Chapter 291 Tears of the Ice Goddess? Who knows what that is?
The snow covered the frozen ground, her small nose was red, and her eyes were a little closed. Nunu blew warm air into her palms, then stretched out her hands and placed them on Willump's body, intending to transfer her warmth to Willump in this way.
But conspicuously, Willump didn't seem to feel cold. Instead, he scratched his head with his big paws and looked at Nunu with a strange expression.
"Roar!"
"No, Willump!" Nunu immediately refused upon hearing Willump's cry. He continued, "We're partners. It's fine for you to carry me normally, but how can I let you carry me while I sleep on you?"
"Wouldn't you become a pet or a tool then?" Nunu said matter-of-factly, "The best friends should walk together, sleep together, and eat together!"
Willump's strange look disappeared, replaced by a hearty laugh. The big guy became even more excited, looking at Nunu and nodding vigorously, as if to prove that Nunu's decision was correct.
Nunu shivered, followed Willump for a while, then squinted at the scenery ahead and shouted.
"what!"
"Willump, we've found it! We've finally found it!"
Nunu jumped up excitedly, pointing to the valley in front of her. On the tundra, seeing something doesn't mean you're close to it; in fact, it's still a long, long distance away. But even so, Nunu saw a huge, gray ice sculpture sitting in a ruin on the tundra below, which looked like an abandoned castle.
Judging from its appearance alone, this castle perfectly matches Nunu's fantasy of "the hero fighting the dragon" and the castle where the dragon lives. Therefore, it is a treasure for Nunu, and it immediately dispels his fatigue.
"Quick, Willump, we have to get there!"
"Once we find the Jurberry, we can go back! But I'd like to explore this place a bit more first, what about you?"
"Roar!"
"It seems we've made the same choice!"
Nunu landed on Willump's head, and the Yeti got off all fours and used both legs to rush downwards at an extremely fast speed.
Despite his seemingly chubby and clumsy appearance, Willump is actually an extremely agile fellow. Come to think of it, the Freljord people's image of the Yeti is largely that of a gigantic, blue-faced, fanged ape.
More than an hour later, with Willump moving at full speed, they reached the edge of the ruins.
Nunu stared blankly at the ruins with her mouth agape, then excitedly climbed up like a little monkey.
“I can’t even read these words!” Nunu exclaimed, pointing to the writing left on the ruins. Then he tapped his head, coughed, and said, “No, Willump, I don’t know many words anyway.”
"My mother wanted to teach me to read, but... but we separated."
As he spoke, Nunu's mood soured considerably, but he quickly cheered up.
"Come on, Willump, it's time for us to take a risk!"
"Roar!"
The two, one big and one small, began exploring the ancient ruins.
“That green guy said this is where Lissandra used to live, and my mother said that Lissandra used to sit with her sisters, so this is where the Ice Sisters used to live?”
"But there's nothing here! How many years has it been since anyone came here?"
Nunu's little brain couldn't quite figure it out. He didn't know that if this place really was the former site of the "Three Sisters of Ice," then outsiders simply couldn't enter.
After all, this is Lissandra's backyard, where many secrets and stories of the past are buried, and those are things that Lissandra would never want others to see.
Nunu is able to boldly explore here, and the reason is naturally because the owner of the "back garden" is watching him from the sky.
It wasn't until Willump let out a roar, ran to Nunu's side, pointed to a spot, and roared twice more that Nunu finally saw what she wanted to see.
A colossal statue!
Unlike the grayish-black statue he had seen before, which he had initially thought was Lissandra's statue, Nunu discovered upon arrival that it was actually a statue of a man wearing a helmet, and not very tall at that!
It just stands out conspicuously among the ruins on the tundra.
But what Nunu saw now made her mouth drop open.
"No wonder I couldn't find it. It was inside the iceberg!"
Before them stood a colossal ice sculpture nearly a hundred meters tall. The face was somewhat blurred, but the hands, clothing, and an ice crystal longbow were sculpted with remarkable realism. Holding the ice bow, she gazed at the ground, one hand gripping an ice arrow, poised to fire.
"Roar!" Willump shouted again, and Nunu turned his head to look, only to see another ice sculpture.
On the opposite side of this ice sculpture, she is connected to another ice surface, hundreds of meters away from here. She is also nearly a hundred meters tall, holding a warhammer, wearing a helmet, and her indistinct face is raised to the sky, her open mouth seemingly letting out a roar.
“That’s Serilda! Willump, this is Avarosa, and that’s Serilda! I recognize her!” Nunu exclaimed.
"And what about Lissandra's?"
The two, one big and one small, became confused.
However, after searching for a long time, Nunu and Willump still couldn't find the statue that belonged to Lissandra. With no other option, Nunu had to give up looking for Lissandra's statue and instead began searching for Jurberry's whereabouts.
As Nunu and Willump entered the ruins and walked inside, Nunu immediately spotted the Jurberry he was looking for.
It grows on a dilapidated abandoned city tower, very tall, swaying in the wind and snow, shimmering with a beautiful red light.
Nunu immediately pointed at Jurberry and shouted, "Willump, where is he!"
Very tall?
It's ok!
He has Willem de Trump!
Willump grabbed Nunu and skipped and hopped toward the abandoned city tower.
A few minutes later, Nunu arrived in front of the Jurberry and looked at the huge fruit. From a distance, it was not noticeable, but up close, Nunu's friend was bigger than his head!
It's almost as big as Trump's paw!
Grabbing Zhuermei with both hands, she cried out loudly, using all her strength.
"I'll pull it out, I will!"
"I'm going to be a hero who saves the world!"
With pouting and her face flushed red, Nunu leaned back, straining with all her might, but still couldn't pull out the jujube.
Such a huge fruit naturally has an incredibly thick root system. Willump chuckled beside him, and when he saw Nunu was about to collapse from exhaustion, he reached out to help Nunu.
But at that moment, Willump saw a faint glow appear on Nunu's body, which startled him, and he subconsciously took a step back.
Willump felt he didn't need to intervene.
Because Nunu unintentionally used that power again!
The next moment, with a loud shout from Nunu, the Jurberry was uprooted.
"Willump, I did it!"
"Roar!"
"Quick, let's go to our next destination now." Nunu hugged Jurberry, but realized that it was too big for her to carry, so she gave Jurberry to Willump.
Willump grabbed it with his large hands, then tied the fruit's tail to his own fur, and then reached out and grabbed Nunu.
The two, one big and one small, ran towards the far north. Three days later, Nunu saw the Frozen Sea.
This was the first time he had ever seen the sea, but it was different from the sea Nunu had imagined, and also different from the sea his mother had told him about.
"Why is it all ice?" Nunu asked, pursing her lips as she looked at the frozen sea.
Willump yelled from the side.
"Yes, it's so cold here, the water's frozen solid!"
"But Mom said that the surface is frozen into ice, but there's still seawater underneath, and fish live there!"
As he spoke, Nunu rolled up his sleeves to catch fish, but Willump stretched out his big arm to stop him.
"What's wrong, Trump?"
Nunu asked, puzzled.
Willump pointed a paw at a small island in front of him and grinned.
Nunu immediately understood what Willump meant. He turned his head and saw a stark island on the distant ice. The island had trees on it and didn't look very big, but Nunu vaguely sensed that he was being watched.
Faintly, white smoke appeared on the island, and at first glance, the smoke looked like a fox.
This piqued Nunu's curiosity.
They immediately decided to go and take a look with Trump.
The green guy said that once they reach the Frozen Sea, Nunu will find the materials for the Frost Goddess, and that should be the place the green guy was talking about, right?
Ten minutes later, Nunu and Willump arrived on the island.
There was no life on the island, only two or three trees. The island was really small. If you asked Nunu, it wasn't an island at all, but a huge rock standing on the ice.
After all, with Nunu's legs, she could only walk a dozen or so steps on this island before she reached the end!
Then, Nunu and Willump saw a snow-white little fox appear.
The little fox had long, pink fur and was standing on a rock.
"What a beautiful fox!" Nunu's eyes lit up when she saw the fox.
But the next moment, Nunu was terrified.
"Child, where are you from?" the fox asked. The fox spoke!
The fox raised its head, sat gracefully on the small stone, looked at Nunu, and then said, "Tell me quickly, where did you come from?"
Bai spoke according to the script.
As he spoke, Bai felt speechless.
To think that she, a demigod, would do something like this! Isn't this just fooling children?
What left Bai speechless was that when Lissandra found her, she directly threatened her, telling her to build an island in the Frozen Sea, wait for a child to arrive, and then put on a show.
what!
Building islands on a frozen sea?
Although she is a demigod, and a very powerful one at that, the Frozen Sea is still very dangerous for Bai!
This place is home to many demigods. Sister Seal is alright; if she builds her own island, she certainly won't come forward to criticize her. But what about the other demigods?
After much deliberation, Bai finally decided to slack off.
That's how Nunu was able to see this island in the sea that looks like a huge rock!
"I...I'm here to find the Tears of the Frost Goddess."
"What? What is that toy?" Bai was about to say instinctively, but the voice in her head interrupted her.
"Are you an idiot? The Frost Goddess's Tear is what you're going to give him. Just find an excuse to give it to him." Lissandra's voice echoed in Bai's mind.
Bai paused, then became somewhat angry.
It does not make sense?
What kind of Frost Goddess Tears does she have?
There are only two beings in Freljord who deserve the title of Frost Goddess: one is Avarossa, the former leader of humanity and the eldest of the three Frost Sisters, and the other is Anivia, the demigod Anivia, the Ice Phoenix.
What right does she have to deserve such a title?
The little paws groped around behind its rear end and picked up a small stone. Then it projected its magic onto the stone, changing its shape and color.
When Bai stretched out her pink little fleshy ball towards Nunu, she was already holding a small, teardrop-shaped gem in her little paw.
"You mean this?"
“I, yes, that’s it.” Nunu didn’t actually know what it was, but judging from its shape, Nunu thought it must be the Frost Goddess’s Tear that the green guy had mentioned, so he nodded in agreement.
"You think I'll give it to you just because you come to me?" Bai yawned.
"What do I need to do for you to give it to me? I really need this, please! I need this to save my mother," Nunu said anxiously.
"Well, if you help me with something, then I'll give you this." Bai said, pretending to be serious.
"Please speak, beautiful fox, and I will certainly complete the task you have given me!"
"Haha, no need to be so nervous," Bai said with a smile, raising his paw.
This kid has such a sweet tongue!
Bai is starting to like this child.
What's strange is that from the moment she saw the child, Bai noticed a familiar scent on him. Thinking this, Bai looked at Willump beside her and recognized him as the snowman.
The Yeti. This is a creature that once lived with Anivia and was deeply loved by her; it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it her familiar.
Therefore, a guess also arose in Bai's mind.
Li Ke, Lissandra, and that demigod Nera—there's no reason for them to be so bored as to cooperate with a child in some kind of hero adventure role-playing game. Therefore, there must be a secret about this child!
The snowman, the familiar scent.
My goodness!
A strange light flashed in Bai Wumei's eyes.
She looked at Nunu, inhaling the familiar scent emanating from the little guy's heart—his heart, his heart.
Depend on!
It is the Heart of Anivia!
This little guy got the Heart of Anivia?!
Bai was momentarily stunned.
"Hello, can you tell me what you need me to do?"
"Of course!" Bai snapped out of his daze and took a deep breath.
She understood what Lissandra and Rick meant.
Is the battle against the void finally about to begin?
Looking at Nunu, Bai said seriously:
"Go this way, and you'll see a gigantic octopus. It's incredibly powerful and constantly wreaking havoc on the Frozen Sea. I need you to remove one of its tentacles as a warning to it."
"I understand!" Nunu patted his chest vigorously and promised with a big laugh, "I promise I will complete the mission!"
