Chapter 490 Judy in a Coma
Chapter 490 Judy in a Coma (2 Updates)
Judy fell from the sky and landed in the hot spring with a splash.
Huge splashes of water erupted from the surface of the hot spring.
The splashing waves soaked the surrounding wooden platform.
"The teacher fell!" Xiaolan exclaimed and immediately rushed over.
Shiraishi E was faster than her, leaping into the water in one bound.
Beneath the surface, Judy Sterling's blonde hair was spread out like seaweed. Her eyes were closed, and her limbs were twitching unnaturally, clearly indicating that she had injured herself during the fall.
She instinctively tried to struggle to get up, but the sharp pain in her right arm and left leg made it impossible for her to exert any force.
Bubbles kept gushing from her mouth, and hot spring water began to flow into her nasal cavity.
Shiraishi dived underwater, her strong arms encircling Judy's waist.
When he pulled her out of the water, Judy was already pale and unconscious.
He quickly laid her flat on the wooden platform by the hot spring, water droplets sliding down her pale face.
"Ran, prepare for CPR!" Shiraishi's voice was calm as she placed her hands, one on top of the other, on Judy's chest and began rhythmic compressions.
Xiaolan knelt beside Judy's head, her hands trembling as she cupped Judy's face in her hands.
She took a deep breath, leaned down, and sealed Judy's lips with hers, forcefully blowing air in. But her first attempt failed—she was too nervous and didn't blow enough air; Judy's chest barely rose or fell.
"One more time," Shiraishi E continued pressing. "Harder!"
"Okay...okay." Xiaolan tried again, but this time, because the angle was wrong, most of the air leaked out from the corner of her mouth.
Her face flushed with anxiety: "I...I can't."
She was so weak right now that she couldn't muster any strength in her body!
“Let me do it.” Eri Kisaki was already kneeling beside Ran. She neatly tucked her long hair behind her ear, pinched Jodie’s nose with one hand, lifted her chin with the other, and bent down to give a perfect, standard CPR.
Judy's chest was noticeably bulging.
Eri Shiraishi and Eri Kisaki worked together seamlessly, one pressing down and the other blowing air.
Steam from the hot spring swirled around them, and Xiaolan waited anxiously, her fists clenched tightly.
After more than a dozen cycles, Judy suddenly coughed violently, and hot spring water gushed from her mouth.
"She's alive!" Xiaolan said with a hint of joy.
Judy's blue eyes opened slightly, her vision blurry as she swept over the three of them, finally settling on Xiaolan.
Her lips trembled as she struggled to speak in heavily accented Japanese, "Don't...call the police."
As soon as she finished speaking, her eyelids closed heavily again, and her head tilted limply to one side.
“She’s badly injured.” Shiraishi E gently picked up Judy’s soaking wet body, feeling the unnatural bending of her right arm and left leg, and said, “It’s a miracle she didn’t die after falling from such a height.”
As he spoke, he put her down again, worried that if he hugged her like that, she would suddenly stop.
"I...I'll go find the first-aid kit," Xiaolan said, turning back into the house.
But in the unfamiliar presidential suite, she didn't know where the first-aid kit was. She went to the wrong room three times in a row, and was sweating profusely with anxiety. Finally, she found the white box marked with a red cross in the closet of the dressing room.
Eri went to the changing room and took out a yukata to cover up the other person's curvaceous figure and avoid an awkward situation.
When she returned to the open-air platform, Shiraishi was checking on Judy's injuries.
Eri noticed that his examination technique was unusually professional, unlike the emergency treatment of an ordinary person.
“She has a dislocated right shoulder, a possible fractured tibia in her left leg, and three broken ribs.” Shiraishi’s fingers gently traced Judy’s body, then paused suddenly: “Wait, there’s an old scar here. Is it a gunshot wound?”
Eri knelt down and placed the yukata aside: "Never mind that for now, change her wet clothes, or she'll get hypothermia."
The two worked together to carefully remove Judy's red dress, revealing her bruised skin underneath.
Eri noticed that Jodie had a small pistol holster on her waist, but it was now empty.
She exchanged a meaningful glance with Shiraishi E, but neither of them said anything.
When Ran finally rushed in carrying the first-aid kit, Shiraishi had already deftly reset Judy's dislocated shoulder and immobilized her leg with a makeshift splint. "Bandages, disinfectant," Ran gasped, opening the first-aid kit. "And... what's this?"
She picked up a small bottle with labels all in English.
“A powerful painkiller.” Shiraishi glanced at it. “Just what I need.” He skillfully pried open Judy’s mouth and placed the pill under her tongue.
For the next half hour, the three worked together seamlessly. Eri helped Jodie change into a dry yukata, Ran bandaged the shallower wounds, and Ei Shiraishi treated the fractures that required professional skills.
Throughout the entire process, Judy only let out a few unconscious groans when she was in the most pain.
"All done." Shiraishi E gave the splint a final check, then stepped back and wiped the sweat from her forehead.
"She needs to rest now. If her condition worsens after daybreak, we will consider sending her to the hospital."
Xiao Lan knelt beside her, looking at Judy's pale face with concern: "Why did the teacher fight with those people?"
"And why would she risk doing something like that?"
She felt a great deal of mystery in her heart at that moment.
Eri Kisaki adjusted her glasses: "Considering her request not to call the police, and the holster she was wearing—"
She deliberately left her sentence unfinished, turning her gaze to Shiraishi E.
Shiraishi E chimed in, "He's most likely a secret investigator who infiltrated the area!"
"It's fortunate she wasn't caught, otherwise... the consequences would have been dire!"
He carefully picked up Judy and carried her into the house.
He randomly picked a guest room, put Judy inside, and left her belongings aside.
After doing all this, Shiraishi E closed the door and left.
As soon as he returned to the living room, he saw Eri Kisaki say with a hint of worry, "I hope those people don't have very good eyesight and didn't find our correct floor!"
"Don't worry, the security in this presidential suite is strong enough. They won't be able to break in so easily," Shiraishi Ei said, indicating that the other party shouldn't overthink it.
"Yes! And Eri and I will protect you!" Ran hugged Eri's arm, indicating that she didn't need to worry.
Eri Kisaki smiled helplessly. Just as she was about to say something, the landline rang.
She picked up the landline, answered the call, and said, "How can I help you?"
The receptionist on the other end of the phone said, "Excuse me, guests. Other guests just reported that something seems to have fallen into your open-air hot spring area."
"Huh? Is that so? I'll go take a look, just a moment." Eri's tone was perfectly timed with surprise. Then she said to Shiraishi E and Ran, "Shiraishi-kun, Ran... the receptionist said something fell into our open-air hot spring area, could you go take a look?"
"Okay." Shiraishi E and Ran both said in unison, then got up and walked towards the open-air hot spring.
On the way, Xiaolan said worriedly, "This is bad... They know that Ms. Judy has come to stay with us."
"That's not necessarily true." Shiraishi E reassured Ran not to worry, saying, "If they really knew, they wouldn't have just called; they would have brought people up here directly."
"That's why they called to confirm, because they were unsure."
Xiao Lan suddenly realized: "Oh, so that's how it is... She even asked us to check on her?"
“Yes…this receptionist isn’t an idiot,” Shiraishi E said.
After he and Xiaolan walked around the open-air hot spring a few times, he would be done with his task.
"I don't see anything. Are you sure you're not mistaken?" Shiraishi E deliberately raised her voice.
“I understand… Um, are you sure you haven’t made a mistake? There’s nothing there in the open-air hot spring,” Eri Kisaki said. “Why don’t you send someone to check?”
"Oh, we must have made a mistake... I'm sorry to have bothered you." The receptionist said this and then hurriedly hung up the phone.
Obviously, she still had to call the people in the other rooms.
