Chapter 593 A Deadly Battle, The Miracle of the Battle Nun

Chapter 593 A Deadly Battle, The Miracle of the Battle Nun
"Report! All Titan Souls have been downgraded to the lowest response level!" A panicked electronic voice came through the communication channel from the Tech Priest.

"This isn't an ordinary field of silence; it's some kind of... some kind of poison targeting machine spirits!"

“They will also target us. I feel my head is heavy, and I feel countless voices whispering in my ears,” Luo Tianfeng said.

As a superhuman, as a naturally born Primarch, he could clearly sense a malevolent energy eroding his body, but the Primarch's physique was far beyond what ordinary people could imagine.

So these whispers were just private conversations to him and had no effect on him whatsoever.

But for ordinary soldiers, the situation is completely different; such whispers are deadly to them!
An invisible pressure was transmitted into the human army.

At this moment, not only mortals were affected, but even some Space Marines felt their bodies become somewhat heavy.

Even consciousness began to whisper, a stance that completely suppressed all intelligent life.

The mortals in this imperial world were even worse off. Some elderly people, women, and children were instantly driven mad by this power and turned into something like walking corpses!

"Brothers, regroup! Hold the line and wait for reinforcements!" A Space Marine struggled to his feet, but the effects of the Necromancer's Domain made his muscles feel as heavy as if they were filled with mercury.

He watched helplessly as a battle nun was simultaneously pierced by three Gauss halberds, blood gushing from the gaps in her power armor.

"For the Emperor," the nun detonated the molten bomb at her waist before she breathed her last, perishing together with the surrounding undead.

"Do not--!"

Countless Space Marines, mortal soldiers, and battle nuns were slaughtered by the Necromancers of space.

Luo Tianfeng's roar exploded across the battlefield. His eyes were bloodshot with rage, and the roar of the Gene Primarch even briefly drowned out the low growl of the Spirit Exorcising Death Domain.

Even so, the situation on the battlefield continued to deteriorate rapidly.

The Space Marines' movements became sluggish, their neural responses were suppressed, and the Gaussian beams that they could have easily dodged now pierced through their power armor.

The battle nuns' frost power was also greatly weakened, and their prayers became intermittent in the dead zone, no longer able to summon the extreme cold storms powerful enough to freeze the undead.

The mortal auxiliary troops fell in droves, their will crushed. Many knelt down, burying their faces in their hands and weeping. Some even began to fire indiscriminately at their comrades—their spirits had collapsed.

King Joe Titan was completely paralyzed, its machine spirit fell silent, and the steel colossus became scrap metal on the battlefield, being dismembered bit by bit by the Gauss weapons of the necromancers.

The necromantic constructs of the space necromancers have been reactivated, and they march heavily over human defenses.

An Ultra Knight attempted to stop it, but was directly hit by the construct's antimatter cannon, and the pilot and the mecha were turned into a dazzling fireball.

"Retreat! Everyone retreat to the second line of defense!" Luo Tianfeng finally realized the seriousness of the situation. He activated his communicator and called for help from the orbital fleet. "We need orbital bombardment! Naval forces, execute the order immediately!"
And it sent out Star Speaker communications requesting other Imperial armies to come to its aid.

At this point, the only hope is that the naval forces in the sky above the planet can provide support; they should not be affected by this terrifying force field!

But the communication channel was filled with piercing static—the Necromancer's Domain had even blocked subspace communication. This terrifying necromantic barrier was extremely powerful, even sealing off the entire galaxy.

Luo Tianfeng and the others never imagined that at this moment, they wouldn't be able to send any messages out of the Empire. No other places would receive any news; all subspace activity in this region was blocked.

Overlord Kazzak watched with satisfaction as the human army retreated in disarray: "Activate the Harvest Protocol! I will hang these humans' heads beneath my tomb!"

Human armies fought desperately.

The last soldier who could still move crawled out of the trench; his left arm was missing.

"Come on, you tin bastard!"

The instant the Gaussian beam pierced his chest, the soldier, whose name was never even recorded, detonated all the grenades at his waist.

The explosion knocked over three undead warriors, one of whose metal head rolled right to the edge of the trench. Killing ordinary undead soldiers was of no consequence to the space undead.

Their tomb world will soon be able to activate the regeneration protocol, and the large number of low-level soldiers are simply ordinary expendable resources.

There were mortals who fought bravely, but there were also mortals who had completely lost the will to fight.

"We're doomed."

"There is no hope. We are all going to die, we are all going to die!"

Countless ordinary soldiers knelt on the ground in agony, bloodshot eyes welling up in their sockets.
"Blessed by the Emperor!" A battle nun, covered in blood, suddenly raised her power sword, her white hair whipping wildly in the still air, her eyes blazing with dazzling golden light. The previously suppressed frost power surged forth, unleashing a frigid psionic storm centered on her!

“Sisters! Pray!” she screamed, her voice carrying an inhuman echo, “Let His light pierce this darkness!”

"May the Emperor protect you!" The battle nun's roar pierced the despair on the battlefield. Her blood-stained white hair fluttered like a banner, and the frost runes on her power sword suddenly burst forth with dazzling golden light.

The spiritual energy that had been suppressed by the Exorcism Dead Zone was now erupting like a volcano.

"Pray! Pray, sisters!" the other battle nuns echoed in unison.

Golden light seeped from the gaps in their armor, and the broken respirators no longer spewed out blood foam, but ice crystals carrying a sacred aura.

Luo Tianfeng saw the nun in the front row suddenly accelerate, so fast that she left an afterimage on his retina.

Their power swords burned with golden flames, cleaving through the necromancer's quantum shield with one strike and cutting the metal skeleton in two with the second.

"For the Emperor!" A nun leaped more than ten meters into the air, her power sword piercing the core of the Necromancer Destroyer.

Amidst the flames of the explosion, people saw her transformed into a burning human silhouette, still in the posture of wielding a sword, while the bodies of countless battle nuns shone with golden light.

These battle nuns, most devoted to the emperor and the empire, suddenly unleashed their psychic power on this battlefield where psychic energy was sealed.

If they could use the power inherited from their genetic mother, the Cosmic Beast, that would be understandable, but what they possess now is the Emperor's golden psionic energy.

Under the golden light of the Emperor's mausoleum gates, countless mortal soldiers who had been on the verge of collapse suddenly recovered. At this moment, the battle nuns became the only hope on the battlefield.

But this holy counterattack was quickly met with a retaliatory response from the undead. The green light in Kazzak's eyes surged: "Activate the Human Purge War Protocol!"

The ground suddenly cracked open, and dozens of black stone obelisks burst forth from the earth. These creations, covered with necromantic runes, formed a new suppressive force field, and the golden light on the nuns began to flicker.

But it still lit up, illuminating the battlefield.

"Keep going! For the Emperor, for the great Mother of Genes, Elena!" The Great Battle Sister cleaved the obelisk before her with her sword, but the black stone fragments carved a deep, bone-revealing wound on her face. "Even if the light is extinguished—" Her last words were interrupted by Gaussian beams, three beams simultaneously striking her chest, melting a bowl-sized hole in her power armor.

The elder nun staggered and knelt on one knee, but used her sword to support her body and refused to fall.

"—We must pave the way with blood and flesh! Life is the currency of the empire."

The Space Marines took the opportunity to regroup. Luo Tianfeng saw a company commander leading the remaining soldiers in a wedge formation. They used their power gauntlets to smash the Black Stone Obelisk, clearing a path for the nuns.

"For the Father of Genes!" The young Space Marine braced his shoulder against the muzzle of the Necromancer's cannon and shoved a molten bomb into the barrel before his body was vaporized by the Gaussian beams.

Human soldiers began a war of attrition, a war of flesh and steel, against the space undead, using mutual destruction as their means.

The mortal auxiliary forces also took up arms again. They may not have the psychic powers, the will of the battle nuns, or the powerful physique and power armor of the Space Marines.

But at this moment, everyone was like a mad beast. A soldier with only his upper body bit off the grenade safety with his teeth, and another blind gunner adjusted the angle of the cannon barrel by memory.

A strange balance was formed in the center of the battlefield, where the nuns' psionic storms and the necromancers' black stone force fields canceled each other out, and metal and flesh fought fiercely at the boundary.

For every meter humanity advances, it pays with heaps of corpses; for every step it retreats, the undead lose countless living metals.

Kazzak, the Overlord, stood atop the remains of the Tomb Spider, his metal fingers digging deeply into the living metal in his palm.

His data core kept updating the battle damage report—these humans, who were supposed to be experimental subjects, were now causing the undead legion to pay an unbearable price.

How on earth did these damned humans break through the barrier? The necromantic barrier is supposed to seal the will of all intelligent life forms; they should have become emotionless walking corpses.

"My Lord! A message has arrived from the Tomb World!" The Tomb Technician's mechanical voice carried an unusual urgency. "Our energy reserves are—"

They activated the necromantic barrier and fought the humans with all their might, even causing them to run out of living metal in their reserves.

These humans are practically monsters; their fighting spirit is just too strong.

"Shut up!" The Overlord shattered the Technician's skull with a single blow of his staff. "Continue the attack! Activate the most advanced necromancer constructs!"

On the other side of the battlefield, after slaying countless space undead, Luo Tianfeng's power sword finally broke.

Throwing away the sword hilt, he used his bare finger bones to tear open the throat of the undead warrior before him; the Primarch's superhuman physique far exceeded the undead's imagination.

"See that? Damn space necromancers!" he roared at the sky, as if declaring to some distant being, "This is humanity!"

The sky above the Spirit Realm began to distort, the power of the cosmic beasts surged forth, and fine cracks appeared on the surface of the black stone obelisk as two completely opposite forces clashed fiercely.

No one retreated, no one surrendered.

On this cursed battlefield, the battle between metal and flesh will continue until the very last moment, and humanity will never retreat a single step.

The golden psychic energy of the battle nuns fluctuated in strength, like a candle flame in a storm.

Whenever the light dims, hordes of ordinary human support soldiers kneel on the ground, losing their minds and turning into zombie monsters that cannot distinguish friend from foe.

When the golden light returned, the soldiers struggled to their feet and picked up their weapons with trembling hands.

"Maintain formation!" Luo Tianfeng punched through the necromancer's chest and crushed the still-beating Gaussian core.

"Father, we will fight to the death for glory!" roared a space warrior following Luo Tianfeng.

His genetically enhanced organs are working overtime, pumping adrenaline mixed with nano-repair agents into his entire body. His pupils have dilated to their limit, and blood-red blind spots have begun to appear at the edges of his vision.

Human armies launched a desperate charge, devoid of tactics and formations, driven only by the most primal instinct to kill, leaving behind a path paved with severed limbs and remains.

Luo Tianfeng witnessed a shocking scene—only now did he realize just how valiant his genetic offspring truly were.

The overlord Kazzak personally led his royal guard to press forward.

These necromancer lords' guards, with their eerie green coats, are equipped with state-of-the-art phase weapons that can penetrate power armor with every attack.

A Space Marine's breastplate was intact, but his internal organs were shattered into a bloody pulp.

The Necromancers have deployed another secret weapon: massive Necromancer constructs have appeared on the battlefield, and the tide of battle has begun to turn.

Humanity has no reinforcements, while the undead in space keep coming.

At this critical moment, a deafening roar suddenly echoed from the edge of the battlefield. The voice was so familiar that Luo Tianfeng and Luo Tianxing's eyes widened simultaneously—

"Roar!!!"

A gigantic figure with wings of ice and fire descended from the sky, its giant sword cleaving the three massive Netherworld constructs in the front row in two!

"It's Father!" the two brothers exclaimed in unison.

The newcomer was none other than Rhodes, and the greatsword in his hand was naturally formed from the energy of a phantom beast.

A terrifying frost storm instantly swept across the entire battlefield, and a frozen giant leopard was roaring.

A woman with a lithe figure appeared beside Rhodes; it was Irina.

"And Mother, Mother has come too."

"Don't worry, my children, stay calm and collected. I'm here to help you," Rhodes and Elena said with a smile.

"It's the Mother of Genes! The great Mother of Genes has arrived!" The battle nuns who had been modified using Elena's gene seed immediately became excited.

"Powerful Bull-Breaking Fist!" Rod used his ultimate move directly.

Rhodes' power drew a golden-red streak across the battlefield. The fire power of Gomora, combined with the power of the Cosmic Buffalo, unleashed a super-powerful Bull-Breaking Fist.

The vortex of destruction swept dozens of undead constructs into it.

The enormous crimson bull's head rampaged across the battlefield, destroying all the undead units in its path.
