic power to try to block this overwhelming attack.

Unfortunately, although Number One's psychic power was strong enough to easily tear apart an entire villa, it was as absurd as a mantis trying to stop a chariot when facing the dragon's physical strength, which was almost at the legendary level.

Namiesis felt a strong resistance in front of his right claw, and with a little force, he shattered it. Number One was coughing up blood as he was held in the claw's palm.

He glanced disdainfully at the man in the claws. Although he was a servant of the Reverse Eye, just like Shadow Storm, this so-called general was so weak that Nemesis couldn't bear to look at him.

In reality, this was a misunderstanding by Nemesis. The reason why Number One was favored was because of his unique superpower—mind battle.

Using this rare talent, Number One can pull people from the real world into his consciousness through the Rift, and thereby make them the medium to expand the Rift.

He never won through fighting.
