I'm in Conan, I'm not a gangster
Chapter 413 This kid is a talent
Chapter 413 This kid is a talent (2nd update)
The heavy rain is still falling, but the intensity has decreased considerably.
On the muddy mountain road, Shiraishi E hoisted the unconscious Vodka onto her shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
Weighing over 200 pounds, he couldn't help but groan, "This bastard looks so short, how can he be so heavy? Alright, we can go now."
"Wait!" Conan suddenly grabbed his sleeve, his glasses still covered in mud, and said, "We can't just leave like this."
He pointed to the men in black lying haphazardly on the ground: "If we ignore them, these people, although their gunshot wounds are not fatal, will bleed to death."
Heiji, clutching his swollen cheek, limped over: "The brat is right, and the wound will most likely get infected, making them die even faster!! We have to stop it for them."
He then reached for his belt to use as a tourniquet.
Shiraishi E was speechless: "Hey, hey, have you guys forgotten—" He kicked the man in black beside him and said, "These guys are here to take your lives!"
Conan had already crouched down and torn open the trouser leg of one of the men in black to examine his wounds: "They are criminals, that's true, but they shouldn't have died like this in the middle of nowhere."
Heiji nodded, tore off a few strips of cloth from his clothes, and said, "The Osaka Police Station's interrogation room is where these bastards should be."
Shiraishi rolled her eyes. Aren't you afraid that after you save them, these people will turn around and stab you in the back?
However, he knew he couldn't persuade the two of them.
But he didn't need to persuade them.
“Even if you manage to stop their bleeding, they’ll die from hypothermia in this heavy rain.” Shiraishi gave them a suggestion: “Once we’re a bit further away, we can ‘call’ the villa and have their people come and handle the scene.”
"Making a phone call?" Heiji raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Where would a message come from in this desolate wilderness—"
Before he could finish speaking, he saw Shiraishi E point to the RPG launcher on the ground, and he suddenly realized what was going on.
Conan's lips twitched: "You wouldn't be thinking of..."
“Smart.” Shiraishi E smiled slightly and said, “Yes, just as you thought.”
Heiji grinned, revealing his gleaming white teeth: "I love this idea. There's no louder 'telephone' than this."
The three quickly evacuated the scene.
Shiraishi watched as Vodka returned to the "stolen" car.
Heiji and Conan worked together to carry the heavy RPG, looking like two squirrels carrying pine cones.
The injured Heiji grimaced, "This thing is ten times heavier than the bamboo sword from the kendo club."
"Stop talking and concentrate. I don't think you're doing anything!" Conan complained.
"Nonsense, I'm already like this, how much effort can I put in?" Heiji said irritably.
The two men complained as they dragged the RPG into the car.
Shiraishi then drove to a small, open hillside.
Heiji and Conan got out of the car and carried the RPG out.
Heiji knelt down on one knee and placed the launch tube on his shoulder.
Conan tiptoed to adjust the scope: "Five degrees to the left. The main entrance of the villa."
Seeing that the two of them didn't need her help, Shiraishi E happily watched the show from the car.
"Are you ready?" Heiji's voice trembled with pain.
"Ready! I'm about to launch!" Conan said, sounding slightly nervous.
"Alright, fire it!" Conan pulled the trigger as soon as Heiji finished speaking.
boom! ! !
Orange-red flames erupted, and the massive shockwave knocked the two of them to the ground.
Heiji rolled around in the mud three times like a gourd before stopping.
Conan fared even worse, tumbling headfirst into the bushes, with only his two short legs sticking out and kicking wildly.
"Pfft, hahaha!" Shiraishi E laughed so hard she slapped her thigh. She felt that this scene alone made all her efforts to help them worthwhile: "You two, hahaha, you're more entertaining than a circus!"
"Shut up, you bastard!" Heiji spat out the mud in his mouth and struggled to his feet.
A fireball had already risen from the villa's gate in the distance, standing out starkly against the gloomy sky. Conan, his head covered in leaves and his glasses askew, emerged from the bushes: "Hurry! They'll be here soon!"
He had barely finished speaking when the piercing alarm sounded, shattering the rain, and countless searchlights lit up in the direction of the villa.
Conan and Heiji exchanged a glance and simultaneously ran back to the car.
Shiraishi then stepped on the gas and quickly drove away from the crime scene.

"boom--!"
A deafening explosion suddenly rang out in the night sky, and the glass windows on the third floor of the villa rattled from the shockwave.
Gin's wine glass trembled slightly, and a few drops of scarlet liquid splashed onto his black gloves.
"Enemy attack!" Hurried footsteps came from outside the door, and several men in black rushed in to report the situation.
Gin slowly put down his glass and walked to the window.
Through the rain, the blazing fire at the gate was visible. A cold smile curled at the corner of his lips: "Interesting."
Vermouth arrived just then, and said with a hint of amusement, "Looks like your 'little game' has gone too far~"
Gin ignored her teasing and pressed the intercom: "All personnel on alert, search radius 500 meters."
Ten minutes later, an urgent report came through the walkie-talkie: "Report! Ambush site found 1.2 kilometers southeast! All three Humvees destroyed, but..."
The other person's voice suddenly became hesitant: "No trace of Brother Vodka has been found."
"Huh?" Upon hearing this, Gin immediately realized that Vodka, that idiot, had been ambushed the moment he stepped outside!
"Casualties?" His voice remained calm.
"Ten or sixteen peripheral members were shot, but they were all only rendered unable to fight. Strangely, the attackers did not finish them off."
Vermouth raised an eyebrow upon hearing this: "Oh? So gentle?"
She chuckled and walked to Gin's side, saying, "It seems our little Osaka detective not only knows how to run away, but also how to counter-ambush."
A playful glint flashed in her blue eyes as she reminded him, "This kid's got some talent. There aren't many guys with brains like him in the organization anymore~ Gin, don't you think it's a shame to kill him like this?"
Gin silently stared at the torrential rain outside the window, his indifferent face reflected in the glass.
After a long silence, he suddenly let out a low laugh: "Indeed. It would be too much of a waste to kill him directly."
Gin no longer intends to kill Heiji; the kid has proven to be more valuable than he imagined.
Moreover, he did need a smarter person to help him investigate the traitor.
Vodka was loyal, but utterly incompetent.
These two might be able to make up for it and be of great help to me.
As for the other dead peripheral members of the organization...
In Gin's eyes, these are not even people, they are just consumables!
If they're dead, they're dead. We can just spend money to hire someone else, right?
Anyway, as long as you're willing to spend money, these peripheral members can be quickly replenished!
"Lord Gin!" came the anxious voice of his subordinate over the walkie-talkie: "Should we send more men to continue the pursuit? And what about the wounded—"
"Just throw him into the lab!" Gin interrupted coldly. "If he's dead, just get rid of him."
"Huh? Oh... okay... okay." The person on the walkie-talkie was also startled by Gin's order, but he didn't dare to disobey and could only obediently carry out the other party's orders.
Vermouth, standing to the side, shook her head and clicked her tongue: "How cold-blooded~ They didn't even want to save him, they just threw him away to be an experimental subject."
Seeing that Gin didn't react, she pouted, feeling bored, and continued, "Since you don't plan to kill him, I'll go and inform him, and bring that big oaf back while I'm at it."
Gin didn't answer, but simply picked up his glass again.
Vermouth knew this meant tacit approval, and hummed a song as she walked towards the door.
