I'm in Conan, I'm not a gangster

Chapter 580 Cry for Help

Chapter 580 Cry for Help (2th Update)
In the early morning mist, at Gas Station No. 7 on the outskirts of Tokyo, Yusaku Kudo's black sedan slowly pulled up beside the pump. As soon as he turned off the engine, three men in black suits emerged from the shadows and silently surrounded the vehicle.

"Mr. Kudo." The man in the lead knocked on the car window, his tone both wary and polite: "Please transfer."

Yusaku calmly got out of the car and handed over the briefcase containing the documents and the huddled Tokugawa Masahiko in the back seat to him.

The men in black began their search with practiced ease, their white-gloved fingers carefully examining Yusaku's collar, cuffs, and even the soles of his shoes to ensure there were no tracking devices.

"Just routine." The man in black handed over a black eye mask. "Please understand."

Once the blindfold completely blocked his vision, Yusaku was guided to sit in a specially bulletproof van.

He could feel the vehicle traveling on the winding mountain road, sometimes making sharp turns, sometimes suddenly changing speed—clearly deliberately trying to confuse his sense of direction.

Thirty minutes later, the vehicle stopped.

Yusaku was led into a room filled with the smell of disinfectant. The moment his blindfold was removed, the blinding white light made him squint slightly.

"Martini, you did a great job!"

A hoarse, electronically synthesized voice came from ahead.

After Yusaku's eyes adjusted to the light, he saw the BOSS sitting in a wheelchair, his cloudy eyes fixed on Tokugawa Masahiko, who was being pressed against the testing table.

"Tell me more details." The BOSS tapped the armrest of his wheelchair with his mechanical fingers.

Yusaku pushed up his glasses, the lenses reflecting a cold light: "A week ago, while investigating a gambling ship, I discovered unusual fund flows. Following the clues, I found Warehouse No. 12 in Yokohama, which contained a simple but fully functional laboratory."

He pointed to Tokugawa: "He was locked in the incubation chamber and has become like this."

The boss's breathing quickened noticeably, and his withered fingers trembled as he stroked Tokugawa's cheek: "Perfect. Too perfect."

“I have sealed off all the equipment in the lab,” Yusaku added. “Now we’re just waiting for you, Boss, to send someone to take over.”

“You did a great job.” The BOSS suddenly turned to Yusaku, his electronic voice unusually tinged with praise: “If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have known that Rum had been secretly keeping the experiment from me and had already taken it to this extent.”

He was furious at Rum's betrayal!

They've gotten the experiment to this point and haven't even told me!
Yusaku cautioned, "There is currently no direct evidence pointing to Rum."

"He's not that stupid, of course he wouldn't leave any evidence!" the BOSS said coldly. "But it's alright, I'll handle it. Kudo, you must be very curious about what happened?"

Yusaku perfectly displayed a scientist's thirst for knowledge: "Yes, Boss. Reverse human aging. This violates all the laws of biology. This... how exactly is this happening?"

“APTX4869,” the BOSS suddenly said, a fanatical light flashing in his cloudy eyes. “I’ve been researching this project for half a century! If I succeed, I can regain my youth!”

Yusaku took a half-step back in shock, his eyes behind his glasses widening slightly: "This...this is unbelievable."

“We’ve finally made a breakthrough.” The BOSS stared greedily at Tokugawa. “There’s nothing else, you can go back now. I’ll remember this achievement.”

Yuzaku bowed slightly: "I still need to deal with an assassin who tried to kill me, so I'll take my leave now."

After receiving approval, he put his blindfold back on.

As he left the room, the last thing he heard was the BOSS's maniacal laughter.

When Pu Siqinglan dragged her tired body back to the hotel, the clock on the wall had just passed midnight.

She had just swiped her key card to room 2307 when the hairs on the back of her neck suddenly stood on end—the strand of hair she had carefully placed in the door crack that morning was gone.

Someone has come in!
Her keen intuition made her body react before her brain—she rolled to the side and hid behind the sofa.

"Bang bang bang!" Three bullets grazed her gray hair and entered the corridor wall.

In the darkness, three men in black appeared from different parts of the suite, their silenced pistols spitting fire.

"boom!"

The bullet grazed her face and entered the wall, sending splinters flying.

Pu Siqinglan's pupils suddenly contracted as she made out three armed men in black in the darkness. "People from the organization." She gritted her teeth, drew her Glock 17, and with a leap, smashed through the French windows, the shards of glass refracting light in the air.

Taking advantage of the brief moment of light and shadow, she fired three shots.

"Ugh!" A man in black was shot between the eyebrows and fell down.

The gunfight broke out in the cramped hotel room.

Pu Siqinglan rolled behind the sofa and, using the furniture as cover, accurately knocked down the second assassin. However, she felt a sharp pain in her left shoulder and right leg at the same time—she had been shot.

"Damn it!" She gritted her teeth and decisively retaliated, taking down another person!
At this moment, cold sweat soaked his back.

Blood gushed from the wound, staining the carpet red.

Pu Siqinglan finally realized that she had become a victim of the power struggle within the Black Organization.

This greatly annoyed her; she should have known better than to get involved in the Black Organization's internal strife.

Now look what's happened, he's gotten himself into trouble!

After simply bandaging her wound with a torn sheet, Pu Siqinglan kicked open the bathroom window and slid down the drainpipe to the ground floor.

More men in black are gathering on the streets.

"I must find refuge!!" She realized she was being watched, and if she couldn't find a backer, she was definitely going to die here!
She ran while looking through the information about Shiraishi E stored on her phone.

A bullet suddenly grazed her cheek, and she retaliated by shooting the pursuer dead.

When she saw Shiraishi E's contact information, her fingers trembled from blood loss.

The first call went unanswered, but then footsteps sounded behind me.

"Answer the phone!" she dialed again in the street fighting, this time being shot in the abdomen again.

Just when she was about to despair, the call finally went through.

"Help me!" her voice was distorted with pain. "Someone is chasing me!"

On the other end of the phone, Shiraishi E's voice was frighteningly calm: "Who have you offended this time?"

"Yusaku Kudo." She leaned against the trash can, changing her magazine. "Didn't I take the job to assassinate you and him last time? Now he's sending someone to kill me!"

"What's in it for me to save you?" Shiraishi E asked on the other end of the phone.

"My life is yours!" Another bullet shattered the glass beside her, and she practically shouted, "From now on, I'll obey your every command!"

There was silence on the other end of the phone for a few seconds.

"Wait."

"Wait? If I wait any longer, I'll be a corpse!" Before the words were even finished, the pursuers were already closing in.

Pu Siqinglan closed her eyes in despair, preparing for one last desperate attempt.

However, something strange happened.

The leader of the men in black suddenly pressed his earpiece, then waved to signal a retreat.

In the blink of an eye, all the assassins retreated like the tide, leaving behind only spent bullet casings and bloodstains.

Pu Siqinglan collapsed to the ground, panting heavily.

A faint voice came from the phone: "Now, you owe me a life."

As she watched the man in black disappear into the distance, she felt a genuine fear of this young man for the first time—the fact that a single phone call could cause the organization's elite assassins to evacuate was simply unfathomable.
