I'm in Conan, I'm not a gangster

Chapter 354 Yukiko's Visit, Filming Goes Wrong

Chapter 354 Yukiko's Visit, Filming Goes Wrong (2 Updates)
Shiraishi E and Mouri Kogoro emerged from Sawaki Kohei's hospital room into a corridor filled with the smell of disinfectant, and then went to another hospital room.

After knocking on the door to register, Kogoro Mouri pushed the door open and entered.

Shiraishi E, who came in later, saw Conan sitting on a chair by the hospital bed, examining several photos carefully.

Dr. Agasa lay awkwardly on the hospital bed, his round face contorted in pain.

"Doctor, how are you feeling?" Kogoro Mouri gently closed the door and asked with a hint of concern.

Dr. Agasa turned his head with difficulty, gave a brief greeting to the two of them, and then said with a wry smile, "It's alright, it's nothing serious. It's just that there's an arrow stuck in my butt. The doctor said I have to lie on my stomach for at least a week."

"What exactly happened?" Kogoro Mouri stepped forward with a worried expression and asked for details.

"Sigh." Professor Agasa sighed, looking unlucky, "I was making coffee at home when suddenly, 'whoosh!'"

He made an exaggerated gesture: "The arrow shot in through the window and hit me right in the cough cough."

At this point, he blushed and was too embarrassed to continue.

But everyone understands.

Conan, who was standing nearby, adjusted his glasses and handed a photo to Shiraishi E: "This is the only photo they found at the scene."

The photo shows a metal knight's helmet ornament, gleaming coldly in the sunlight.

Shiraishi E took the photo, gently stroking the image with her fingertips, and gave a hint: "This is the decoration on the Jack of a playing card."

Now that Sawaki Kohei is in bed, there's no need to hide any more clues.

"J?" Conan's eyes lit up, and he quickly pulled out a few more photos from his bag: "So the one found at the scene of Inspector Megure's attack is K, and the decorations at the scene of Aunt Eri's poisoning are Q!"

Kogoro Mouri leaned closer and said in surprise, "Huh? These things are at a murder scene? I don't know about them."

Conan looked at the third-rate detective with a speechless expression and said helplessly, "I found out from Officer Sato, who is in charge of this case."

"Ah... I see. I've been busy looking for the culprit, so..." Kogoro Mouri smiled somewhat awkwardly.

Fortunately, Conan already knew how bad Kogoro Mouri's reasoning skills were, so he wasn't too surprised.

He Sri deduced slowly, "K is 13, Q is the Queen, and J is 11. This corresponds exactly to the victim's characteristics!"

"Inspector Megure's name is Megure Juzo, and his name happens to have thirteen in it!"

“Eri Kisaki’s name contains the character ‘Ki,’ which corresponds to the Queen.”

"Professor Agasa's 'shi' is a combination of 11."

"Following this pattern, the next victim's name should contain a cross!"

Conan then turned to Kogoro Mouri and asked, "Uncle, which of your friends has a cross in their name?"

"Mr. Hiroki Tsuji!" Kogoro Mori quickly realized who it was, after all, the other man had treated him to drinks not long ago.

Realizing this, he quickly pulled out his phone: "That guy has a helicopter flight scheduled for tomorrow, it's too dangerous! Let's call him and warn him."

Conan chimed in, "It's best to stay by his side and protect him, while also watching to see if the culprit shows up!"

Kogoro Mouri agreed to the suggestion. However, he paused, then asked with a puzzled look, "If that's the case, why weren't there any markers left at the scene when Sawaki was hit?"

Conan was also stumped for a moment, so he could only stroke his chin and ponder: "Maybe it was just an accident?"

Kogoro Mouri could only put it aside for the time being. He turned to Professor Agasa and bowed deeply: "Professor, I'm so sorry. It's all because of me that you got hurt."

"Don't say that, it's not your fault." Professor Agasa quickly waved his hand.

After repeatedly apologizing, Kogoro Mouri and Conan hurriedly left.

Shiraishi watched the two figures disappear into the distance, then casually closed the door to the ward, no longer paying attention to their futile investigation.

He left the hospital, bought some fruit baskets, and then went to another hospital to visit Eri Kisaki.

By this time, it was already dusk.

When Shiraishi E arrived at Eri Kisaki's hospital room carrying a fruit basket, it was already afternoon.

The last rays of the setting sun filtered through the blinds, casting dappled light and shadow on the floor of Eri Kisaki's hospital room. Shiraishi E entered the room, carrying a fruit basket that emitted a faint, pleasant fragrance.

His gaze swept across the room—Ran was carefully adjusting her mother's pillow height, Sonoko was peeling an apple beside her, and Yukiko was sitting on a chair by the window, unusually lacking her usual energy, her brows showing signs of fatigue.

"Hui, you're here." Xiaolan greeted her, a smile returning to her face.

Yuanzi brandished the fruit knife and said enthusiastically, "Perfect timing, the apple will be peeled in a minute!"

Yukiko stood up, smiled, and nodded, which was her way of greeting.

Shiraishi placed the fruit basket on the bedside table and asked Eri Kisaki, who was lying in the hospital bed, "Ms. Kisaki, are you feeling better?"

A faint smile appeared on Eri's pale face: "Much better."

“Ms. Yukiko,” E Shiraishi turned to the actress by the window, “when did you arrive?”

Yukiko rubbed her temples, trying to relieve her fatigue, and said, "As soon as I heard the news, I stopped what I was doing and rushed over."

"Any progress on the investigation?" she suddenly asked, a sharp glint in her eyes, completely unlike her usual joking self.

Shiraishi sat down on the chair at the foot of the bed: "Conan and Mr. Mori have identified the suspect and are investigating."

"Really?" Xiaolan clasped her hands together, her eyes shining with hope.

Sonoko handed the peeled apple to Shiraishi E: "Great! We must catch that bastard who poisoned it!"

Eri Kisaki said softly, "It's good that we can catch it."

Her voice was still a little weak, but her expression was clearly much more relaxed.

Time passed as Shiraishi E explained the findings of the investigation to them.

As the sun gradually set, the light in the ward became dim.

Xiaolan got up and turned on the light, the warm yellow light dispelling the twilight.

“It’s already this late,” Eri glanced at the clock on the wall. “You guys should go eat, don’t go hungry.”

Yukiko wanted to say something, but Eri waved her hand, "I'm really fine, I just want to sleep for a while."

The four exchanged glances and finally nodded in agreement. Xiaolan carefully tucked the blanket around her mother: "Mom, be sure to call me if anything happens."

Eri nodded repeatedly, indicating that she would.

Night had completely fallen when the four left the hospital.

In the cool night breeze, they walked along the street and found a restaurant to have dinner.

During the meal, the four of them chatted casually.

The three students' lives were monotonous and boring, so there wasn't much to talk about. Eventually, the conversation turned to Yukiko's new movie.

Yukiko stirred the salad bowl aimlessly with her fork, then sighed, "The filming isn't going well at all!"

"What's wrong?" Xiaolan asked with concern.

“Some people,” Yukiko’s fingers gripped her napkin tightly, “have signed contracts, yet they change their minds at the last minute. The props team deliberately delayed the process, and the venue fee inexplicably tripled.”

She said, extremely frustrated, "The producer even hinted that I should 'show my appreciation'."

"What?!" Yuanzi slammed her hand on the table, drawing stares from the guests at the neighboring tables. "This is outrageous!"

Xiaolan was also at a loss for words.

Shiraishi E ate his dinner at a leisurely pace, feeling that this trivial matter was not worth stopping his meal.

If there's a problem, just solve it.

Although he doesn't understand filming and can't solve this problem.

But can't he get rid of the person who caused the problem?
