Chapter 3 Letter of Introduction

She was not going back to the village, so when she came out to the hospital this time, she packed up all her things and brought them here. She thought that if she went back, what if the Shen family killed her in order to prevent the matter from being exposed? For safety reasons, she planned to leave the hospital directly.

But before leaving, she had to get a letter of introduction first, and this letter was written for the purpose of getting one.

When Ergou came back from lunch, Shen Feifei had already written the letter. After dinner, Shen Feifei took out two yuan and handed it to Ergou: "Go back to the village secretly tomorrow. Don't let anyone see you, especially your family. Find the village chief and give him this letter. Ask him to write a letter of introduction for me. Then come back and give it to me."

Looking at the money in his hand, Ergou was puzzled: "Why can't anyone know? Also, sister, why do you need a letter of introduction? Where are you going?"

"Don't ask so many questions, just do as I say. And don't open this letter, understand?" Shen Feifei warned, "If you don't do as I say, and tell others what I told you to do, and let your family know, I will tell you about stealing the chicken."

Hearing Shen Feifei say this, Ergou was so scared that he quickly expressed his sincerity: "Big sister, don't worry, I will definitely listen to you. You have been raising me since I was a child, so I will be close to you."

The next day, early in the morning, Ergou secretly returned to the village with the letter written by Shen Feifei. He went to the village committee to find the village chief and quietly pulled him out. The village chief looked at him in confusion: "What are you doing? Ergou, why are you sneaking around?"

Ergou looked around and saw no one, so he said, "Grandpa Village Chief, my eldest sister asked me to come to you to get a letter of introduction."

"A letter of introduction? Where is your elder sister going?" asked the village chief.

Ergou took out the letter from Shen Feifei from his pocket and handed it to the village chief: "My eldest sister didn't tell me to give this letter to you."

The village chief took the letter, opened it and read it. It asked the village chief to help her get a letter of introduction. The girl was going to the capital, and asked the village chief to keep it secret. After writing the letter of introduction, he gave it to Ergou to bring to her.

Shen Feifei also wrote that if the village chief did not help her, she would report it. The village chief's son was a hooligan and killed a female educated youth in the village. She knew where the female educated youth's home was. After writing the report letter, she also wrote a letter to tell the family of the deceased female educated youth the truth about her suicide.

Not many people in the village knew about this incident. The village chief's son behaved like a hooligan towards the female educated youth and forced her to marry him. The female educated youth had a fierce temper and simply jumped into the river and committed suicide.

This incident is in the book. It was the heroine who exposed the incident, and his son was taken to the farm for reform. While the incident had not been exposed, Shen Feifei used it to threaten the village chief to give her a letter of introduction.

She also wrote in the letter that if she did not see the letter this afternoon, she would immediately go to the Revolutionary Committee to report it.

As for Ergou, everyone in the village knew that he was illiterate, so she was not worried that the village chief would do something to Ergou.

After the village chief saw the letter, cold sweat broke out on his back. He frowned and asked Ergou, "Who wrote this letter?"

"My eldest sister. Village chief grandpa, I asked my eldest sister what she said in the letter, but she wouldn't tell me." Ergou replied.

The village chief looked at Ergou with disbelief: "Nothing, isn't your elder sister illiterate and has never been to school?"

Ergou smiled foolishly and said, "That's right, I was also wondering. My eldest sister said that she learned it secretly and didn't let anyone know. Grandpa Village Chief, you said my eldest sister is quite smart. This character is so difficult to learn, but she learned it secretly."

The village chief had a gloomy face and said meaningfully: "Yes, your eldest sister is quite smart." He turned and went back to the village committee room, asked Ergou to wait outside, wrote the letter according to Shen Feifei's request, and handed it to Ergou.

After Ergou left, the village chief sneered, turned around and went to the field to find Grandpa Shen. The village chief was afraid that Shen Feifei would go back on her word. He and Grandpa Shen were brothers, and Grandpa Shen knew about the previous incident. The village chief found Grandpa Shen and told him about Shen Feifei, asking him to bring Shen Feifei back from the county and lock her up to prevent her from talking nonsense.

Originally, when his wife came back yesterday, she told him about what happened in the hospital. Among the family, only the two of them and the first wife knew about the baby swap. They discussed that when Shen Feifei came back, they would lock her up at home and not let her go out. The matter of the baby swap must not be leaked to others, otherwise they would go to jail.

Now knowing that Shen Feifei had a letter of introduction and had to write a letter of denunciation in order to leave, Grandpa Shen could no longer sit still. He quickly called for people and took his sons to the hospital to arrest Shen Feifei.

After Ergou received the letter, he took a bus back to the hospital and gave the letter to Shen Feifei. After Shen Feifei received the letter of introduction, she asked Ergou to take her to buy a train ticket to Beijing in the afternoon. She was leaning on a crutch and was supported by Ergou to the train station.

After buying the train ticket, Shen Feifei took out fifty yuan and gave it to Ergou: "I'm going to Beijing. You take this money and hide it secretly. Don't tell anyone. Use this money to go to school and take the college entrance examination in the future. Don't be trapped in the village all your life."

This money was considered as Shen Feifei's reward to Ergou for taking care of her during this period of time. After the Shen family split up, the eldest branch of the family had a hard time. It didn't matter to the others, as they all deserved it, but Ergou was a good kid, and Shen Feifei hoped that he would have a good future.

Ergou didn't take the money. His eyes were red and he seemed to be about to cry: "Sister, what are you going to do? Are you never coming back?"

Shen Feifei stuffed the money into Ergou's hand and took out a letter for him: "Write down what I am going to do and why I am leaving in the letter. When you can read, read it yourself. You should hide this letter and the money secretly. Do you hear me?"

"Did you hear that?" Seeing that Ergou was about to cry, Shen Feifei patted him on the head and asked again.

Ergou wiped his tears and nodded: "I heard it, big sister."

"Hey? Isn't that grandpa and second uncle?" When Ergou looked up, he happened to see people coming in from the train door. When Shen Feifei heard this, she turned around and saw that it was indeed them.

Shen Feifei immediately pulled Ergou and told him to hide with her. Ergou didn't understand why, but he still listened to his elder sister instinctively.

Grandpa Shen took the men in the family, followed by Mrs. Shen and Grandma Shen, and went to the county hospital to look for Shen Feifei, but they came back empty-handed. The two had already completed the discharge procedures and left the hospital. They thought of asking Shen Feifei for a letter of introduction so that they could leave here and go to Beijing.

They rushed to the train station to look for someone.

"Comrade, have you seen a girl with a cane?"

"Hello comrade, may I ask if you have seen a brother and sister, the sister is using a cane."

"Big sister, have you seen a girl with a bandage on her foot?

…………He asked people everywhere, and finally, a kind-hearted lady told them that she had seen a girl with crutches on a bench east of the train station.

Grandma Shen thanked them quickly and pulled her family members to run there quickly.
