Chapter 586 I Planted a Bomb at the Door

Chapter 586 I Planted a Bomb at the Door (2 Updates)
At the Osaka pier, a gentle sea breeze caressed the shore. Sonoko excitedly pulled Kazuha's hand and ran ahead, her chestnut-brown short hair fluttering in the wind.

"Look! This is my family's 'Gem of the Ocean'!" Sonoko proudly introduced, pointing to the ten-story-high white cruise ship. "There's an outdoor swimming pool on the top floor, a Michelin-starred restaurant on the seventh floor, and a casino on the basement level!"

Kazuha looked up at the enormous vessel and muttered to herself, "Flying should be faster than taking a cruise ship, right?"

"Almost there, almost there!" Sonoko waved her hand and put her arm around Kazuha's shoulder. "It's only a few hours away! The plane is so crowded, it's not even comfortable to lie down."

"Look how amazing this cruise ship is! When you're tired, you can go to the spa; when you're sleepy, you can drink champagne; and when you're bored, you can play bowling or go swimming!!"

"Isn't that much better than sitting on a plane for an hour?"

Kazuha thought it made sense and enthusiastically followed Sonoko onto the boat.

Natsumi Kosaka, who was walking behind, blinked and turned to E Shiraishi with a puzzled look: "It only takes an hour to fly from Osaka to Yokosuka, but at least 15 hours by boat. Does that count as 'a few hours' difference?"

Shiraishi E couldn't help but chuckle: "She's trying to trick Kazuha into joining the crew!"

"Hahaha!" Gan Jiang laughed, stroking his chin. "Miss Suzuki is truly a wonderful person!"

Han Chuanlong took a picture with his camera and said meaningfully, "A white lie is still a lie after all."

Sileo glanced at his watch impatiently: "This is ridiculous! Something that could be done in an hour is being wasted on a whole day!"

Shiraishi E ignored the complaints of the three extras and climbed the gangway.

After boarding the ship, Sonoko solemnly locked the "memory Easter egg" in the safe in her suite.

Shiraishi E leaned against the door, smiling as she reminded the others, "Friendly reminder, don't trespass. I've placed a few trigger-activated bombs around the door; 'BOOM!' if you open it—"

"Hahaha!" Gan Jiang burst out laughing: "Young people these days really know how to joke!"

Han Chuanlong feigned agreement: "This kind of humor is perfect for making documentaries."

Sileu laughed heartily, thoroughly enjoying the humor: "Why don't you say you're carrying an atomic bomb? That would be even more intimidating!"

The three, including Kazuha and Natsumi Kosaka, all thought Emi Shiraishi was joking.

Only Pu Siqinglan and Yuanzi exchanged a glance—they both knew very well that the other was not joking!

"Alright, alright!" Sonoko grabbed Natsumi Kosaka and pulled Kazuha with her other hand: "Natsumi-san, aren't you a pastry chef? Can you teach me and Kazuha how to make some delicious desserts? I really want to learn French desserts!"

Natsumi Kosaka readily agreed: "Sure, I have plenty of time!"

Pu Siqinglan gave an elegant bow: "I'll go to the restaurant to study that parchment!"

Although she dared not have any other thoughts about the Easter eggs, she was still very interested in things from the Romanov dynasty.

"Then I'll go with Sonoko to join in the fun!" Shiraishi E lazily raised her hand.

The trio of Gan Jiang and his companions said they wanted to go back to their rooms to rest. Siluofu muttered "wasting time," Hanchuanlong said he needed to organize the filming footage, and Gan Jiang claimed he wanted to get some sleep, as he hadn't slept well the night before.

........................

In the cruise ship's Western restaurant, bright lights shone on a long table covered with a snow-white tablecloth, where Natsumi Kosaka was carefully instructing three people on how to make French desserts.

"The egg whites need to be whipped to this consistency." Natsumi Kosaka demonstrated to everyone, gently lifting the whisk until the meringue formed beautiful little peaks.

Sonoko and Kazuha frantically tried to imitate, while Shiraishi E elegantly controlled the mixer, her movements as precise as a professional pastry chef.

Two hours later, the four of them were presented with a variety of desserts. Natsumi Kosaka, wearing white gloves, tasted them one by one like a professional judge.

“Ms. Sonoko’s macarons are beautiful, but the filling is too sweet,” she commented gently. “Ms. Kazuha’s mousse has a delicate texture, but the chocolate tempering isn’t quite right.” Finally, she tasted Emi Shiraishi’s Mont Blanc and her eyes lit up: “Perfect! The chestnut puree is just the right amount of sweetness, the cream is whipped to perfection, and the meringue is impeccably crisp!”

"What?!" Sonoko's eyes widened in disbelief. "This is impossible! Natsumi-san, you wouldn't be attracted to him just because he's handsome, would you?"

Kazuha also protested, pouting, "Exactly! It's clearly his first time doing this!"

Natsumi Kosaka smiled and shook her head: "If you don't believe me, try it yourselves."

Sonoko angrily scooped up a spoonful and put it in her mouth, then her expression froze. Seeing this, Kazuha also took a bite, and her eyes widened instantly.

"This is not scientific!" Sonoko wailed. "How can she be so good at making desserts!"

Shiraishi E slowly wiped her hands, a smug smile on her lips: "There's nothing I can do, talented people learn everything quickly."

Just as Sonoko was about to strangle him, a deafening explosion suddenly resounded throughout the entire cruise ship!
The chandelier swayed violently, and the tableware clattered.

"What's going on?! Did a ship collide? Is this going to be a Titanic movie?" Kazuha had a vivid imagination and scared herself so much that she almost knocked over the teacup in front of her.

Shiraishi E smiled and said, "It seems someone disobeyed and sneaked into Sonoko's room, then triggered the bomb in the room."

Upon hearing this, Sonoko exclaimed in surprise, "Oh no, my memory Easter egg!"

The four rushed out of the restaurant and encountered Pu Siqinglan, who had also come after hearing the commotion, in the corridor.

When they arrived at the suite in the garden, the scene before them was horrifying.

Gan Jiang fell into a pool of blood, his expensive suit torn to shreds, and his right hand was missing from the elbow down.

He groaned in pain, his face ashen.

"She's still alive?" Shiraishi E raised an eyebrow, her tone as calm as if she were discussing the weather. "She reacted pretty quickly. She must have realized something was wrong when she opened the door and backed away."

"Otherwise, it would be broken in two by now."

"Sigh, why won't they listen to warnings?"

Kazuha gasped, pointing a trembling finger at Shiraishi E: "You...you really planted a bomb?! I thought you were joking!"

Shiraishi E shrugged: "I'm not one to joke around."

At this moment, Hanchuanlong and Xiluofu also arrived at the scene.

Upon seeing this, Han Chuanlong nearly dropped his camera, and Sireuf's face instantly turned ashen.

“This is…” Sireuf stammered, unable to utter a complete sentence.

Han Chuanlong's voice trembled: "You...you really planted a bomb? That's a crime!!"

Hearing this, Shiraishi E smiled and said, "Isn't stealing a crime? Especially stealing a treasure worth 800 million yen!"

Upon hearing this, Han Chuanlong immediately fell silent. He quickly realized what was happening and took out his camera to snap photos of the scene.

Sonoko took out her phone and asked the ship's doctor to bring a first-aid kit to treat her. Then she jumped over the bloodstains and went into the room to check on the situation.

She breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that the safe had not been opened.
