Chapter 638 Trouble (2nd update)
As dusk settled in Tokyo's Ginza district, the red carpet at the movie theater was packed with reporters and movie fans. Shiraishi E, Ran, and Sonoko made their way through the crowd to the premiere of "The Dark Baron."

On the huge movie poster, Yukiko Kudo, who plays the female lead, is wearing a black dress with a mysterious and alluring look in her eyes.

"Wow! There are so many people!" Sonoko looked around excitedly. "It seems that Aunt Yukiko is still very popular!"

Xiaolan nervously adjusted her skirt: "Where should we sit? I heard there will be a lot of celebrities at the premiere."

Shiraishi glanced at the ticket stub: "Third row, middle, a good view."

The three found their seats and sat down, as the lights in the screening room gradually dimmed. Yukiko Kudo, dressed in a silver evening gown, walked onto the stage, still radiant under the spotlight.

"Thank you all for coming today." Yukiko greeted everyone with a smile, her voice carrying throughout the screening room through the microphone. "This is my directorial debut, and while I've faced many difficulties, I've also received a lot of help."

Just as she was getting emotional, a reporter wearing black-rimmed glasses suddenly stood up from the audience: "Director Yukiko! I'm Yamamoto, a reporter from 'Tokyo Weekly.' I heard that during filming, you used thugs to threaten the crew members. Is that true?"

The whole place was in an uproar.

Yukiko's smile froze for a moment, but she quickly recovered: "That's completely a rumor. If it were true, the police would have invited me in for questioning long ago, wouldn't they?"

Reporter Yamamoto persisted: "Then how do you explain the 'accidents' that happened to several crew members during filming? Lighting technician Mr. Tanaka broke his leg, and art director Ms. Kobayashi's home caught fire."

“Mr. Yamamoto,” Yukiko interrupted him, her tone still gentle but carrying an undeniable authority, “It’s time for the screening. If you have any questions, please ask them after the movie, okay?”

She bowed gracefully as she stepped off the stage, but as she turned away, Shiraishi E keenly noticed her clenched fist.

When Yukiko returned to her seat in the front row, she maintained a polite smile on her face, but in her heart she was already cursing.

She never expected that someone would try to pull a dirty trick at the premiere!
"That reporter was definitely looking for trouble!" Xiaolan said angrily in a low voice, "He deliberately caused trouble at the premiere."

Sonoko nodded in agreement: "This is typical media violence. They attract attention with sensational accusations first, and even if they are later proven false, the negative impact has already been caused."

"I hope the movie will be shown smoothly," Xiaolan said worriedly, looking at the whispering audience around her.

"I'm afraid it's not that simple." Sonoko lowered her voice. "I think they came prepared, and they might pull some tricks during the screening later."

Just then, Shiraishi E's voice came from the side: "Don't worry, the movie will definitely be shown smoothly."

Ran and Sonoko exchanged a glance and immediately understood what he meant. Normally, they might have tried to dissuade him from this "violence begets violence" approach, but at this moment, they both nodded in unison: "Then we'll leave it to you! Make sure Aunt Yukiko's movie is released smoothly!"

Shiraishi E quietly got up, crossed her seat, and came to the reporter's side.

He lowered his voice, speaking in a volume only the other person could hear, and said, "Mr. Yamamoto, right? I have some important news to tell you privately about Yukiko."

Reporter Yamamoto's eyes lit up, but he feigned modesty: "Who are you?"

“Someone who knows the inside story,” Shiraishi E said mysteriously in a low voice, “like why she divorced Kudo Yusaku, and her mysterious little lover.”

These words struck Yamamoto squarely. He immediately stood up: "Let's talk outside."

The two walked out of the screening room one after the other.

At the corner of the corridor, Shiraishi E suddenly stopped: "This place isn't very convenient. I know a quiet café nearby."

"No need for all that trouble!" Yamamoto said urgently. "We can talk in the fire escape. What's the news?"

Shiraishi E looked troubled: "But... there are too many people here, and..." He deliberately hesitated.

Yamamoto took the bait and suggested, "How about we go to the underground parking lot? My car is down there."

--------

Upon arriving at the empty parking lot, Yamamoto couldn't wait any longer: "Now you can tell me, right? Who exactly is that little lover?"

Shiraishi E leaned against a pillar and suddenly laughed: "Actually, her little lover is me!" "You? You're her only student?" Yamamoto's expression changed, and he realized what was happening: "You're playing me?"

“It’s not just about playing you.” Shiraishi E’s voice was flat and indifferent. “I also need to deal with you, this trouble, before it happens.”

He didn't want to waste too much time on such trivial matters.

So that he wouldn't miss out on a great story.

So, Shiraishi E pulled out a pistol, attached a silencer, and said, "You still have a chance to confess before I fire!"

"Hahaha! You think you can scare me with that beat-up pistol?" Yamamoto laughed loudly. "I've been in this line of work for ages, I've seen it all—ahhh!!"

Before he could finish speaking, his left knee was already smashed by Shiraishi E's gun.

"Oh, is that so?" Shiraishi said with a mocking expression, "Then I'd like to see just how fierce the storms you've weathered really are."

As he spoke, he was about to smash the other man's other knee.

Yamamoto immediately cried out in despair, "Stop hitting me! Stop hitting me! I'll talk, I'll talk! I'll tell you everything!!"

Shiraishi E remained unmoved, coldly piercing through the other person's other knee, and sneered, "Knowing full well that Ms. Yukiko has evil forces backing her, you still dare to resort to such petty tricks?"

Should I praise your courage, or say you have no brains?

"I...I thought it was fake!" Yamamoto, in pain and filled with fear, repeatedly said, "If I had known it was real, how could I have dared to mess with her!"

Then, he spilled the beans, telling everyone how he had accepted bribes and smeared Yukiko.

"That's all? Nothing more?" Shiraishi E reminded him, "You only have one chance... if I find out you dared to lie to me."

"Really, I'm not lying to you!" Yamamoto quickly pulled out a voice recorder and said, "I... I secretly recorded everything!!"

"You're smart." Shiraishi E took the recorder and nodded in satisfaction.

He then turned and left without saying a word.

Despite the pain and trembling, Yamamoto quickly called an ambulance.

When questioned by the police, he only said that a man in black shot and broke his knee, but he insisted that he did not know what the man looked like!

He understood that a guy like that, who always carried a gun, was obviously a ruthless person!
--------------

When Shiraishi returned to the screening room, a breathtaking close-up shot of Kudo Yukiko was playing on the screen. The audience was completely captivated by the story and had long forgotten the little incident that had just occurred.

Ran and Sonoko both looked at her questioningly, and Shiraishi gave her an "OK" sign.

Midway through, Yukiko made a special trip to the back row and said, "Thank you."

Although she didn't know exactly what had happened, she understood when she saw Shiraishi E return alone.

Sonoko said with a grin, "Aunt Yukiko's movies are so wonderful, how can we let little kids cause trouble!"

After the screening, the entire audience stood up and applauded.

Yukiko felt incredibly satisfied watching the audience's reactions!

On the way back, Xiaolan couldn't help but ask, "Shiraishi-kun, how exactly did you get that reporter to leave?"

Shiraishi E blinked mysteriously: "It was just a 'friendly' exchange with him."
