Chapter 92 May the World Have Peace

Chapter 92 May the World Have Peace

Muggle courses refer to an elective course in Hogwarts, Muggle Studies.

This course will teach students about Muggles in detail.

For example, how to disguise yourself as a Muggle, what kind of living habits do British Muggles have, etc.

It may sound a bit ridiculous, like some videos on the Internet about 'how to disguise as a human', but considering that many wizards live in a closed wizarding society all their lives, this teaching is actually necessary to avoid accidentally touching upon the International Statute of Secrecy.

In addition to the above, this course will also teach Muggle common sense such as 'What is electricity' and study famous contact events between Muggles and wizards in history.

For example, large-scale attacks on Muggles by dark magic creatures, the various impacts that may arise from love between wizards and Muggles, and so on.

On the surface, it seems like a simple course that a Muggle-born wizard can easily get full marks in, but in fact, it is very valuable.

You know, when Quirrell, the former professor of Muggle Studies, changed his major and became the teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts, he had no relationship with Voldemort.

Under normal circumstances, a course like Defense Against the Dark Arts would not be taught by just anyone. Even Lockhart, who was the most mediocre of teachers, was considered a remarkable figure who had won the Order of Merlin in the eyes of those who did not know the truth before his unexpected failure.

"Muggle Studies is fine, why are you asking this?" Although Muggle Studies is an elective course in the third year, after Roger acquired the absolute memory ability, he had already memorized all the contents of Hogwarts textbooks in the first half of the first year, so he had some understanding of this course.

Dumbledore pointed his finger at the book "The Second Reality" that Roger brought this time.

"Dimensional magic, second reality. If the path you are taking is truly successful, even the most conservative estimate is that wizards and Muggle society will have complete full contact in the next few decades."

"Before the International Statute of Secrecy, wizards roamed among the upper classes of various countries, carrying out activities as court wizards, state masters, and the like. After the signing of the International Statute of Secrecy, wizards severed their ties with Muggles and completely turned to the dark side of the world, leaving only a few channels of communication."

"In this era of great development of Muggle civilization, wizards need to make a lot of preparations if they want to step into the spotlight again."

At this point, Dumbledore paused and said, "I am unable to reach other places, but at least within Hogwarts, I hope that students can be mentally prepared for this."

Then Dumbledore asked Roger what he really wanted to ask: "I plan to adjust the overall teaching direction of Muggle Studies and change it from an elective course to a compulsory course. What do you think?"

As the initiator of this thought and a prophet, Dumbledore felt that it was appropriate to ask Roger this question. Perhaps only Roger could give him the most reference answer.

"Adjust? How do you plan to adjust it?" Roger asked.

Hearing that it was about the future studies and future of all Hogwarts students, and that the matter was caused by himself, Roger also became serious about the issue.

"The original Muggle Studies course was more about teaching wizards how to disguise themselves as Muggles and blend into the environment, and to study everything about Muggles from a magical perspective."

"As well as some superficial studies on the relationship between wizards and Muggles... After it becomes a compulsory course, I plan to add more professional content."

"It's not just about teaching Muggles about their living habits, but also about teaching them the logic behind why they have such habits. It's not just about studying the relationship between Muggles and wizards, but also about studying how wizards interact with Muggles."

In short, it is to take precautions against the integration of wizard society and Muggle society.

Roger thought about it and thought that if he taught these contents according to the possible trajectories in the future, it would be of great help to the students' future development, but...

"Will the board of directors agree to this?" Roger and Dumbledore looked at each other.

As mentioned before, although Dumbledore is the headmaster, strictly speaking, Hogwarts is the property of the Board of Directors, and Dumbledore is just an "executive", whether it is the addition of new teachers or this profound curriculum reform.

Unless one uses wands to reason with others, or a higher authority, the Ministry of Magic, intervenes, it won't work without the approval of the board of directors.

The Hogwarts board of directors is composed of pure-blood families with a long history and powerful wizards with considerable social status.

Will they accept it?

"Remember what I said before, the public opinion storm that is brewing now." Looking at Dumbledore's half-smile, Roger probably guessed Dumbledore's plan.

"Reciprocate?"

"Yes." Dumbledore had a wide range of knowledge, and he understood the meaning of those oriental words that Roger spoke casually.

Some high-ranking officials within the Ministry of Magic wanted to take advantage of the public opinion created by Grindelwald's looting of the Department of Mysteries, and after some guidance, force the Ministry of Magic to carry out judicial reforms.

Change some old things that are no longer suitable for today's era, as well as some regulations that were arbitrarily added by the interest representatives of some pure-blood families in various departments of the Ministry of Magic for their own selfish interests.

and enhance law enforcement efficiency.

Compared with Muggle society, the wizarding society develops more slowly, and there is a lack of motivation for reform. The complex internal structure of the Ministry of Magic also makes normal changes encounter many obstacles. This opportunity is rare.

After noticing this, Dumbledore secretly extended his helping hand to help the event proceed smoothly.

Although Dumbledore's help was the result of his personal considerations, the host of this matter at the Ministry of Magic still has to remember his favor. If Dumbledore is willing to fulfill his favor, then they will help put pressure on the board of directors.

The wizarding world is a flat society with a small population, and the connections between people are relatively close, so this kind of pressure is not difficult to put into practice.

"I see." After getting the answer, Roger fell into a long period of thinking. He turned on the thinking acceleration function of his second brain and calculated the possible future impact of the course change.

Although the original fate could no longer develop in the same way due to Roger's manipulation, it still has certain reference value.

“My opinion is that it can be changed.”

"If possible, it would be better to add some content about ideology, morality and correct cognition." Roger gave his own advice.

Then he explained the reason: "The theory of three dimensions will inevitably make wizards more powerful. Before Muggles also master the second magic on a large scale, wizards' power will be overwhelming."

"Wizards have always had a tendency to discriminate against Muggles. Once their power grows, this opposition will intensify, which could lead to serious consequences."

In Roger's eyes, there is actually no difference between Muggles and wizards. The only difference between wizards and Muggles is whether they can connect with magic. But once the three-dimensional law spreads and the second magic becomes the mainstream, the difference between the two will only become smaller and smaller.

But this cannot be achieved overnight. There will definitely be a difficult integration process in the middle, which is the inevitable pain in the progress of civilization.

Even if there was no Roger and no three-dimensional method, humans would have to go through this step if they wanted to integrate resources and head towards the starry sky.

What Roger wants is to reduce the bloodshed and not leave too many historical scars on future development.

Although there is a saying that "war is the ladder of technological progress."

The hatred and constant fighting between humans may allow Roger to gain more technology.

But as mentioned before, Roger did not like the depressing living environment full of despair and crying, and he had had enough of it in the Middle East.

If you have been through the rain of war, don't let those who live in peace get wet through it too.

If Roger stirs up unrest and causes war behind the scenes for the sake of profit, then isn't that any different from the politicians he hated so much when he was in the Middle East?

"Professor Kerry Di Bubaji's concept of 'equality' is good, but not good enough." Speaking of this, it is inevitable to mention the current professor of the Muggle Studies course.

Roger then explained his views on this issue.
