Chapter 518 Reuniting with Kogoro Mouri (2nd Update)

With another deafening explosion, the twin towers shook violently.

The elevator carrying Kogoro Mouri, Mio Tokiwa, and the others suddenly stopped, followed by a piercing metallic scraping sound, before finally coming to a stop between the 42nd and 43rd floors.

He looked around, then suddenly clapped his hands and said, "Let's pry open the elevator door! Maybe we can climb out!"

Upon hearing this, several male guests immediately stepped forward to help.

However, when they saw the situation outside, everyone's faces instantly turned grim.

Instead of the expected corridor, there was a cold concrete wall outside the door.

"Huh? The elevator?" Shiraishi E's voice was mixed with the sound of wind as she said, "Wait a moment, I'm busy here too."

Kogoro Mouri was taken aback and was about to lash out when he suddenly caught a glimpse of something flashing past outside the sightseeing elevator.

He instinctively pressed his face against the glass and saw two figures swinging back and forth outside the building using fire hoses.

"That's...!" Kogoro Mouri's eyes widened. When the figure flashed by again, he finally recognized it: "Shiraishi?! And Eri?! You guys were bungee jumping outside the building?!"

"Where else can you jump?" Shiraishi E's voice came through the phone: "I see you... Tell everyone else to stay away from the glass."

Kogoro Mouri quickly did as instructed, directing everyone to retreat to the inside of the elevator.

Shiraishi put away her phone, adjusted the angle, and bought two special diamonds from the bandit shop, which she then installed directly on the soles of her shoes.

He used his momentum to swing towards the elevator, and kicked it hard just as he was about to reach the glass.

"Bang! Bang!"

After two heavy blows, the supposedly explosion-proof tempered glass finally developed cracks.

On the third impact, the entire glass shattered.

Just as Shiraishi Eri and Kisaki Eri swung into the elevator, the taut fire hose made a tearing sound as it could no longer bear the strain.

It snapped in two with a "crack".

Kogoro Mouri was the first to come to his senses and hurriedly asked, "Eri? You... why haven't you left yet? Didn't I tell you to leave first?"

Eri Kisaki glanced at Mio Tokiwa, who was holding onto Kogoro Mouri, and said calmly, "There were a lot of people crowding the elevator during the descent... so I left early."
