I'm in Conan, I'm not a gangster

Chapter 478 Imperial Hotel

Chapter 478 Imperial Hotel (2nd Update)
Yusaku Kudo glanced at his watch; the hour hand pointed to 8:45 PM. He straightened his dark gray suit and tie and strode confidently into the opulent lobby of the Imperial Hotel.

"Good evening, sir." The receptionist greeted him with a professional smile.

Yusaku took his passport out of his inner pocket: "Yusaku Kudo, Room 1201."

As the receptionist checked the information on the computer, Yuzuo's gaze subtly swept across the lobby.

Two security guards in black suits stood at the elevator entrance, walkie-talkies clipped to their waists;
On the sofa in the rest area, a man reading a newspaper occasionally glanced around.

In addition, there are many hidden security personnel silently patrolling for suspicious individuals.

"Mr. Kudo, your check-in is complete." The receptionist handed him his passport. "Would you like us to take your luggage to your room?"

"No need," Yusaku said with a smile, turning to walk towards the elevator.

"Sir, please come this way." A security guard approached and said, "Hotel policy requires all guests to go through a security check."

Yusaku raised an eyebrow: "So strict?"

"This is to ensure the safety of our guests," the security guard explained apologetically, gesturing for him to walk through the metal detector gate.

Yuzaku walked over, and the detection door remained silent.

The security personnel checked again with a handheld scanner and only allowed entry after confirming everything was in order: "The elevator is on your right. Have a pleasant stay."

Yuzaku nodded his thanks, then entered the elevator and pressed the button for the 12th floor.

Arriving at the door of room 1201, Yuzuo calmed his breathing, pressed the doorbell—three short rings followed by one long ring, a pause, then two more short rings.

Soon, the door clicked open.

Shiraishi E didn't look around, nor did he need to observe everywhere... No one had the ability to evade his detection.

He let Yusaku Kudo in.

Yusaku slipped inside and closed the door behind him.

"How's the situation?" He went straight to the point, his gaze sweeping across the living room: "Have you brought all the weapons in?"

"Of course! What else would I promise you if I couldn't do it?" Shiraishi E smiled.

This kind of thing is not difficult for him at all.

Just open the Bandit Shop and click around.

Even taking a dump is more difficult than this.

He walked toward the bedroom: "Come with me."

He pushed open the bedroom door and lifted the white sheet on the bed—beneath it lay a variety of sophisticated weapons, neatly arranged like a small armory.

"MP5K submachine gun, Beretta 92FS, and this—" Shiraishi E picked up a jet-black Remington 870 tactical shotgun, skillfully pulling the pump-action mechanism, producing a chilling "click" sound. "A close-quarters combat weapon; one shot at close range can take someone down."

A hint of surprise flashed in Yusaku's eyes: "You even managed to bring in this kind of heavy firepower?"

He picked up the shotgun to inspect it and exclaimed in surprise, "I checked when I came in just now; the hotel's security system is military-grade!"

"Shiraishi-kun, you're truly amazing!" he exclaimed sincerely. "You even managed to get me in here!"

He didn't foolishly ask how they brought it in.

These are all top-secret intelligence; they might be making a living off this.

How could I possibly reveal it to others so easily?
Shiraishi handed a Glock 19 to Yusaku: "If you don't even have this much skill, how dare you be so arrogant?"

At that moment, the doorbell rang again—two long rings and one short ring.

Kamishiraishi walked quickly to the door, checked through the peephole, and then opened it.

Conan's small figure nimbly slipped in, followed by an uneasy-looking Kogoro Mouri. "All this mystery is making me a little nervous," Kogoro Mouri said, loosening his tie to try and relax.

"Don't you think we're like a secret operation by the main characters in a spy movie?" Shiraishi said, leading the two into the room.

"That's why I'm nervous." Kogoro Mouri immediately grabbed a bulletproof vest and put it on.

He then picked up an MP5K and skillfully checked the weapon's condition.

As he inspected the area, he frowned and looked at Conan: "Kudo, are you sure you want to let this brat Conan participate in the operation? Isn't that too dangerous?"

Yusaku ruffled Conan's hair and said, "He's responsible for observation and providing intelligence; he won't directly participate in the firefight."

Conan adjusted his glasses and said, "I'll climb into the ventilation duct and use this—"

He took out a tablet computer modified by Professor Agasa from his backpack and said, "I'll provide you with real-time intelligence through the hotel's surveillance system."

Kogoro Mouri looked at Conan with suspicion, but finally sighed in resignation: "Kid, then stay in a safe place and don't run around. If you hear gunshots, hide immediately, understand?"

Yusaku walked to the coffee table in the center of the suite and spread out a hand-drawn hotel floor plan: "Here's the plan—to mislead the enemy, I've invited some actor friends to stay in several rooms on the 14th floor. The people in the organization will think they're FBI agents."

“When the enemy attacks the FBI,” he gestured from the 14th to the 17th floor, “we take the opportunity to raid the presidential suite on the 17th floor and capture our target.”

Shiraishi listened silently, realizing that Kudo Yusaku was indeed a novelist.

Even when a person is full of martial virtue, they still habitually use their brain to set traps for the organization!
This tactic of luring the tiger away from the mountain was indeed well-executed, effectively avoiding a large-scale firefight.

Kogoro Mouri, who was loading magazines into his tactical vest, looked up when he heard this: "Who is the target? What does he look like?"

Yusaku's expression gradually turned serious: "This assassin's codename is Gin. His features are very obvious—long silver hair, always dressed in black, and left-handed."

"He was an extremely dangerous killer; it is said that more than four figures died at his hands."

"Gin?!" Conan exclaimed in surprise.

He never expected that the bait sent by the organization would be this most dangerous guy!
Yes!

Only using Gin as bait would warrant an FBI operation!

Conan wanted to warn Kogoro Mouri not to be careless, but when he saw the shotgun in the other man's hand, he couldn't utter a single word.

No matter how powerful Gin is, he is still made of flesh and blood.

Even after being hit by a shotgun blast, he was still riddled with holes.

And then there's Uncle Mori's marksmanship...

Conan had a feeling that Gin was probably in for a rough time this time.

Shiraishi leaned against the wall, slowly attaching a silencer to a P226 pistol: "I'll cover your retreat and make sure no reinforcements disturb you."

Just as everyone was ready, Kogoro Mouri asked, "When do we begin?"

Just as Yuzu was about to answer, all the lights in the suite suddenly went out, and the emergency lighting system lit up with an eerie red light.

"Looks like we don't need to wait any longer." Yusaku's voice was exceptionally clear in the darkness. After putting on his night vision goggles, he said, "The operation begins now!"

Conan quickly ran to the ventilation duct, removed the grille, and said, "I'm going towards the monitoring room. Keep the communication going!" His figure quickly disappeared into the dark ventilation duct.

After Kogoro Mouri put on his night vision goggles, he exchanged a glance with Yusaku, and the two middle-aged men nodded in unison.

Yusaku opened the door, and Kogoro Mori immediately rushed out. The two of them, one in front of the other, quickly headed towards the emergency staircase and rushed straight to the seventeenth floor.

Shiraishi E parted ways with the two after reaching the 14th floor, turning around and entering the corridor on the 14th floor.
