Chapter 682 I Have an Older Sister

Chapter 682 I Have an Older Sister (1st Update)
Shiraishi E drove the three, each with their own thoughts, back to the Miyano family villa.

The atmosphere inside the car was somewhat silent. Akemi and Ai would occasionally steal glances at their "girl" mother, who was sitting unusually quiet in the passenger seat.

Back in the living room, Elena Miyano poured herself a glass of water and gulped it down several times, as if trying to suppress the turmoil in her heart and the slight tremor after taking action.

She put down her water glass, took a deep breath, and as if she had made up her mind, turned to face her two daughters and Shiraishi E.

Her eyes no longer held the complete timidity they once did, but instead held a hint of complexity and honesty.

“Okay…” she said softly, breaking the silence: “I… I admit, I wasn’t entirely telling the truth before.”

Akemi and Ai immediately held their breath and watched her nervously.

“However, I’m not lying to you. I’m just an international student,” Elena Miyano continued, her fingers unconsciously twisting together. “But… the reason I was able to perform like that just now… is entirely because… because of my sister.”

"elder sister?!"

"Mom, you have an older sister?!"

Mingmei and Xiaoyi exclaimed in unison, their faces filled with disbelief.

From childhood to adulthood, they had never heard their mother mention that they had a sister!
Elena Miyano nodded firmly, her expression tinged with bitterness, and recalled, "Yes... I have an older sister... her name is Sera Mary."

She paused, seemingly considering her words, before finally confessing, "Her identity... is rather special. She is... an agent of MI6."

"MI6?!" This name shocked Akemi and Ai once again. They never expected that their aunt's identity was truly extraordinary.

“My sister… she’s always had a very strong personality, and she’s been rigorously trained.” Elena Miyano’s voice lowered, carrying a hint of barely perceptible fear: “She always thought I was too weak, too introverted, and easily bullied… so, starting from my teens, she forced me to learn all sorts of fighting techniques, ostensibly for self-defense…”

Her eyes reddened slightly, as if she had returned to that unbearable time: "I...I really don't want to study at all...I just want to read books and listen to music quietly...but she won't listen to me at all."

“If I didn’t study, or if I didn’t study well, she would really hit me… I would be covered in bruises… Back then… my body would ache so much after training every day… I would secretly cry at night.”

As she spoke, tears of grievance and pain finally streamed down her face.

That period of adolescence, dominated by her domineering older sister, clearly left her with deep psychological trauma.

When Akemi and Ai saw that Elena Miyano cried just from reminiscing, they were shocked and gained some understanding of the domineering nature of their aunt whom they had never met!

The two quickly pulled out tissues and handed them to her, gently patting her back on both sides to comfort her.

Elena Miyano took the tissue, wiped her tears, and whispered her thanks.

She calmed herself down before continuing, "Later... it was only under my sister's coercion that I barely managed to learn a self-defense technique."

She looked up at her two daughters: "So... so right after graduating high school, I secretly applied for a study abroad program at the University of Tokyo, and then... I practically sneaked here... I wanted to be far away from her, to live the peaceful life I wanted..."

Akemi and Ai were completely stunned after hearing their mother's confession.

They looked at each other, momentarily at a loss for words.

They never imagined that behind their mother's agile skills lay such a stressful and fearful experience.

And that aunt, whom I've never met and who sounds terrifying, actually took such extreme measures in order to protect her younger sister.

Shiraishi Ei, who was standing to the side, was both amused and exasperated, and scratched her head.

He had previously thought that Elena Miyano's professional and efficient skills might also make her a member of MI6, or even someone who had been ordered to infiltrate the organization... He had imagined a whole drama unfolding before his eyes.

Now it seems he was just overthinking things; the actual situation was quite dramatic.

After listening to her mother's account of the agent aunt, Sera Mary, Akemi hesitated for a moment, but couldn't help but softly suggest, "Um... Mom... since you mentioned Aunt Mary... should we... try to contact her?"

"At least tell her you're still alive? She'll be so happy to know!"

When Elena Miyano heard that she should contact her older sister, Sera Mari, her expression changed instantly. She instinctively looked scared and shook her head repeatedly, her voice trembling with fear: "No...no need, right? Or...or rather, don't bother my sister...she's very busy."

Seeing this, Ai could understand how Elena Shirano felt.

In Miyano Elena's current understanding, she had only been separated from her strict and terrifying older sister for a few months, and the fear rooted in her heart was still vivid and intense.

She calmly began to analyze, trying to persuade Elena Miyano from another perspective: "Mom, I understand your fear. But in your mind, it's just that you haven't seen Aunt Mary for a few months."

“But from your aunt’s perspective, you’ve lost contact for over twenty years! She might even have thought you were… no longer alive.”

"For the past twenty years, she may have lived in guilt and self-blame."

Akemi nodded repeatedly in agreement, her tone full of sympathy: "Yes, Mom! Your aunt must have been so worried about you after more than twenty years without any news! She's your own sister after all." Hearing her two daughters' words, Miyano Elena's face showed a struggle and hesitation.

Although she was deeply afraid of her sister Mary's strong and strict style, the bond of blood was unbreakable.

She actually loved her only sister very much as well.

When she chose to leave London and study in Japan, besides fear, she didn't want to become a weakness or burden for her sister's work in MI6.

Thinking that her sister might have worried about her for over twenty years, Elena Miyano softened.

She took a deep breath, as if summoning all her courage, and finally nodded. Her voice was still trembling slightly, but much more determined: "Um...okay...fine...then...I'll call my sister..."

Seeing this, Shiraishi Hui bought an encrypted satellite phone from the bandit shop and handed it to her, asking, "Do you remember her phone number?"

Elena Miyano took the heavy satellite phone and nodded very seriously: "I remember... my sister's number... it's an internal line, I've always remembered it."

That was the emergency contact information Mary left for her.

She skillfully typed in a long international number on her phone, then nervously pressed the dial button.

The phone kept ringing with a "beep...beep..." sound, each tone striking her heart.

The call was quickly connected, but there was complete silence on the other end—Mary's habit when answering unknown calls was to remain silent and wary.

Elena Miyano was well aware of her sister's habit, and she cautiously asked in a slightly trembling voice, "Sister...sister? Is...is that you? Can you hear me?"

On the other end of the phone, Sera Mary, whose body had shrunk due to taking APTX4869, shuddered violently when she heard that incredibly familiar yet impossible voice!
She remained silent for several seconds, her eyes instantly turning sharp and cold, filled with a cautious chill, as she lowered her voice and asked coldly, "Who... are you?"

Hearing her sister's cold and wary tone, Elena Miyano became even more frightened, but she still mustered her courage and said in a weak, aggrieved voice, "It's...it's me...Elena...Sister, didn't you recognize my voice?"

Mary, on the other end of the phone, after confirming that the voice sounded exactly like her sister from her memory, did not show any surprise on her face. Instead, she revealed an extremely angry and cruel sneer!
She investigated thoroughly!

Her younger sister, Elena Miyano, had long since died in a "laboratory accident" meticulously planned by the Black Organization!
This is an undeniable fact!

Then there's only one answer—the voice on the other end of the phone is definitely an imposter!
'It's that Vermouth woman again!!' Mary felt a surge of rage.

'First she disguised herself as Wu Wu to fool me... and now she's using the same trick again, impersonating Elena to deceive me?!'

'Do they really think I'm a fool they can easily fool?!'

Mary clenched her fists so tightly that her nails almost dug into her palms, suppressing the urge to immediately pierce through the other person.

She decided to play along and pretend that she had been tricked.

She immediately exclaimed in a tone that was a mixture of surprise, excitement, and reproach, "Ah...! Elena!! Is it really you?! You brat! Where have you been all these years?!"

"Over twenty years! Not a single phone call or letter!! Do you know how worried I was?! I thought you..."

Her acting was superb; the blame and worry in her tone sounded incredibly real, enough to fool anyone.

Hearing her sister's "familiar" reproachful tone, Miyano Elena breathed a sigh of relief and explained apologetically, "Well... Sister... a lot of unexpected things happened... it's really hard to explain in just a few words over the phone... Um... are you... free these days?"

Mary on the other end of the phone sneered inwardly again: 'Just as I thought! They've started asking me out! Are they trying to set a trap and catch me? Fine! I'll see what tricks they have up their sleeves!'

She immediately replied without hesitation, "Yes!! Of course! Nothing is more important than you!"

Elena Miyano asked cautiously in a pleading tone, "Then... could you please come to Tokyo? We... can meet and talk?"

Mary pretended to ponder for a moment, then said in a decisive, almost impatient tone, "Okay! You wait! I'll book the fastest flight right now... no! I'll have my friend arrange his private jet, and I'll fly to Tokyo immediately!!"

"How about we meet at Mihana Park at 11 a.m. tomorrow?"

How could Elena Miyano dare to disagree with her sister's arrangement? She nodded repeatedly in agreement: "Yes! Okay! Okay, sister! Then let's meet at Beika Park at 11 a.m. tomorrow!"

After hanging up the phone, Elena Miyano let out a long sigh of relief as if she had just won a major battle, with fine beads of sweat even appearing on her forehead.

She turned around and gave the three anxiously waiting people a relieved smile: "Great! It worked! My sister agreed to meet! She said to meet at Mihana Park at 11 a.m. tomorrow, and she'll come by private jet!"

Upon hearing this news, both Akemi and Ai felt a surge of excitement and a complex, indescribable emotion.

What excites me is that I'm finally going to meet this legendary aunt with a special status;
The complicated part is that they don't know how to face this aunt.
