Chapter 554 Guilliman's Arrival, Intense Battle

Chapter 554 Guilliman's Arrival, Intense Battle

The war is about to reach its climax. It's time for Rhodes to wrap things up. The Slaanesh army under Forgrim, as well as the Noise Warriors, joined the battle a month ago.

They formed a joint force with Abaddon's Chaos army to launch an attack on the Empire. In recent days, the Empire has been struggling to hold on, led by the Emperor in his Eldar avatar form and Kargar, who can grow to enormous size.

All the Imperial soldiers now have only one belief supporting them in their fight: that soon Regent Guilliman will arrive, and that the great Guilliman will save them all.

"Warriors! Don't let these Chaos Demons break through our defenses. This battle is crucial. We must hold out until the Primarch arrives, until the Regent arrives!" A Ultramariner company commander raised his chainsaw and roared.

"For the Empire!" "For the God Emperor!"

The human defenders once again displayed unimaginable morale, launching a counterattack against the Chaos army.

Seeing this, Calga sighed helplessly. All of this was for the Empire, for the human race.

We must win this battle no matter what.

At this moment, Guilliman's flagship, the Makrag Glory, slowly sailed out of the warp rift, and the massive fleet array unfolded in the void, like a sharp sword pointing directly at the warning star.

Gilman brought with him hundreds of thousands of Ultramarines, hundreds of Imperial fleets, and over one hundred million ordinary Imperial soldiers.

This army of 100 million imperial soldiers were not ordinary soldiers; they were all mortals injected with superhuman drugs, whose strength was comparable to that of the original Space Marines.

"Sir, we have reached the outer perimeter of the warning planet," the naval commander reported.

"But the subspace fluctuations are extremely violent. The Chaos Fleet is besieging the Vigilant Star. An unimaginable battle is taking place here," a naval officer in charge of monitoring radar footage said.

At this moment, he could hardly believe what he was seeing: an endless army of demons and countless Chaos Space Marines were launching a frenzied attack on the Empire's fortress.

Guilliman stood on the bridge, staring at the burning planet in the holographic projection, his brow furrowed. "Abaddon and Forgrim... they really have joined forces."

Vigilant Star was key to victory in this war, and even while in the warp, he remained fully focused on the outcome of the battle.

If it weren't for Rhodes's dissuasion, he would have countless times wanted to use his psionic powers to open up a fast route for the fleet to arrive at a faster speed.

Not long ago, Rhodes told him that the time was ripe and that Fugrim had fallen into their trap. Only then did Guilliman move at full speed and arrive at Vigilant Planet about half a month ahead of schedule.

“These vile Chaos Demons, they want to conquer the Empire’s sacred territory,” a mortal naval officer said.

“But the Empire will not let them succeed. The great Father of Genesis will lead us to defeat these Chaos,” one of the Ultramarines said.

Guilliman nodded upon hearing this. The territory of the empire is absolutely inviolable, and the majesty of the empire must not be trampled upon by Chaos.

"Sir, high-energy reaction detected!" an Imperial Navy officer reported.

A tech priest suddenly shouted, "It's...it's the Emperor incarnate! He's on the planet's surface! Besides him, there are a large number of Eldar, and even an Eldar Death God."

A flicker of shock crossed Guilliman's eyes, which quickly turned into determination. Rhodes had also informed him about the Spirit Pearl Death God, especially at this crucial juncture.

It's understandable that the Eldar would get involved, since the Eldar were closely related to the birth of the Slaanesh.

Moreover, according to the ancient myths and legends of the Eldar, the god of death will end Slaanesh, and now, in a sense, the Eldar's god of death is also doing what was foretold.

"All troops, prepare for airdrop! Target—the surface of Vigilant Star! We must support the Emperor's Avatar! Support our national allies, support the warriors of the Empire," Guilliman declared.

"You have heard the Great Primarch's command, warriors, prepare to attack!"

"Ultraman, launch!"

At Guilliman's command, the Imperial fleet immediately took up position, countless empty cargo holds rained down, and hundreds of thousands of Ultramarines descended upon the battlefield.

"Hold on! Brothers, the Regent is almost here!" Calgary roared, his power armor already battered and bruised, but he still stood at the forefront.

He transformed into a blue giant, boosting the morale of the entire legion.

"For the Emperor!" shouted a Ultramarines company commander before being cleaved in two by the Chaos Lord's axe, and an aura of despair began to spread.

Just as the defensive line was about to collapse—"BOOM—!!!"

Countless drop pods crashed into the battlefield like meteors, and the blue armor of the Ultramarines gleamed in the firelight.

"For Macragge! For the Emperor!" Guilliman's roar echoed across the battlefield. Holding the Emperor's Sword, he led his elite guards into the enemy ranks. Golden flames burned on the blade, and with each strike, he shattered several Chaos Warriors.

"It's the Regent! He's here!" The morale of the Imperial garrison surged instantly. "Counterattack! Counterattack! Lord Guilliman is here."

Guilliman's fleet simultaneously launched an aerial bombardment, with salvos of light spears and macro cannons tearing apart the chaotic formation.

Abaddon's Black Legion was forced to retreat, while Forgrim's demon army suffered repeated defeats under the suppression of the Emperor's Avatar.

However, the Chaos Wizards immediately summoned more Chaos Demons through the warp rift. The number of these Chaos Demons was still somewhat less than that of the Ultramarines. Guilliman brought almost the entire Legion, hundreds of thousands of Ultramarines, this time.

The spells of the Chaos Wizards echoed in the air, and the warp rift tore reality apart like a wound, from which countless twisted demons poured forth: Khorne's fleshhounds, Nurgle's plague army, and even Tzeentch's monstrous horde.

They roared and screech as they charged toward the Imperial lines.

The Imperial Legion was already on high alert.

"Maintain formation! Firepower coverage!" The commanders of the Ultramarines calmly gave the order.

Hundreds of thousands of blue-armored warriors formed an unbreakable battle line, a blue steel wall, the roar of volleys from explosive guns echoing across the battlefield, and a dense barrage of fire tearing the charging demons to shreds.

Those demons that broke through the barrage were chopped into pieces by the power sword and chainsaw.

Guilliman himself moved across the battlefield like a golden lightning bolt, his Imperial Sword burning with holy flames, each swing turning demons to ashes amidst screams.

His tactical mind worked at lightning speed, directing his troops to precisely strike at the weaknesses of chaos.

The Emperor, standing to the side, raised his burning golden greatsword and slashed down, reducing dozens of Chaos Demons to ashes in the holy flames.

Guilliman and the Emperor Avatar stood together, nodded to each other, and fought side by side.

At this moment, Guilliman also grew to his gigantic size, his tan shield lighting up to protect all the human soldiers. The power of the Cosmic Xuanwu began to manifest, and a powerful energy shield covered almost every human soldier.

Behind Him, the Imperial Guard and the Silent Sisters fought valiantly against the overwhelming tide of Chaos' army.

The Eldar Death God raised his sword high and fought alongside the Emperor's avatar, while a large number of ordinary Eldar members also cooperated with the human defenders in a fierce battle against the Chaos Demons.

Suddenly, the sky was torn apart, and a huge warp vortex unfolded, from which Fulgrim's demon army poured down like a torrential rain.

The leader was none other than Fogrim, who was wearing purple armor and wielding a runic magic sword. His appearance had now completely changed.

A powerful purple chaotic divine power flowed from his body; it was the power of the chaotic evil god.

Forgrim did indeed inherit Slaanesh's divine power, and this power was still tearing at his body. When he fully merged with the divine power, even the Primarch's body could not withstand the power of the Chaos God.

Looking at the purple figure in front of them, Guilliman and the Emperor's Avatar exchanged a smile. The person they were waiting for had finally arrived. After going through so much trouble, they had finally managed to lure this bastard over.

"You lackeys of the false emperor, your end has come!"

Forgrim's voice echoed across the battlefield as he brandished the cursed sword, Kingslayer, aimed directly at the Emperor's incarnation.

“Forgrim...look at yourself now.”

"You're disgusting. You've become the most detestable thing in humanity, a complete and utter demon." The Emperor's voice was deep and majestic.

"Your depravity will eventually come to an end," Guilliman said with a cold snort.

"The end?" Fugrim laughed wildly. "No, you imposter, you're nothing but a war machine with a fraction of my father's divine power. Don't try to lecture me."

"Today, your day ends! As for you, Guilliman, I failed to kill you 1 years ago, but today you cannot escape. No one can save you. This time, you will die by my hand." Forgrim sneered as he spoke.

Without a word, the Emperor's avatar raised his golden greatsword and unleashed a slash. The golden sword energy rushed straight towards Forgrim. Forgrim, not to be outdone, drew his rune-wielding magic sword and met the Emperor's attack head-on.

Two divine forces collided violently, and golden and purple energy storms swept across the entire battlefield, even causing the earth to crack.

The golden power of the Emperor's Avatar began to dissipate in the face of the purple Chaos God Power. Although the Emperor's Avatar was very strong, he was facing Fogrim, who had already obtained most of the Chaos God Power.

Seeing this, Guilliman snorted coldly, stood beside the Emperor Avatar, and earthen-yellow power appeared. The power of the cosmic mythical beast Xuanwu manifested, forming a huge protective membrane that isolated this chaotic divine power.

"The outcome of this battle is still uncertain, Fogrem. You don't think you've won just like that, do you?"
"Today's battle is your death day, not mine," Guilliman said.
