Chapter 519 Mortarian, who became withdrawn after being beaten.
Mortarian moved, his body transforming into a dark green afterimage as he charged toward Titus with lightning speed, reaching a level that was imperceptible to the naked eye.
His massive scythe drew a ghastly green arc, as if the space itself had been slashed open with a festering wound.
Titus raised his sword to parry, and the moment the two weapons collided, the Emperor's Sacred Fire and the Plague Miasma clashed violently, the resulting energy wave shattering the metal structures within a hundred meters.
In this clash, Titus showed no sign of backing down; in fact, the golden power sword in his hand emitted a dazzling light as it gradually pressed down on Mortarion's massive scythe.
"Is that all you've got?" Titus's voice carried a hint of sarcasm.
He had thought the corrupted Primarch would be incredibly powerful, but it turned out to be only this level. Mortari's speed was fast, but it wasn't particularly impressive to him.
In Titus's eyes, the opponent's strength was nothing special, and he didn't even need to grow to a gigantic size to crush him, as Titus's height had been enhanced by Rhodes in various ways.
It has reached 3 meters, which is a bit small compared to the nearly 4-meter-tall Mortalian, but not by much.
Titus's power sword, wreathed in golden flames, unleashed a powerful burst of Imperial Wrath, the disintegrating force field humming as the golden psionic energy belonging to the Emperor surged, aiming straight for Mortarion's breastplate.
The Primarch slightly shifted his body, and the Silent Scythe slammed into Titus's shoulder armor, the metal of the extradimensional power armor clanging loudly!
Mortalian's Silent Scythe did not cause any damage to the power armor; Tytus's power armor originated from an imperial avatar.
It was commissioned by Rhodes and personally crafted by Helotia and the Yapools. It can be enlarged or shrunk for use, making it a divine artifact.
Just as the power sword in his hand was infused with golden imperial energy, this armor also contained powerful spiritual energy infused by the imperial avatar.
"Your armor... what's with the Emperor's power on it? Are you his champion warrior?" Mortarian sheathed his massive power scythe and looked at the tall Space Marine before him, asking.
The sword possessed his father's power, which even led him to suspect that it was the same sword his father had once used.
But this was impossible, because his father's sword was now in Guilliman's hands.
"No comment." Titus snorted coldly, raised his golden sword, and charged at Mortarian once more.
Mortarion unleashed a potent psychic power, a corrosive force belonging to Nurgle. Any ordinary Space Marine within this toxic mist would be severely affected.
Then the Space Marine's power armor would instantly rot. Then the Space Marine's body would be corroded and killed in the blink of an eye by the power of Nurgle.
But Titus's power armor was different; the imperial runes on the armor suddenly lit up, and the imperial divine spirit dispelled the corruption.
“The power of the Father of Genetics…is protecting me!” Titus said.
This time, he did not invoke the Emperor. The source of this power was the Emperor, but it was also his genetic father. It was bestowed upon him through that colossal avatar of the Emperor!
"Impossible! No one but my father could possess such power, no one!" I, Tarian, roared madly, my scythe flashing as I relentlessly attacked the Space Marine before me.
Titus remained calm and composed in the face of the attack, his eyes resolute, and his power sword perfectly parried all of Mortalian's attacks.
“A rage of incompetence!” Titus shook his head. This corrupt Primarch had completely lost the composure a warrior should possess.
He had fallen into a state of impotent rage! Even his attack moves became chaotic, leaving him vulnerable all over.
"You damned bastard, I'll kill you!" Mortarian roared furiously.
Titus seized the momentary opening and slashed down with all his might from his power sword!
"For the Emperor! For Lord Rhodes!"
The sword pierced Mortarion's breastplate, and holy flames scorched the corrupted flesh of the Death Primarch, causing Mortarion to let out a painful roar!
"You think... this is enough to kill a Primarch? I'll show you the new power that the Great Father has bestowed upon me," Mortarion roared.
His body suddenly swelled, his decaying wings unfurled, and a psionic storm swept across the entire battlefield. Amidst the shockwave, Titan stood proudly like a pillar of strength.
No matter how terrifying the psionic attacks Mortarion unleashed, Titus remained motionless, his gaze resolute, his armor gleaming with golden light, like a war god.
Mortarion hovered in mid-air, his rotting psionic energy surging like a tide, and his height had increased to fifty meters.
Although Nurgle did not send the Primarch to Vashtor, a lesser god of chaos, for gigantification, he used the technology he possessed.
Mortalian was given some upgrades using a powerful zombie monster body, allowing him to deal with gigantic opponents.
"Now, mortals, witness true despair! I will show you the power of the Demon Primarch!" Mortarion roared madly. He had been consumed by resentment ever since his defeat at the hands of his own genetic offspring, Titus; he could not afford to lose again.
His loving father granted him immense power, and he must kill the Space Marine before him, a man who is likely the Emperor's Chosen or the Emperor's Champion.
"You think you're the only one who can grow to gigantic size?" Hattus sneered, and his super beast power was activated, transforming him into a 60-meter-tall giant in front of Mortarion.
Didn't you see me just slay that demon prince? You think you can defeat me by maximizing your power?
"Damn it!" The demonic gene archetype spat out countless corrosive flies, launching an attack on Titus.
This foul-smelling Nurgle power was blocked by the Emperor's golden power. When Titus was upgrading to a Super Beast, he used a chunk of flesh from the Emperor's incarnation.
His theoretical strength is comparable to that of the Imperial Guard, which can be enlarged, and thanks to Rhodes's care, the power he can wield is arguably second only to the Primarch in the entire Empire.
The two giants clashed once again. With the gigantic body of a zombie monster, Mortarian's strength had indeed increased considerably. If he were to fight Typhon again, the outcome would be uncertain.
The problem is, this time he's not facing Typhons anymore; he's Rhodes' champion, vice-commander, and the most capable fighter in the entire legion.
The collision of the two giants caused the entire ship to shake violently; even the Glory Queen-class battleship could not withstand the force of the two giants.
Titan's iron fist burned with golden flames as he delivered a powerful uppercut to Mortalian's jaw, sending rotten flesh and maggots flying.
As the corrupted Primarch staggered backward, Titus instantly stepped forward, grabbed his rotting wings, and with an over-the-shoulder throw, slammed the fifty-meter-tall Primarch into a pile of scrap metal.
Boom! Boom! The entire ship began to shake violently; the Glory Queen-class battleship was on the verge of disintegration.
“Your attacks are as weak as Nurgle’s snot; you are not worthy of my father’s attention.” Titus’s voice boomed through the power armor’s megaphone, mocking the traitorous Primarch before him.
He raised his steel boots covered in golden runes and stomped them hard on Mortalian's abdomen. The metal ground caved in with the shockwave, and the Primarch spewed out dark green bile.
Mortarian's scythe suddenly pierced out of the poisonous mist, but was caught by his bare hands just three inches from Titus's throat.
A blinding spark erupted where the power armor glove came into contact with the corrosive blade. With a roar, Titus snapped the demonic artifact in two!
“Impossible!” Mortalian’s compound eyes flashed violently.
This is a corrupted artifact personally blessed by Nurgle! And this mortal before me has actually broken it.
Before he could recover from the shock, Titus's burning fists pounded repeatedly against his breastplate. Each punch resounded with the wrath of an emperor, and the decaying armor blessed by Nurgle peeled away layer by layer like dry tree bark.
Putrid pus and blood gushed from Mortarion's seven orifices. He attempted to summon a cloud of plague, but Titus shattered his sternum with a knee strike.
The moment the Primarch bent over, the Space Marine's steel elbow strike came down from above, denting half of his face and making Mortarion see stars.
"This is for the father of genes!" Titus's power gauntlet pierced Mortalian's abdomen, and the disintegrating force field pulverized the rotting internal organs into mincemeat.
"This is for the Emperor!" A left hook struck his temple, and the Demon Primarch's horn broke off, spinning and embedding itself into the distant ship's hull.
Mortarian struggled to get up, only to discover that his left leg had been torn off at the root.
Titus, clutching his tattered wings, repeatedly slammed the Primarch to the ground like a sack of potatoes.
Each impact triggered a small earthquake, and Nurgle's blessing crumbled under the pure violence, completely destroying the entire Glory Queen-class battleship.
Before the collapse, Rhodes' genetic offspring had already used teleportation bracelets to leave, flashing blue light.
When Titus finally stopped, Mortarion had turned into a writhing mass of rotting flesh, his Space Marine armor covered in foul-smelling slime. He raised his right foot, and Imperial Flame boiled over his boot.
“One last time,” Titus’s voice was chillingly calm, “for all the Imperial worlds consumed by the Nurgle Plague.”
The stomp carried immense power, and the shockwave overturned the corrupted Glory Queen-class warship, sending a mushroom cloud of rotting flesh and rusty iron soaring into the sky.
When the smoke cleared, the entire Glory Queen-class battleship had vanished, and most of Mortarion's remains had turned to ashes.
Titus's body floated in space, looking indifferently at Mortarion, who only had half a head left.
The corrupted Primarch had been brought to the brink of death, but the Demon Prince's powerful regenerative abilities kept him barely alive.
