Chapter 348 Gin is arrested

Chapter 348 Gin is arrested (2 updates)
The air in the woods was thick with the smell of gunpowder, and withered leaves swirled in the heat of the gunfire.

Gin's long, silvery-white hair gleamed coldly in the moonlight.

He crouched behind a sturdy oak tree, his sniper rifle resting steadily on a branch.

"Bang! Bang!"

Two more precise shots followed, and in the distance came the muffled thud of an FBI agent falling to the ground.

Gin smirked and pulled the trigger again—"click," came the sound of an empty chamber.

We've run out of bullets.

Seeing that most of the others had already left, Gin decided not to linger any longer.

He deftly put away his sniper rifle, turned and left, his black trench coat fluttering in the night wind.

However, as he retreated along the planned route, he keenly noticed something unusual—it was too quiet, not even the chirping of insects!

There's an ambush nearby!
Realizing this, Gin's alertness instantly spiked, and he instinctively took two steps back.

boom----

A bullet grazed his cheek, leaving a smoking bullet hole in the tree trunk.

Gin almost instinctively rolled to the side, throwing away his sniper rifle and drawing his Beretta from his waist to counterattack.

He looked closely and saw Shuichi Akai slowly emerge from behind a tree about ten meters away. He held up a Jericho 941 pistol and sneered, "Long time no see, Gin."

His voice was deep and cold, and his dark green eyes looked like those of a predatory beast in the moonlight.

"Traitor!" Gin raised his hand and fired three shots in quick succession, the bullets precisely blocking Shuichi Akai's movement.

Shuichi Akai nimbly dodged, simultaneously firing two shots back: "I was never one of yours." His tone was sarcastic.

The two figures moved quickly through the woods, bullets whizzing between tree trunks, sending up splinters of wood.

Gin suddenly stopped abruptly, used the moonlight to see Akai's position, and raised his hand to fire a preemptive shot.

"boom!"

The bullet grazed Shuichi Akai's ear, drawing a thin line of blood.

He squinted, suddenly pulled a grenade from his waist, and pulled the safety pin without hesitation.

“Try this,” he whispered, tossing the grenade toward the bushes where Gin was hiding.

"boom!"

The blast wave sent mud and fallen leaves flying everywhere.

Gin rolled away at the last second to avoid the danger, and quickly approached Akai under the cover of smoke.

A murderous glint flashed in his eyes; Beretta's gun was already pointed at Akai's back—

"boom!"

The sudden gunshot forced Gin to change his posture.

He turned his head sharply, and a masked person emerged from the bushes on the other side, a gun still emitting smoke.

Gin's pupils contracted slightly, but he quickly regained his composure: "Two rats," he scoffed, as he rapidly changed magazines.

The ensuing firefight was like a violent storm.

Gin nimbly weaved through the trees, sometimes retaliating and sometimes dodging.

His skills are quite remarkable. Even when facing attacks from two top agents, he was still able to fight back and not be at a disadvantage at all!
However, he has a weakness.

That means we don't have enough bullets for our handguns!
“You’re out of bullets,” Shuichi Akai said calmly. This time, he didn’t avoid Gin’s gun, watching as the other pulled the trigger again, and then heard the sound of an empty chamber.

It was exactly the same as his calculation.

Without the slightest hesitation, Shuichi Akai aimed at the other man's arm and fired.

Amuro Tooru also fired at the same time, hitting the opponent in the thigh.

Gin was shot once in the arm and once in the thigh, his blood staining his black trench coat.

He leaned against the tree trunk, panting, but his eyes remained fierce.

“Give up, Gin.” Shuichi Akai raised his gun and closed in, his finger firmly on the trigger. Gin suddenly laughed, a laugh tinged with madness: “You think this is all?”

Amuro Tooru, sensing something was wrong, shouted, "Watch out!"

But it was too late. Gin suddenly ripped open his trench coat, revealing the explosives strapped to his body.

Amuro Tooru decisively turned and ran away.

However, Shuichi Akai stood motionless, his cold expression seemingly saying, "Go ahead and detonate the bomb if you dare, we'll all die together!"

Gin didn't say anything, but coldly pressed the button.

boom---

Amidst the deafening explosion, thick smoke billowed into the sky.

However, all that happened was a cloud of smoke; the explosion itself was not violent.

When the smoke cleared, Shuichi Akai had already subdued Gin, and just in case, he knocked him unconscious.

After Amuro Tooru returned, he realized that he had been deceived by Gin.

"Damn it!" He stomped his foot angrily, feeling cheated!

Shuichi Akai ignored Tooru Amuro's self-blame, took out his phone, contacted James, and said, "I caught Gin."

James, on the other end of the phone, was stunned for a moment after hearing the news.

He then jumped to his feet, exclaiming in surprise, "Really? You caught Gin? That's wonderful! I'll send people right now... no, I'll bring people to assist you right now!!"

With that, he threw his cigarette butt on the ground and stomped on it twice, eager to lead his men to assist Shuichi Akai!
Meanwhile, Vermouth, disguised as a police officer, was quite surprised when she heard the news from afar.

She never expected Gin to be arrested.
After thinking it over, she ultimately decided not to get involved.

Her most important task at present is to destroy the experimental equipment and reagents.

Gin was just arrested, not executed. There's still a chance to rescue him!

However, Vermouth still found an opportunity to pass this information on to Rum.

------------------

"Huh? Where's Big Brother? Why hasn't he arrived yet? Could he be lost?" Vodka wondered why Gin hadn't shown up after arriving at the meeting point.

He remembered that his older brother was always punctual and was almost never late.

Just then, Vodka's phone rang.

When he saw that it was Rum calling, he immediately answered the phone.

"What? Boss Rum got arrested? Are you kidding me?"

"Damn it!! I'm going to rescue my brother right now!"

"But... okay, I understand, I'll go back now."

Vodka was very unwilling after hanging up the phone.

But he knew Rum was right; going there would be like throwing an egg against a rock.

We still need to go back and discuss this further.

Vodka got into the Porsche 356A, stepped on the gas, and sped away.

He didn't notice that a drone was closely following him from a distance.

Using a drone, Shiraishi E followed Vodka from a distance.

An hour later, he watched as Vodka drove the Porsche into a manor, and the signal from his drone began to weaken.

"Oh? They've blocked the signal?" Shiraishi E's eyes lit up when she saw this, and she immediately realized that this was most likely where Rum lived.

He immediately recalled the drone to avoid alerting the enemy.

Considering Rum's exceptional ability to survive, he decided to further ascertain the enemy's location before unleashing a barrage of fire.
