Warhammer: Emperor's Ravenbringer

Chapter 138: Dark Prophecy about the Future

Chapter 138: Dark Prophecy about the Future
Visions of the future haunt the Night Lords like eternal damnation.

Those dark and desperate fragments continued to appear in his mind.

He couldn't distinguish between reality and fantasy.

My soul is in great pain and I don’t know who to talk to.

He saw Guilliman become Lord of the Five Hundred Universes.

He saw the lion dominating the vast heavens.

He saw Sanguinius transformed into an angel of salvation, walking through those desperate universes.

He saw the Emperor's radiance covering every universe in which Mankind existed.

He saw Mr. Raven tasting delicious French fries from various universes in the sanctuary built for him by Lorgar.

These futures are so beautiful and sacred.

The empire embarked on a path of infinite glory and infinite beauty.

Everyone can be happy.

But he also sees another future that goes along with it.

A dark and hopeless future, tormented by eternal pain.

The shrunken body of the Emperor was placed on the Golden Throne.

The honorable Mr. Raven was lying in a mysterious misty palace, covered in blood.

Sanguinius' wings were torn off by an unknown enemy, and his noble face was shattered into pieces.

The lion's body fell into the dark abyss, and the bright red blood flowed like a waterfall.

Angron, full of fighting spirit, lost his mind and fought like a machine on the eternal battlefield.

The pain of losing the two emperors plunged countless people of the human empire into despair and pain.

Without the guidance of the Emperor and his Primarch, the Imperium became an entity of another extreme.

Zealots burned universe after universe in their quest for revenge and conquest.

These visions troubled the Night Lord deeply.

He didn't know who to turn to to tell what he had seen.

Today's human empire is thriving. Who would have imagined that such a dark and desperate fate would befall the human empire?

The bell rings.

The warp journey of the Night Lords' flagship, the Nightfall, has come to an end.

A new round of conquest is about to begin.

The Lord of Midnight stood up and walked out of his lounge.

His room was a steel cage, empty of everything.

There is no comfort at all.

It is totally inconsistent with his noble status.

But the Lord of Midnight was satisfied.

This room was his safe haven from the intrusions of visions.

When the pain from the visions became too great, he would bang his skull against a solid wall to relieve the pain.

Accompanied by the sound of high-pressure gas, the heavy door slowly opened.

"My Lord Primarch."

"My Lord Primarch."

The warriors waiting outside the door saluted the Lord of Midnight, full of respect and humility towards the Primarch.

The Lord of Midnight walked past them expressionlessly and went straight to the strategy room.

The Lu Corps still had conquests to accomplish.

Even though he was exhausted by the many illusions, Koz still had to complete the task assigned by Terra.

The human empire needs to unify this starry sky and move towards more vast heavens.

The future he saw was full of despair, but the empire had to move forward.

The warriors followed the Night Lord closely.

They had long been accustomed to the indifference of their own Primarch.

The Primarch never seemed to smile.

As cold as a sculpture, without any warmth at all.

Many times, they doubted whether the Primarch had human emotions.

At this moment, the space was suddenly torn open and the raven jumped out.

The soldiers immediately took a defensive stance, and some even raised their bolters.

After seeing the newcomers, they put down their weapons and saluted each other.

"Mr. Raven."

"Mr. Raven."

Koz looked at the raven that landed on his shoulder in surprise.

The extraordinary mind seemed to have crashed at this moment, it was blank and he couldn't think of any words.

"Little Bat." Raven stood on Curze's shoulder and shook his head. "How have you been recently? I heard from Malcador that you scared a group of dark elves so much that they peed their pants some time ago."

Koz was surprised at first, then he regained his composure.

But the surprise and happiness that flashed across his eyes betrayed him.

Curze turned and looked at the Night Lord warrior beside him.

"Go and order someone to bring over the new flavors of French fries and ketchup that we've collected during this period." The soldier standing next to Koz nodded.

"Oh yeah, is that little Sevatar?" Raven looked at the warrior and recognized his identity.

Sevatar is the First Captain of the Eighth Legion.

His strength is similar to that of Abaddon, Sigismund, Corswayn, and others, and he is in the first tier below the Primarch of the Great Crusade.
Since Curze is a bad player, Sevatar is also the actual commander of the Eighth Legion, a super psychic who hides himself.

If someone said to Mortarion, "Let the real legion commander come to see me," Mortarion would be 100% defeated.

But if someone said this to Coze.

He'll shrug and help you call Sevatar.

Of course, Sevastata himself is also a fun person.

Which normal person can shout out such a famous quote as "I am the judge, I am the punisher, and I surrender?" The first half of the quote is shocking, and the second half is heart-shaking.

The main focus is on both pretending to be cool and being cowardly.

"Yes, Mr. Raven, I am Sevatar, the first captain of the Night Lords Legion."

Sevatar's pale and handsome face showed a bright smile.

He had never expected that one of the supreme rulers of the empire would know his name.

"You are outstanding." Raven praised: "Help Coze well. In the future, you will achieve unimaginable achievements. The history books of mankind are bound to record your glory."

With just a few words from Raven, the captain of the Eighth Legion was so happy that he went to get the French fries happily.

"Mr. Raven, why are you here?" Koz asked.

"I have to ask this question, of course I came to you." Raven said, "Afa has a small problem, and urgently needs your support."

"What happened to him?" Koz asked curiously.

"I'm about to be kidnapped." Raven looked distressed, "So I came to you to teach those traffickers a lesson."

The smile on Koz's face grew wider.

Whenever Mr. Raven encounters something, the first person he thinks of is himself.

What does this mean? It means that I have the highest status in his mind.

Otherwise, why didn't he go to Horus or Sanguinius?

"What should I do?" Coze asked.

Just as Raven was about to continue speaking, he suddenly tilted his head to look at Coze and asked another question.

"Is your condition getting worse?"

"No." Coz was about to shake his head to deny it, but he quickly stopped and nodded, "Yes, what I saw was very different from before."

"It seems that your talent is awakening." Raven paced back and forth on Coze's shoulder, "What did you see?" "I don't know whether I should say it." Coze hesitated.

He was afraid that if he told others what he saw, no one would believe him.

"It doesn't matter." Raven said, "It's nothing more than me and the big guy sitting on the golden throne and being squeezed into a dry corpse."

"That's not true."

Koz's words made Raven breathe a sigh of relief. It was good that he didn't foresee such a future.

But the next words made Raven's worry, which had just been relieved, become raised again.

"I saw you lying in a misty palace, your body torn to pieces, blood flowing like a waterfall. Your father was in a dying state, sitting alone on the golden throne."

"I saw other primarchs go mad and die. The entire Imperium went crazy, and the armies set universes on fire for revenge."

"It seems that the future you see is very bad." Raven paced back and forth.

"Will those illusions become reality?" Koz looked worried.

"The future is uncertain, I told you," the raven said. "It is woven by us. You can see those illusions, which means someone is trying to push us to that fate."

"Who is it?" Koz asked subconsciously.

"I don't know yet." Raven showed a distressed look, "But I will try to find it out. The most important thing now is to solve the problem we are facing."

"Also, don't tell these things to the other Primarchs and your father. The Empire is now in a stage of rapid development. If you say these things, it is very likely to hit them, and even make them isolate you and become hostile to you."

"I understand." Coze nodded.

"But you can tell me." Raven added, "I know how bad the situation will be in the future, and I have already anticipated it. Our enemies will be powerful and their methods will be vicious."

"If you feel you can't bear it anymore, come and tell me. Your illusions should also provide some clues. You should pay more attention to see if there are any clues about the enemy in those future illusions."

Curze nodded, "I will, Mr. Raven. Let's talk about how we can save Alpharius first."

"Oh, I almost forgot about the main thing." Raven brought the topic back, "An organization called the Secret Cult is trying to lure Ah Fa."

"Alpharius is very smart, no one can fool him."

Curze didn't have much contact with Alpharius.

But he also usually reads the battle reports of other brothers.

Will analyze their personality from their tactical style.

Guilliman loves operations.

Wherever he went, he would promise a better future to the people, provide more advanced technology and markets, divide the local interest networks, and thus achieve peaceful liberation.

If he is sure that the other party is unyielding, he doesn't mind starting a war.

Ryan likes little secrets and chivalry.

Alpharius prefers lurking, inciting, and sabotaging behind enemy lines.

They used various methods to lure different local forces into fighting each other, and eventually they were defeated without bloodshed.

Who could deceive Alpharius, a Primarch so skilled in lying?

"Those guys from the secret sect are so shameless." Raven said, "Just follow me. Remember not to hold back. Use fear to break their defenses. I need to ask something."

"I know." Coze nodded. "When do we set off?"

"Wait a minute." said the raven.

"Waiting for what?" Koz asked puzzledly.

"Here they come, here they come." Sevatar and several Asterta warriors ran over.

Looking at the situation, it seems like there is some tough battle to be fought.

He ran all the way to the raven and offered the fries and ketchup in his hand as if they were treasures.

"Let's go, take Sevatar with us, there will be more people this time."

Raven took a portion of French fries, then tore open the space barrier, opened the space channel, and led the Midnight Lords to the planet Noth.

Planet Noth, Wutan area.

With the arrival of the Alpha Legion.

The Norse resistance was collapsing rapidly.

Even with extraordinary psychic powers and the help of the demons of the Warp, the strongholds of the Norse were destroyed one after another.

The fugitive lord, his ministers, and his followers hid in an ancient ruin.

"Hurry, my lord, let's run. The fortress on the front line has fallen. The enemy is only three kilometers away from us."

A loyal Norse general led the way in.

The next second, the lord pulled out his gun and shot the loyal Norse general dead.

The other soldiers were also killed before they could react.

The ministers and their entourage opened their eyes wide, unable to believe what they saw.

The lord held the gun, turned his head and looked at the ministers and followers who had fear and confusion on their faces, and smiled.

"I'm sorry, I'm not your lord, but the captain of the Alpha Corps - Inge Peck."

"Since three days ago, all orders for action have been issued by me, just to completely destroy all your resistance."

As the voice fell, the lord of the Norse people changed.

His thin body quickly swelled up, his size and appearance changed drastically, and he turned into a soldier of the Alpha Legion.

The ministers and their entourage looked desperate.

They finally understood why the enemy was able to easily break through every line of defense.

Why were those hidden strongholds discovered by the enemy and destroyed?

"Where is our monarch?" an old minister asked angrily.

"He was killed three days ago." The soldier replied indifferently, "When I caught him, he threatened to use the Black Cube to destroy the Empire together, so I ate his brain and plundered all his memories."

The Black Cube is a dark technological creation from the Golden Age of mankind, mixed with a portion of chaotic power.

Requires enough blood to activate.

After activation, enough subspace energy can be gathered quickly.

This changes the target world's climate, making it extremely poisonous and full of storms.

It can also destroy all ground structures and even make the ocean boil.

The Norsemen wanted to keep it and die together, but the Alpha Legion noticed their intention and launched a surprise attack to take it away.

The rebels have now lost all their capital for resistance and have become fish on the chopping board, able to be cut by the empire.

When Alpharius arrived at the ruins, those old ministers and followers had been executed one by one in despair.

"You did a great job, Peck." Alpharius looked at his captain with a satisfied look.

"Thank you for your praise, Primarch." Inge Peck was happy to receive the Primarch's praise.

"Now that we have dealt with the enemies of this world, it's time to deal with the rats hiding in the shadows."

Alpharius looked into the depths of the ruins, his voice cold.

"Come out, I know you are here. John Grammaticus has confessed."

"The human spirit is too fragile. But it's okay. He has completed his mission and brought you here."

From deep within the dark ruins, members of the cult who had been watching the war came out.

Its entire body is covered in light; it is a pure energy life form.

"Humans are an inferior race. You are latecomers, an incomplete group, and a blight on the galaxy. I will bring you enlightenment, make you complete, and become a tool for the benefit of the universe."

Alpharius frowned.

The other party's tone was condescending, which made him feel a little uncomfortable.

He reached out a hand and started the Alpha Engine.

A cube composed of transparent space barriers appeared out of thin air, trapping the opponent inside.

The cult member showed astonishment.

It tried to hit the space barrier, but to no avail.

"Hasn't anyone told you to put away your arrogance and stupidity?" Alpharius said coldly, "Tell me everything you know."

"Otherwise, you will know why John Grammaticus told everything he knew. Believe me, you will never like that kind of pain."
