Just when the evil ghost was about to touch him, the horrible evil ghost and the whirlpool disappeared without a trace in an instant.

Even the man in black robe disappeared.

Wu Wen was breathing heavily, still a little frightened at the moment. He touched his forehead and found that it was covered with fine beads of sweat.

Leaning his head out from the corner, he saw that both King Qin Li Shimin and Wei Zheng had disappeared.

"Is there some unspeakable secret between Wei Zheng and Li Shimin?"

As soon as this thought came to mind, Wu Wen immediately shook his head, thinking it was impossible.

Wu Wen knew Wei Zheng and had been with him for a long time. He knew him very well, and it was obvious that Wei Zheng was wary of Qin Wang Li Shimin.

Unless he was really the kind of person who was treacherous but appeared loyal, there could be no collusion between him and Li Shimin.

Li Chunfeng said slowly: "The art of bewitching souls is a profound secret art in illusion."

"Generally speaking, illusions are mostly tricks to deceive the eyes, just like some magicians in Chang'an City. The so-called empty bowl produces water and the three immortals return to the cave are all tricks that rely on superb skills to deceive the eyes."

"And slightly more powerful illusions use light and shadow to create illusions in people's eyes, thus creating phantoms to confuse people."

"And this art of bewitching souls is an extremely profound secret art among illusion arts."

"It uses special means to confuse people's minds, causing them to have hallucinations in their minds, and they become deeply trapped in them and unable to extricate themselves, just like falling into the Avici Hell."

Listening to Li Chunfeng's story, Wu Wen felt that this technique of bewitching the soul was somewhat similar to hypnosis.

"That's right." Li Chunfeng nodded, revealing a teachable expression. "Illusion, it's fake after all. How can something fake compete with the real thing?"

"To consult the spirits is to observe and think according to the most fundamental way of the Tao in this world.

Illusions are nothing more than unorthodox methods in front of him, how can we fight against them!"

Hearing this, Wu Wen nodded humbly.

Then, Li Chunfeng said solemnly: "However, having said that, you still have to remember that it is best to stay away from that kind of people in the future."

This was the second time someone reminded him to stay away from the man in black robe. Wu Wen nodded seriously again and kept these words firmly in his mind.

He still understands the principle that the devil is always one step ahead of the good.

With the abilities I have now, how can I compete with someone who can make me fall in love with him with just a glance?
What's more, he hasn't mastered the art of summoning spirits!

To be honest, Wu Wen doesn't think anyone can really reach the state of 'inviting the immortals', which is almost an absolutely rational state. What's the difference between that and a human or a machine?
The conversation with Li Chunfeng ended.

Li Chunfeng continued to devote himself to his own affairs.

Wu Wen walked down the stairs and came to another floor of the library, where he began looking for books on illusions, intending to improve his knowledge in this area.

After searching for a long time, Wu Wen finally only found a Buddhist scripture.

But don’t think that this is just a Buddhist scripture, its content actually teaches people how to fight against illusions.

The way it teaches is to cultivate the five senses so that one will no longer be deceived by the outside world and thus not fall into illusions.

Human consciousness is composed of the five basic senses.

The five consciousnesses are eye consciousness, ear consciousness, nose consciousness, tongue consciousness, and body consciousness.

Visual consciousness: It is based on the eye root and is related to the color realm. That is, the eyes receive and interpret visual information from the outside world.

Ear consciousness: It is based on the ear and is related to sound. That is, the ear receives and interprets sound information from the outside world.

Nose consciousness: It is based on the nose and is related to the fragrance. That is, the nose receives and interprets odor information from the outside world.

Tongue consciousness: It is based on the root of the tongue and is related to taste. That is, the tongue receives and interprets taste information from the outside world.

Body consciousness: It is based on the body and is related to touch. That is, the body receives and interprets tactile information from the outside world.

The Buddhist scriptures explain that the world observed by people, that is, the world of consciousness, is actually received and constructed by one's own five senses.

The colors and shapes seen by the eyes, the sounds heard by the ears, the smells smelled by the nose, the tastes tasted by the tongue, and the touch felt by the body, all of these are the work of the five senses.

Illusion, on the other hand, creates false perceptions and experiences by interfering with or distorting sensory information, thereby confusing people.

Cultivation requires returning to one's true self, that is, realizing that all external phenomena are illusory and unreal, and only inner purity and tranquility are real and eternal.

Through the cultivation of the five senses, one can gradually free oneself from obsession and fascination with external phenomena, so that when faced with illusions one can maintain inner peace and tranquility and not be deceived by them.

In the scriptures, there are only two steps to cultivate the five senses.

One is meditation, which can be used to improve one's concentration.

The second is to focus on perception. In daily life, we should consciously focus on the perception process of the five senses.

For example, when observing, carefully distinguish the shape, color, texture and other subtle details of an object; when listening, pay close attention to the source, pitch, rhythm and other characteristics of the sound.

In this way, when encountering an illusion, one will be able to clearly distinguish what is real and what is an illusion.

"Focus, five senses to distinguish, this is quite compatible with 'Spiritual of the Gods'!"
