Chapter 12: My world will only be better

Chapter 12: My world will only be better
"Too slow, Roger!" came the voice of Boss Ai Bo.

"Sorry, things are a little more troublesome than I thought." Roger said apologetically.

Today is the first day of school at Hogwarts. Since Roger is going to Hogwarts, he naturally needs to deal with the books in his room. That is a room in the tavern, not Roger's library.

After checking out, Roger had to clear out all the books.

These are important books that record the evolution path of magic in almost the entire wizarding civilization. They were lent to Roger by Professor McGonagall, not given to him, so Roger's way of dealing with them was very simple.

Except for a few books that I haven't read yet and are very worth revisiting and reading repeatedly, I can just mail all the others back to Professor McGonagall.

Roger thought this was a simple process, but he didn't expect that mailing in the wizarding world would be more troublesome than he imagined, which took him 20 minutes longer to fill out the information required by the post office.

...Although Roger himself also bought a pet owl, in order to ensure that the pet can accompany the wizard for a long time, the pets sold to first-year wizards are basically teenagers, rather than mature birds of prey that can mail dozens of books.

It would actually be possible to make a dozen or so trips back and forth, but Roger couldn't bear to torture his magical pet like that.

Since I bought it, it is one of my family members. There is no need to torture it over such a small matter.

"Sorry to have kept me waiting." Roger said as he walked out of the post office and sat in the back seat of the car.

"Is there anything else? It will be too late if we delay any further." Boss Ai Bo said.

Roger shook his head and said, "No more."

"What about you, Hannah?" As Boss Ai Bo said this, his eyes couldn't help but turn to the girl with pink face and blonde hair beside him.

The girl's name is Hannah Abbott, a family member of Tom Abbott's boss. She is also 11 years old this year and is also a little wizard who is about to go to school.

The boss thought that he had to send the children away anyway, whether it was one or two, so he took Roger along as well.

"Me neither," replied Hannah, who was sitting in the passenger seat.

After getting the answer, Boss Aibo stepped on the accelerator and drove towards King's Cross Station, where Platform Nine and Three Quarters was.

While the vehicle was moving, the idle boss Ai Bo sometimes chatted with Hannah and sometimes said a few words to Roger, but there was almost no conversation between Hannah and Roger.

It’s not that there is any conflict between the two of them. In fact, their relationship is quite harmonious. It’s just that they have no interest in each other.

To Roger, Hannah was just a child, mentally immature and with no interest in magic. He and her really had nothing in common.

Instead of spending that time coaxing the child, it would be better to read a few more magic books, which will be more important for your own growth.

Hannah was originally somewhat interested in Roger. After all, the guests in the bar all liked to brag after drinking a few glasses of wine, and there were basically only two topics they were discussing recently.

One is the legendary savior Harry Potter who will enter school this year, and the other is the legendary prophet Roger Virgil who is also a freshman.

In the mouths of drinkers, these two are always praised as miraculous.

Especially some older drinkers, they always associate these two children with the two figures who were above all others in their time... After all, there are still many similarities, aren't there?

But after Hannah had more contact with Roger, she found that there seemed to be nothing special about Roger. He just read books all day long, like a nerd.

Not the type a little girl would like at all.

Sometimes she would even think to herself: 'Could it be that the savior Harry Potter is also like this? It's completely different from what was rumored?'

Seeing that the two kids had no intention of paying any attention to each other, Boss Ai Bo sighed inwardly.

As a tavern owner who has seen countless people, he can see that Roger, who can focus all his energy on one thing without distraction, will definitely achieve great success in the future even if he is not a prophet.

Plus, he already thought Roger was a nice guy, so he naturally hoped that his children could become friends with him.

The wizarding world has never been a peaceful place. Wherever there are people, there are rivers and lakes and conflicts.

Even though the vast majority of British wizards come from Hogwarts, and strictly speaking are brothers and sisters, there will still be conflicts.

Even the conflicts among the previous generation will extend to the children in school through words and deeds.

In Hogwarts, a closed education place, the fighting and suppression of each other among students never stopped.

Whether in school or in society, it is not a bad thing to have someone big willing to take care of you.

Powerful wizards and pure-blood families who control resources are the real rulers of wizard society. Having a good relationship with powerful wizards can even trigger effects such as "taking a photo with the boss can repel the enemy."

But unfortunately, his wish was in vain, the two of them had no intention of becoming friends at all. Boss Aibo could only hope that Roger would lend a helping hand if Hannah got into trouble at school and he was unable to help her because of his kindness.

"Space teleportation, precise cognitive distortion... Awesome." Pushing a cart full of school uniforms, cauldrons, owl cages and other items across the nine and three-quarters platform of King's Cross Station, Roger murmured softly as he looked at the crimson Hogwarts Express in front of him. Just now at King's Cross Station, a group of little wizards' parents were talking about Muggles, and one by one the little wizards disappeared across the platform, but no ordinary people noticed them. It was outrageous to think about it.

"Is it a regional spell? Once you enter the area, your will will be automatically confused?" Roger thought about the scene he had just seen.

"Roger, it's time to go." The voice from behind interrupted his thoughts.

"We've already been delayed for some time. If you don't get on the bus now, it will be full. You don't want to stand all the way, do you?" Hannah urged.

"Of course not." Roger answered as he walked forward.

The two of them squeezed together towards the crowded platform. The noise of the crowd, the howling of various magical pets, birds and beasts, and the thick smoke from the steam train intertwined together, making them frown as they moved forward.

From time to time, there were even children who had already boarded the train leaning against the windows to say goodbye to their families. All the chaotic noises were really disturbing.

Hannah's worries were right. By the time Roger got on the train, the front car of the train was already completely full.

The same goes for the middle and back rows of the carriage. Although not full, there are basically people in the carriage, and there is no completely empty carriage.

"It seems I have to share a seat with others." Just when Roger had this thought.

Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a toad clinging to the door of a carriage.

After searching for a while and seeing no response from the closed door, it turned its head and looked at Roger who was approaching with lifeless eyes.

Then he jumped two steps in the other direction.

this is……

When Roger was only two meters away from it.

A young boy's voice that sounded somewhat honest came into his ears.

"Grandma, I lost Leif again!"

The young man leaned against the car window and shouted in a helpless voice with a hint of tears.

"Oh, Neville..." On the platform, the old woman looked helpless as she looked at her grandson's sad face.

bump.

The bolt was pulled open.

"Excuse me, is this the Leifu you are talking about?"

Neville turned around and saw a kind young man with smooth golden hair standing there.

In front of him was a toad that was suspended in the air, kicking its legs and "swimming", looking a little panicked.

"Live!" Neville's eyes widened instantly, with a look of surprise.

Then he took the toad into his arms.

Seeing his look, Roger took the opportunity to say, "Many of the carriages outside are full. Can we piece them together here?"

Compared to going to each carriage later and asking if anyone could enter, and being rejected by those little wizards who had made appointments to enter the same carriage or who preferred a quiet environment and did not want to enter on their own, this opportunity just saved some trouble.

"Of course!" Neville was very enthusiastic and welcoming to the good man who helped him find Leif.

...Roger certainly knew that this lost toad was the opportunity for Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, and Ron Weasley, the three destined to be together, to first meet.

Your own behavior is likely to cause some disturbance to your known future.

But he didn't care about that.

The so-called plot is actually just something that may happen in the next seven years.

The slight flutter of a butterfly's wings can cause a storm thousands of miles away. As long as you exist, you will definitely affect others and cause unknown consequences.

But do I really have to spend energy thinking about how each of my actions might affect the plot?
Thinking about these messy things every day, do you still want to learn magic?
joke.

As a prophet, Roger always believed that nothing was ever destined.

Roger also didn't believe that having his own world would be worse than not having his own world!
In fact, if he was not too weak now and could not withstand the possible backup plans of Voldemort and the revenge of the Death Eaters scattered outside, and if he had not watched the later movies of The Order of the Phoenix and a lot of information was just hearsay from short videos without knowing the details, Roger would have wanted to report all the information about Voldemort's Horcruxes directly to Dumbledore.

Although Roger didn't care much about anything other than his path to eternal life... but at least, he owed Dumbledore a big favor, and he would never let Dumbledore lie in the grave in a few years.

Nor would Dumbledore continue to lose one student after another who loved him, and shed tears.

Wouldn't that make my favor seem cheap?
