Chapter 558 Lucius's Intelligence, Rescuing the Crow King from Afar
This special assault team includes not only the Primarch Loga, but also a large number of elite Noise Warriors and some Word Bearers.
The most unique among them was Lucius, who was mixed in with the team. Under the new master's orders, Lucius was also mixed in with the assault team, constantly sending messages to Rhodes.
He completely betrayed his hastily assembled team.
The battle in outer space continues, and Rhodes has dispatched Slaanesh assassins to intercept them.
Rhode intends to hand over that otherworldly avatar to the Eldar Death God to complete the deal between them.
"Rhodes! Are you sure you can do it?" Guilliman came to Rhodes' side and asked.
The battle in the sky was extremely fierce, but Forgrim did not seem to be at a disadvantage. Rhodes' subordinate was very strong, even stronger than the Primarch.
Even with the fusion of cosmic beasts, Guilliman wouldn't dare say he was guaranteed a victory, possessing the power of Chaos God. Even with only half of it, he was still on a completely different level from these lesser gods.
The opponent's strength is enough to kill them instantly!
He couldn't even be of any help in this battle!
“Don’t worry! This time, Fogrem is doomed. If you’re interested, you might as well go and rescue your other brother, Clarks,” Rhodes said.
According to the intelligence sent by Lucius, in addition to Loka, Forgrim also captured another Primarch, Raven King Clarke.
"Was he brought along too?" Guilliman asked.
“No, he’s still in the cell that Forgrim prepared for him. You could go and rescue him. I have the exact location and can open the door for you. After you rescue him, send me a message and I’ll bring you back,” Rhodes said.
"You can open a door, meaning you can always find Forgrim's lair, so why did you set this trap?" Guilliman asked, puzzled.
“Grim is currently fusing with the Chaos Godhead. Theoretically, he is already an immortal being, right? He can't be kept in the warp; he can move anywhere at any time. So we have to bring him into the real universe,” Rhodes said, rolling his eyes.
If it were that simple, I wouldn't have needed to set up such a long scheme to lure him here.
Guilliman nodded upon hearing this, and at this moment, the Emperor's avatar, also possessed by the Emperor's consciousness, slowly spoke.
“Guilliman! Now go and rescue your brother Clarks. I and Rhodes will take care of things here.”
“Yes, Father, I will go and rescue Clarks right away.” Guilliman nodded to Rhodes.
Then they began to assemble a commando squad of 1000 people, all of whom were Ultra Warriors, including one of Geneman's most important genetic offspring, the famous Calgar.
Poor Calgar, after fighting on Vigilant Planet for months, finally the Father of Genetics arrived, but he still had to keep working.
A few minutes later, the commando team members were brought to Rhodes by Guilliman.
Tartarus, who was standing nearby, immediately used his special ability to open a golden portal for Guilliman, sending the Imperial Regent to Forgrim's lair.
Thousands of Ultra Warriors also became wealthy through their genes and stepped into the portal.
This time, Forgrim brought his entire force of C'Thun Chaos Space Marines, along with some Chaos Unbound Demons who had joined him, and a large number of Chaos Followers, leaving his stronghold's defenses extremely weak.
Guilliman wields the Emperor's Sword and wears blue armor formed from the energy of cosmic beasts.
"My genetic offspring, follow me! Destroy these Chaos traitors and rescue my brothers!" Guilliman roared, leading his genetic offspring into the Chaos lair.
"My fellow monks, follow the Father of Genes and destroy these Chaos traitors!" The Karl family followed suit.
"Follow the Father of Genetics!" Countless Space Marines roared as they charged toward the Chaos Lair.
Some of the few Chaos Space Marines who remained here never expected that the Empire would launch a raid on their base.
A golden portal tore open a rift between the warp and the real universe, and Guilliman and a thousand Ultramarines stood in neat formation.
“Remember our objective,” Guilliman said, turning to face his sons, the Emperor’s Sword gleaming with a deep blue light in his hand.
"Rescue Clarke, destroy the Chaos enemies, no surrender, no survivors."
Carl stepped forward, the scars on his Terminator armor gleaming bronze in the eerie light. "For the Emperor!"
When the last Ultramariner stepped through the portal, the sight before him took even the most battle-hardened Space Marines' breath away.
They stood on a platform made of living metal, with twisted spires in the distance bending over like giants tormented by pain.
A pinkish-purple mist drifted in the air, and with each breath, the taste buds experienced a strange, cloying sweetness.
This was the corrosive power of chaos. Even after leaving his lair, Fulgrim had set a trap here. "Be careful not to inhale this chaotic aura. Everyone stay close to me," Guilliman immediately said, and erected a golden energy barrier, using the power of the Cosmic Xuanwu to form a purification, blessing all the genetic offspring.
The power of the cosmic beasts is quite effective against chaotic energy. After ensuring that their genetic material would not be corrupted by the chaotic subspace energy, Guilliman and the others began their operation.
Guilliman activated his Phantom Armor, a blue crystal-like energy shield spreading from his neck to his entire body. He raised the Emperor's Sword. "Advance! Intelligence indicates the prison is at the Third Spire."
This special intelligence was provided by Lucius; hopefully, it's accurate enough.
As soon as the team left the platform, the ground suddenly trembled violently, and the living metal undulated like waves. Dozens of extreme warriors were caught off guard and fell into the suddenly opened metal maw.
Amidst screams, Guilliman watched as the warriors were crushed into a bloody pulp by the writhing metal teeth, their blood being absorbed along the metal's grooves.
The rapid loss of personnel caught him completely off guard; this planet was no ordinary place.
"This entire planet is alive!" Calga roared, slamming his power fist into the ground, the shockwave temporarily calming the metal's agitation.
Guilliman's body emitted a yellow glow as he used the energy of the Cosmic Beast to pave a path for his genetic offspring.
"Hurry! This passage won't last much longer!"
After passing through three automatically closing gates, they entered an area known as the "Screaming Corridor".
The walls here are made up of countless distorted human faces, and when the Ultra Warriors pass by, those faces suddenly emit a piercing scream in unison.
The sound waves created a physical impact in the corridor, causing the helmets of the five soldiers to explode on the spot, and their brains to gush out from their seven orifices.
"Sonic weapon! Shut down the auditory sensors!" The think tank, Diggris, erected a psionic barrier, the emerald-green shield barely managing to withstand the second wave of sonic attacks.
Guilliman saw graceful figures flashing in the shadows—Slaanesh were plucking some kind of stringed instrument with their long, slender fingers, each pluck triggering a new wave of deathly sound.
Calgar led the Terminator squad in an attack, smashing three Banshees with his power gauntlets, but more Slaanesh warriors in revealing armor emerged from the shadows and joined the Ultramarines in battle.
"For Macurag!" A heavily wounded soldier charged into the enemy ranks, and the blue-white fireballs of molten metal bombs engulfed half of the corridor.
Guilliman seized the opportunity to lead his main force through the defense. When the Emperor's Sword beheaded a Slaanesh champion, his alluring face still wore a mesmerizing smile.
Passing through the blood-soaked corridors, we arrived at the central hub, where seven furnaces of agony stood.
Slaves bound by chains were throwing living people into boiling energy pools, and Guilliman saw some furnaces churning with the remains of Space Marines, their power armor melting like sugar coating.
"Samur, the Blade of Pleasure, awaits you here." An androgynous voice came from the top of the furnace, and a tall figure slowly descended, six curved blades unfurling behind him like peacock tail feathers.
When it landed, Guilliman realized that it was a monster with both male and female characteristics, its pearly skin covered with blinking eyes.
This is a Slaanesh.
“Come, a thousand pleasures,” the mixed male and female voice chuckled, “you’ll laugh as you bleed every last drop.”
The opponent's attack was faster than the limits of physics; six scimitars simultaneously slashed at Guilliman's throat from different angles, but the Emperor's Sword easily parried them.
Guilliman suddenly changed tactics, thrusting the Emperor's Sword at an unpredictable angle. The trajectory of the blade was as unpredictable as a supernova explosion, and the Slaanesh screamed and retreated, his three arms and the scimitar being severed and fell to the ground.
"How...how could you?" The monster stared incredulously at the writhing flesh at the wound.
"For the Emperor's will transcends all pleasure." Guilliman's sword pierced through the heart of the Slaanesh.
You're just a Slaanesh demon, what are you so arrogant about!
After eliminating the troublesome Slaanesh, Guilliman continued his journey with his genetic offspring, slaying countless Chaos enemies along the way.
They quickly arrived at the place where Clark was being held, based on Lucius's intelligence.
The tower's interior was unexpectedly vast, with a void cage made of obsidian suspended in the center. Klax was impaled on a cross within the cage by eight chaotic chains. The former Raven King was now emaciated, his exposed skin covered with writhing tattoos.
As Guilliman approached, the tattoos suddenly opened, revealing countless dual Slaanesh eyes. His brother had been tortured beyond recognition by Forgrim, who had even corrupted him with Slaanesh power, transforming his body into a chaotic demon prince.
"Don't come any closer!" Clarks suddenly looked up, his voice hoarse and inhuman. "I'm beyond saving. Kill me."
"Don't talk nonsense, Clarks. I'm here to save you, not to kill you."
