Chapter 566 Ayako, are you willing to make sacrifices for the family? (2 updates)
The black Mercedes slowly drove into a secluded villa area, its wheels making a soft sound as they rolled over the gravel road. Vermouth parked the car and went around to the back seat to help Yusaku, who was wearing a black eye mask, out of the car.

"Steps, be careful," Vermouth whispered, her voice devoid of any emotion.

Yusaku could feel the cold, hard marble steps beneath his feet, and a faint smell of disinfectant filled the air. The two passed through several automatic doors and finally stopped in front of a room. Vermouth knocked three times, then opened the door and ushered Yusaku inside.

"You can take them off now." A hoarse, aged voice came from deep within the room.

Yusaku removed his blindfold, revealing the infirmary he knew all too well—pure white walls, flashing medical instruments, and a huge life support device in the center.

Inside the device, a gaunt old man lay there, his body covered in tubes; he was none other than the organization's nominal leader—Karasuma Renya.

"BOSS." Yusaku bowed respectfully, but his gaze subtly swept over every corner of the room.

Renya Karasuma, inside the life support machine, slowly spoke, her voice coming through the speaker: "Vermouth... I've already told you, haven't I?"

“Yes.” Yusaku lowered his head slightly. “I just didn’t expect them to be so lawless.”

"They're used to acting recklessly abroad," Karasuma Renya's voice was broken, as if each word required immense effort. "This incident can be considered...a lesson for them."

Yuzuru noticed that there was a subtle delay between the frequency of the old man's lip movements and the sound coming from the speaker.

His pupils contracted slightly as he realized he had discovered something, but he maintained a respectful expression.

"Over there... the notebook on the table," Karasuma Renya said with difficulty, raising his thin, bony finger to point to the sandalwood table beside him. "You'll be in charge of those members' files from now on. Don't let me down."

Yuzuo strode to the table and picked up the notebook with the gold-embossed cover. He opened the first page, which contained detailed information on more than twenty organization members who had returned from overseas, including their code names, specialties, and recent activities.

"I will give you a satisfactory result within a week." Yuzak closed the notebook, his tone firm.

Karasuma Renya nodded slightly, then closed her eyes: "I'm tired, you can leave now."

Yuzuru bowed again, and as he turned to leave, his peripheral vision swept over the control panel of the life support machine—some of the parameter settings on it were clearly not in line with the physiological characteristics of a centenarian.

He closed the door without making a sound, and Vermouth, who was waiting outside, immediately put the blindfold back on him.

On the way back, Yusaku's brain was racing. The lip movements and voice of Karasuma Renya didn't match at all, and the vital signs data were obviously faked.

"We've arrived." Vermouth's voice interrupted his thoughts.

Yusaku removed his blindfold and found himself back in front of the Kudo mansion. Vermouth didn't say a word, and the black Mercedes quickly disappeared into the night.

In the study, Yusaku laid his notebook open on the table, the light from the desk lamp illuminating the unfamiliar names.

He quickly flipped through the pages, searching for the foreign woman that Shiraishi E had mentioned.

“We’ve found her, codenamed ‘Brandy.’” Yusaku’s finger hovered over a photograph. It showed a young blonde woman with blue eyes and a ruthless glint in her gaze. The records indicated she was skilled in close combat and explosives, and had recently been transferred back from Eastern Europe.

This idiot should be thrown out first, so she doesn't become a burden to him!
As an assassin, the worst thing you can do is to make threats everywhere and leave a lasting impression!

In addition, Yuzaku also plans to conduct a screening process and get rid of any members who do not follow orders.

Outside the window, a light rain began to fall from the Tokyo night sky. Yusaku got up and drew the curtains, but a question lingered in his mind: if the person in the infirmary wasn't the real Karasuma Renya, then who was the actual person in control of the organization?

Suzuki Villa · Tomoko Suzuki's Bedroom
Night had fallen when Ayako Suzuki gently knocked on her mother's door. "Come in," came Tomoko Suzuki's steady voice from inside.

Ayako pushed open the door and entered, finding her mother sitting in front of the dressing table, playing with an exquisite pocket watch in her hand, her thoughtful face reflected in the mirror.

"Mom, did you want to see me?" Ayako asked softly, closing the door behind her.

Tomoko Suzuki turned around, her gaze lingering on her daughter for a moment with pity, before finally speaking slowly: "Ayako, are you willing to make a sacrifice for the family?"

Ayako shuddered, her fingers instinctively clenching the hem of her skirt.

As the eldest daughter of the Suzuki family, she was instilled with the concept of "family first" from a young age.

She enjoys a life of luxury that most people can only dream of, so she is naturally aware of the price that comes with this privilege.

“I do.” Ayako took a deep breath and nodded solemnly. “I am a daughter of the Suzuki family, and this is my responsibility.”

Tomoko Suzuki smiled with satisfaction, stood up and walked to her daughter, gently stroking her long hair: "As expected of my daughter, she has already made such a decision, and she has not disappointed me!"

She paused, then her tone suddenly became meaningful: "Then, tonight, you can go to Shiraishi-kun's room."

"...Huh?" Ayako looked up abruptly, her fair cheeks instantly flushing red. "I...I'll go?"

She felt that happiness had come somewhat suddenly, and for a moment she couldn't accept it. Was she dreaming?
Tomoko Suzuki nodded, her gaze firm: "I know you might be a little resistant, but for the future of the family, this is a necessary sacrifice."

Ayako's heart suddenly raced, and her ears burned. She desperately wanted to tell her mother—she wasn't opposed at all!
She actually quite liked this arrangement!

“Shiraishi-kun is an outstanding young man,” Suzuki Tomoko continued, her tone as if she were assessing a valuable commodity. “He is good-looking, intelligent, and skilled; his genes must be excellent.”

"Furthermore, since his parents have passed away, if he can become a member of the Suzuki family, the next generation of heirs will surely be even more outstanding."

Ayako suppressed her inner excitement and lowered her head with feigned modesty: "But... what about Sonoko..."

“I’ll handle Sonoko’s situation!” Tomoko Suzuki interrupted her, her tone leaving no room for argument. “You just need to focus on tonight’s mission.”

As she spoke, she took a small glass bottle from the drawer of the dressing table and placed it in Ayako's hand.

Ayako looked down and almost cried out in surprise—it was a bottle of aphrodisiac!

"Mom?!" She stared wide-eyed, unable to believe that her mother would prepare such a thing.

Tomoko Suzuki remained unfazed: "To ensure that nothing goes wrong."

She patted her daughter on the shoulder, her tone leaving no room for argument, "Remember, you need to be more proactive."

Ayako's fingers trembled slightly, a mixture of shame and excitement in her voice. She took a deep breath, gripped the medicine bottle tightly, and nodded solemnly: "I understand."

Tomoko Suzuki smiled with satisfaction: "Go, don't disappoint me... for the glory of the Suzuki family!"

Ayako turned and left the room, the corridor lights casting long shadows of her.

Her heart was pounding so hard it felt like it would burst out of her chest, and her mind was already racing, imagining everything that might happen tonight!
