Chapter 250 Drowning
Ono Ken turned a deaf ear to him. She left Section Chief Fujiwara in the reception room and personally led the three of them to the inner hall. Guests with appointments naturally had to be treated differently from unauthorized guests.

The four of them walked through the half-open porch, the sound of gurgling water came, and the maple leaves in the courtyard were lush and green. Ono Ken, wearing a kimono, opened the sliding door of the inner hall, and Ru Xiaoxing knelt beside him, motioning everyone to sit on the futon.

"Mrs. Keiko has been in great grief recently, and has been sleeping all day and all night. She has not gotten up yet." Ono Ken bowed and apologized: "Please be patient and wait."

Yazaki Momo said it was no problem, and asked, "In that case, can you show us around?"

Yuan Yuzi took off her sunglasses, clasped her hands together, and pleaded in a low voice: "It would be best if you could take us to the crime scene..."

Fushimi Shika covered her mouth with her hand, signaling her to shut up, and said to Ono-Kuen with a smile, "She meant that it would be best to go to the place where the anomaly occurred, mainly because she wanted to see the legendary earthbound spirits and evil spirits."

Only then did Yuan Yuzi remember that her character was a "supernatural event enthusiast". If she directly asked to go to the crime scene, it would seem that she was too purposeful and people would be able to tell at a glance that she was there to investigate the case.

"I haven't asked you yet, who is this gentleman...?" Ono Ken looked at Yazaki Momo, who then turned his gaze to Fushimi Shika, intending to let him speak for himself.

Yuan Yuzi had a bad feeling and tried to cover Fushimi's mouth, but her arm was not long enough and she was not as quick as Fushimi, so she just heard him say calmly, "I'm a psychic detective."

"Can a psychic... also be a detective?" asked Ono Ken.

"I'm quite good at psychic communication. I can directly ask the deceased and identify the murderer." Fushimi Shika is very dedicated. He has already gotten into the situation and there is no unnaturalness in his ghost stories.

Ono Xuan looked at him with a look of "I see", and nodded to show that he understood.

Seeing her so calm, Yuan Yuzi thought that she was indeed a maid in a wealthy family. She must have seen a lot of storms and was not surprised to meet such a strange thing as a 'psychic detective'.

"It should be so. Please follow me."

Ono Ken stood up again, followed by Yazaki Momo. Gen Tamako approached Fushimi Shika and whispered, "See, I told you that Miss Ono is a very nice person. Generally, the housekeepers of wealthy families are very strict and would not allow outsiders to visit casually like this!"

Fushimi Shika didn't take it seriously and responded in a low voice: "Stupid! How could she make such a decision on her own? Princess Kiko must have informed her in advance... Don't you think about why Princess Kiko agreed to let Yazaki Momo follow up and report?"

"Why?" Yuan Yuzi still lacks in the ways of the world.

"The princess is not a fool. You suspect that Ooe is a liar, but doesn't she have any doubts?" Fushimi Shika said as they walked.

"If you have doubts, why did you invite them?" Yuan Yuzi didn't understand.

"Pick a general from the short ones, and try it out as soon as possible. When people are sad, they always need some comfort to deceive themselves." Fushimi Shika glanced at her.

Gen Tamako suddenly thought of the rabbit police officer and immediately understood Princess Kiko's conflicting feelings.

The two of them chatted with each other for a while, and after passing through the porch, the sound of the wind chimes disappeared. The room was terribly quiet, and they consciously shut their mouths. Ono Ken led the three of them upstairs to Akishino Mako's boudoir.

As a young girl, Akishino Mako's room was too plain. Gen Tamako looked around and saw that the furniture was only a desk, a bookcase, and a chair. The floor was covered with tatami mats, and the bedding should have been put in the closet.

Although the space is large, it is terribly lonely. Fushimi Shika turned his head and saw light coming through the sliding wooden door on the left side of the room. He walked closer and opened the door. Outside was a balcony, and the corridor and handrails were all made of wood.

Fushimi Ka stood by the handrail and looked down. He could just see the pond in the garden. The water was clear, with red and white carp hanging in the air and a few golden carps swimming by.

"Ms. Akishino fell to her death from here."

Ono Xuan's voice suddenly came from behind him.

Fushimi Shika turned around and saw her blaming herself. She said softly, "That night, I didn't take good care of the young lady..."

Hearing this, Yazaki Momo quickly took out a camera from her bag and took a close-up photo of Ono Ken's sad and self-blaming face. Then she asked, "Do you mind? It might be used as material for a newspaper article... If you mind, I'll delete it now."

Ono Ken hesitated for a moment and said, "It is really not appropriate for me to show up in public. I hope Miss Yazaki will understand."

Yazaki Momo expressed her understanding and deleted the photo without hesitation. As a reporter, her top priority was to capture valuable photos, and then she would consider whether it could be published in the newspaper and whether it violated other people's privacy.

Yuan Yuzi leaned on the railing with both hands, leaned over and looked down, his hair swaying in the wind: "It's not that high, there's a pond below, how could he fall to his death?"

"Ms. Akishino can't swim." said Ono Ken.

Gen Tamako suddenly realized that Akishino Mako had drowned. Previously, she had heard from Yazaki Momo that Akishino Mako had committed suicide by jumping off a building, and she thought that Akishino Mako had fallen to her death.

Momo Yazaki took out the notebook and asked Ono Ken about the specific circumstances at the time of the incident. The latter did not hide anything. She had already told the police about this many times, so there was no harm in telling it again.

On the night of the incident, there was a heavy rainstorm in Arashiyama, with thunder and lightning, which frightened Miss Akishino. She was recuperating at home, and after being frightened, she said she saw a ghost, and then she said she heard a strange water piano sound, and then she said she saw her deceased father.

Princess Kiko followed her usual routine and went to take care of her daughter herself. In the middle of the night, seeing that her mistress was exhausted and drowsy, Ono Ken took the initiative to help cover for her, letting her go back to her room to rest while she took care of Miss Akishino.

After Princess Kiko left, Miss Akishino became restless again. Ono Ken made a pot of soothing tea and gave it to Miss, which calmed her down a little.

"I thought she was asleep, so I took the tea set back to the kitchen and tidied it up. When I came back, I couldn't find Miss Akishino..."

Having said this, Ono Xuan lowered his head, looking more and more guilty.

After hearing this, Gen Yuzi hurriedly comforted Ono Xuan and told her not to blame herself too much; Fushimi Shika seemed to be thinking about something, and he glanced at the pond again and asked, "Where did you get the body from?"

"Yes, it was Mr. Fukuyama. He jumped into the pond and tried to save Miss Akishino... Unfortunately, it was too late."

Perhaps because of the scene that brought back sad memories, Ono Ken's voice was a little choked.

Although it was a bit inhumane, she still had to ask. Yuan Yuzi finally understood why the detectives in TV dramas always had stern faces. She lowered her voice and whispered, "Um, did you perform an autopsy?"
