Chapter 535 The Demonic Sword That Disobeys Orders Heads to the Warning Star

Chapter 535 The Disobedient Demon Sword Heads to the Warning Star

“Great master, everything is proceeding according to your plan. We have successfully captured Abaddon.” Tartarus immediately contacted Rhodes remotely and informed him of the entire incident.

“Well done, everything is proceeding according to plan. This time, there can be absolutely no mistakes,” said Rhodes, who was far away in Holy Terra.

This Dark Babar alien was specially exchanged by Rhodes to deal with Abaddon, and its attributes and skills have been enhanced to the top level.

Now, obtaining Abaddon's gene sample would allow for a perfect transformation, since this Warmaster isn't exactly a special character.

The Dark Babar aliens are extremely skilled at impersonation; they transformed into Rhodes before, and the earliest one transformed into a space necromancer without any problems.

However, there are some drawbacks. The impersonation of Abaddon cannot be kept secret for long; at most, it will be discovered after the Battle of Vigilance.

Abaddon, the Chaos Warmaster, was, after all, the chosen one of the Chaos Gods. Although Aisha no longer blessed him, the other three Chaos Gods still blessed him, and among them was a lesser Chaos God named Vashtor.

Therefore, even though he took on Abaddon's appearance, he still couldn't control Abaddon's true power, and he still couldn't obtain the blessing of the Chaos God.

Now, Aisha has largely broken away from the Chaos Godhood and can no longer choose her own Godhood; she might even struggle to become a Chaos Champion.

However, this battle on the Vigilant Star was enough. This time, Rhodes planned to have this fake Abaddon send the Black Fleet away directly, completely dismantling Abaddon's Black Fleet.

The reason for making his move at this time was that Abaddon was about to lead most of the Black Legion's fleet out to war and would not be in contact with Vashtor, which gave Rhodes the opportunity to switch sides.

The perfect solution would have been to subdue Abaddon, but Abaddon's personality is something only those who have used him know.

Things were a bit better before; at least during the 30K era, people still respected Horus, their father.

But in the current 40K era, Abaddon declares, "No matter what, I'm the biggest!"
On the other side, after the Babar aliens extracted the body tissue of Dark Warmaster Abaddon, their bodies flashed with a black light and they instantly transformed into Abaddon.

Because of its powerful soul, it can also mobilize a portion of dark power. After putting on Abaddon's Terminator Power Armor, it is almost Abaddon himself. Even in a fight, it is not much worse than the real Abaddon.

“It really is Abaddon himself. Here, take this demon sword, Drakanien, and you will be a true War Master.” The color hunter assassin Sidnis smiled and picked up the black death demon sword from the ground.

This sword is incredibly powerful, one of the most powerful weapons in the galaxy, and is said to have originated from humanity's first murder.

During the first Black Crusade, Abaddon successfully restored the power of the demon sword, and from then on, the demon sword recognized Abaddon as its master, fighting for him in all directions.

The Babar alien, now transformed into Abaddon, nodded and stepped forward to grasp the hilt of the demonic sword. However, the demonic sword, Drakanien, suddenly began to tremble violently, as if trying to break free from the Babar alien's grasp.

The Babar alien was immediately alarmed and gripped the demonic sword Drakanien with both hands in an attempt to suppress its power.

“This weapon is rebelling against me! It has its own consciousness; it doesn’t want to be my weapon; it doesn’t want to fight for me,” the Babar alien said.

No one expected that the impersonation plan would encounter a small mishap at the last step: Abaddon's accessories were unwilling to recognize this new master, and the magic sword belonged only to Abaddon.

With a clang, the demonic sword Drakanien fell to the ground.

"Are you kidding me? Is this weapon really that stubborn?"
"Why don't you use my runic magic sword as a placeholder for now? This sword was personally blessed and inscribed with chaotic runes by the Matriarch, and it's made of extradimensional metal, so its power is quite formidable." Sidnis said, drawing his purple magic sword.

“No! The Death Sword Drakannion is the symbol of Abaddon, the Chaos Warmaster. This sword has never left Abaddon's side; wherever he goes, this sword is there.” Rhodes, who was watching everything from a distance, shook his head. There was another difficulty in impersonating Abaddon: taming the Death Sword Drakannion was a challenge, as this weapon would not easily submit to anyone.

One of the assassins under my command who can tame this demonic sword is the Lustful Assassin, and another is the Dark Universe Emperor. The Dark Universe Emperor should be able to handle this unruly demonic sword with 100% certainty, and even infect it with his own dark energy.

"What should we do then, Master?" Babar asked.

Unexpectedly, such a small problem occurred at the last step of the plan. Why don't we let the Babar aliens take their army to the Vigilant Star first?
We'll deal with the matter of the Demon Sword Drakanien later.

“Or we could try sealing it, sealing all his energy, and then we can make a textile,” the Babar alien said.

Since I won't be using this weapon anyway, I'll just keep it in its scabbard as a decorative item.

“No! This demonic sword possesses an extremely powerful aura; even the Chaos Space Marines outside can sense it. This method might fool ordinary mortals, but it absolutely cannot fool the Chaos Space Marines, nor the Chaos Wizards and Chaos Demons within Abaddon’s Legion.” Rhodes shook his head, directly rejecting the suggestion.

As decorations, they won't fool those Chaos Wizards or Chaos Space Marines.

“Master, I do have a way! It can solve the problem of this demonic sword.” Tartarus stroked his chin and spoke after thinking for a moment.

“Tell me your ideas!” Rod said.

“Master, this demonic sword is very powerful. We can absorb all its chaotic energy and put it into a dormant state. Although it will lose its original power, it will still be able to fool people with it,” Tartarus said.

All that's needed is to minimize the weapon's energy response, so that its soul will fall into a dormant state and won't know who its master is.

The aura emanating from this sword was still that of the Demon Sword Drakanien, albeit slightly weaker, so the other Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Wizards wouldn't have much doubt.

"Hmm! This is a good idea. I'll leave it to you. Also, put a seal on this sword to prevent any problems from arising," Rhodes said.

Leave it to me, Master!
Tartarus nodded and, together with Sidnis, used warp techniques to extract the chaotic energy from the area. This extracted chaotic energy was then put to good use and injected into Sidnis's sword to increase its power.

The poor Demon Sword Drakanien was given a weak master, which completely buried its great power and caused its chaotic energy to be absorbed.

After absorbing 80% of the power of the demon sword Drakanien, Tartarus then sealed the sword, completely erasing its independent consciousness and turning it into a weapon containing chaotic energy that would no longer rebel against its master.

Equipped with the demon sword Drakanien, the Abaddon Claws forged by Vashtor, and the Terminator armor of the Chaos Space Marines, the Babar alien did indeed resemble a Chaos Warmaster.

"Alright! Now everything is ready, except for the final push. Babar, you will immediately lead all the Chaos Fleets to the Vigilant Star." Rhodes gave his order.

The 8-Baal alien, now transformed into Abaddon, nodded confidently and walked out of the room, summoning his Terminator Royal Guard before boarding his flagship, the Vengeance Soul.

Leading the Black Legion's fleet, they marched in a mighty force toward Vigilant Heart. They would then have to travel through the warp for several months to reach their destination.

The forces of Chaos navigate the warp with far greater ease than the Imperium, for they are protected by the Chaos Gods and are safe from any danger or attacks on the Chaos fleet by any foolish demons.

On the battlefield of Vigilant Star, the Imposter Abaddon Project is complete.

On the other side of Holy Terra, Regent Guilliman had already donned his armor of destiny and boarded his Glory Queen-class battleship, the Makrag Glory, to head to Vigilant Planet.

“Guilliman, I will remain hidden in the shadows, and I will appear by your side when the war reaches its most intense moment,” Rhodes said.

“Don’t worry! I understand. I’ll be careful. This time, Khadgar will also depart from Macragge and meet me on Vigilant Star,” Guilliman said.

This mission is to serve as bait, so Guilliman's acting needs to be more convincing, so he plans to use the past...

Ultramarines Chapter Leader Calgar was also brought along on this mission, though he was unaware of the specific details.

Having merged with the Cosmic Xuanwu for decades, Guilliman can now freely manipulate the energy of the Cosmic Beast.

Its strength has greatly improved compared to before, especially in terms of defense.

Rhodes nodded, and together with the Emperor, watched as Gilman, along with the otherworldly avatar that Rhodes had created in the Martian Mechanicus, embarked on their journey.

"Rhodes, do you plan to go to the battlefield only when the war begins?" the Emperor asked.

“No! I plan to head to the Vigilant Planet now. I need to set up the battlefield in advance, so I need to arrive before everyone else,” Rhodes said.

With Tartarus around, there are no distance restrictions for Rhodes across the entire galaxy. He can appear anywhere whenever he wants; that's how arrogant it is to have a teleportation skill.

Vigilant Planet is a chaotic place, with Ork, cunning, local forces, the state religion, and the Mechanicus! It's a real free-for-all.
