Chapter 56: Unpopular Insect Drugs

Chapter 56: Unpopular Insect Drugs

When Fangyan heard the name Doctor Wu Du, he knew that the person on the other side had misunderstood him.

The man known as the Five Poison Doctor is called Zhu Liangchun.

He is the 28th generation descendant of Zhu Xi. In his early years, he studied under Ma Huiqing, who came from a family of imperial physicians.

He then followed the famous Shanghai doctor Zhang Cigong to see patients, and was called the "Great King of Medicine" by Master Hongyi. He was also one of the first national medical masters.

He was best at using insect-based medicines to treat rheumatic bone diseases, tumors, and some difficult and complicated diseases, so he was called the Five Poison Doctor.

I studied his book "The Application of Insect Medicines" in my school, which is a very systematic and detailed study of insect medicines.

Counting the time, he is already sixty years old this year.

He has long been a famous doctor.

The five poisonous doctors that the middle-aged man mentioned refer to this person.

The dialect was understandable. It was the other party's first reaction when hearing about the use of insect medicine. Although this man had many students all over the south, the prescription today was not in his hands.

The Huangqi Chongteng Decoction prescribed by Fangyan was invented by another traditional Chinese medicine master, Xiong Jibai.

This prescription was summarized from hundreds of clinical experiences over more than ten years.

It is also worth mentioning that Dr. Xiong Jibai studied Chinese medicine since he was a child, started practicing medicine at the age of fourteen, started engaging in clinical work in Chinese medicine at the age of sixteen, and was selected as the third National Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the age of seventy-five.

He has published more than 12 papers and written more than books on Chinese medicine, of which were written independently.

The independently written book "The Essence of the Theory of the Internal Classic" is collected by many foreign university libraries and museums.

In 2003, a paper published in the journal "New Chinese Medicine" entitled "Experiences of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Diagnosing and Treating Difficult Diseases" listed many rare and difficult-to-treat diseases, and I remember that the dialect of half-body sweating was also recorded.

This prescription contains scorpions, earthworms, silkworms, centipedes, as well as Millettia reticulata, Piper mesenteriae, Trachelospermum officinale, Uncaria rhynchophylla, and Honeysuckle.

Scorpions, earth dragons, silkworms, centipedes, etc. are good at moving around and can clear wind, unblock meridians and relieve pain.

Among them, earthworms can dredge meridians and clear away heat, and are suitable for patients with arthralgia, joint discomfort and heat in the limbs.

The whole scorpion is particularly good at unblocking meridians and is very effective in treating stubborn arthritis and pain.

Centipedes are very strong, good at moving around and relieving numbness, and have an excellent ability to open up meridians and relieve pain.

Bombyx batryticatus tastes pungent and dispersing, can dispel wind and resolve phlegm, and can also treat phlegm and blood stasis blocking the meridians.

Vine-based medicines are light and can easily clear the joints and reach the limbs.

In Xiong Jibai's hands, this prescription has been proven many times to be effective before and after stroke.

Remember the recipe in dialect. Now you just need to analyze it clearly and then you can copy the homework directly.

However, this recipe has not yet been released, and Xiong Jibai himself does not even know that such a recipe exists.

Therefore, when the dialect is used, it is considered to be related to Zhu Liangchun, the Five Poison Doctor.

After all, when people in the industry are famous for using insect medicines, they will think of this person first.

"Don't worry about where I got the specific prescription for this insect medicine. As long as it works, it doesn't matter who prescribes it." Fangyan acted very calmly. He didn't stop writing and wrote out the prescription quickly. Before Fangyan traveled through time in later generations, this prescription had already been included in the "Experienced Prescriptions of National Medical Masters". Fangyan remembered the proportions of various medicinal materials in the prescription very clearly.

So it is also very fast to write, making people feel as if it has been used many times.

Of course the middle-aged man also noticed something, so he became more certain of his guess. It was obvious that this was not the first time the dialect was used.

He only knew the basic properties of insect medicine, but had basically never used it because Gu Xiu Tang was also blank in this area.

After seeing the prescription written by Fangyan, the middle-aged man was able to quickly identify the medicinal properties of the herbs. However, the combination of all kinds of insects was terrifying. In all his years of practicing medicine, he had never seen many people use insect medicines in this way.

Moreover, even after studying classical prescriptions for so long, he had never seen a similar prescription.

When the prescription came out, the middle-aged man was completely clueless, but he felt in his heart that the dosage of each medicinal ingredient in the prescription was determined after careful research.

After prescribing the medicine, Fangyan gave it directly to Jia Dapeng.

Jia Dapeng took the prescription and gave it to Le Miao for review first. However, Le Miao had the same idea as Fang Yan. She hesitated after looking at the prescription because she had never seen this prescription before. She only knew the medicinal effects of these insects.

After hesitating for a moment, she held the prescription and said to Fang Yan:
"I know the efficacy of these medicines, but I have never seen anyone use them this way. Who has used your prescription?"

Le Miao spoke very tactfully, but after all, they had been together for half a month, so Fang Yan still knew what she meant. Unlike the middle-aged man who was concerned about who gave the prescription, she wanted to ask Fang Yan whether the prescription was safe.

It doesn’t matter if so many anti-worm medicines can’t cure people, but if someone gets sick after taking them, that’s definitely what she doesn’t want to see.

"I learned this prescription from a local Taoist priest when I went to the countryside. I can guarantee its safety and effectiveness, but if you are really worried, I can drink it with the patient." Fang Yan expressed his attitude calmly.

Le Miao nodded, but she still didn't sign. Instead, she took out a box of finished pills, powders, pastes and pills from behind the counter and said to Fang Yan:

"I also know a little about blood stasis. How about trying the Xuefu Zhuyu Pills combined with acupuncture?"

"This can also promote blood circulation. You also said that the patient has blood stasis of qi and blood. Now that the syndrome is clear, we can directly use Xuefu Zhuyu Pills with acupuncture to promote blood circulation and eliminate blood stasis in the body. It should also achieve the same effect, right?"

When Fang Yan heard what Le Miao said, he did not refute it, but nodded and said:

"Well, you are right. There is indeed more than one way to treat blood stasis."

After that, he paused, looked at the patient, then looked at Le Miao, and then said:

"But the effect of Xuefu Zhuyu Pills won't be felt so quickly. His current symptoms should have been dragging on for a while. Although he has been using prescriptions to replenish qi and blood, it hasn't changed the fundamental problem."

"The reason why I prescribed Huangqi Chongteng Yin was to solve the problem quickly, because the longer you wait, the more likely the patient's condition will change."

"If his illness hadn't lasted so long, Xuefu Zhuyu Pills and Danggui Sini Decoction could have been used, but the only problem now is time. All other methods of treating blood stasis are not as fast as mine."

As he said this, he glanced at the middle-aged man, who felt a little guilty. It was true that the old man's illness had been delayed until now by them, but he didn't believe that he would have a stroke at any time.

Moreover, Gu Xiu Tang's method is to use the ancient recipe of Danggui Sini Tang, which is a legitimate traditional recipe, not a niche recipe like Fangyan's Chongteng recipe.

Le Miao on the other side also understood the dialect. She was still a little hesitant when looking at the prescription in her hand. After thinking for a while, she finally nodded and said:

"I understand what you mean. You can do the acupuncture first, and I'll make a phone call to ask."

Fang Yan also knew that Le Miao had already agreed in his heart, but as a store manager, he still had to prioritize safety. He didn't say much, and after agreeing, he asked the patient to have acupuncture.
