Looking at the white suit that resembled Tony Stark's, Stephen Fang curled his lip in disgust, making no attempt to hide his disdain: "What would I need a suit for? It just lets me fly and launch missiles. For me, it doesn't provide any enhancement at all."
He crossed his arms, a hint of disdain in his eyes, seemingly scoffing at the so-called high-tech combat suit before him.
Tony Stark, however, remained calm, a mysterious smile on his face, as if he were hiding some surprise. He raised an eyebrow and said, "Try it on, don't jump to conclusions so quickly."
Before Stephen could react, the suit that had been lying quietly on the frame suddenly came to life and began to disintegrate automatically with a "whoosh".
Metal parts, like agile mechanical insects, buzzed as they flew rapidly toward Stephen Fang. In less than two seconds, Stephen Fang was completely enveloped in that dazzling pure white outfit, with only his eyes showing as he stared in astonishment at the strange equipment on his body.
At the same time, Tony Stark quickly summoned his new generation Mark suit, the same automatic equipment, and in the blink of an eye, he transformed into the majestic Iron Man.
Tony Stark adjusted his posture, raised his arm, and the energy cannon in his palm instantly began to charge. Blue light gathered continuously, emitting a low hum, and he aimed it at Stephen Fang's shoulder without hesitation.
With a loud "boom," a powerful beam of energy shot out and slammed straight into Stephen Fang's shoulder.
With a loud bang, a gaping hole was blasted through Stephen Fang's suit on the shoulder, sending metal fragments flying everywhere.
Surprisingly, his shoulder was only slightly red and did not suffer any substantial injury.
Before Stephen Fang could even speak, a miraculous scene unfolded!
The damaged suit began to repair itself rapidly at a speed visible to the naked eye; the metal at the broken parts seemed to come alive, wriggling and fusing quickly.
In less than two seconds, a brand-new suit of armor reappeared on Stephen Fang's body, as if the fierce shot had never happened.
Upon seeing this, Stephen's eyes lit up instantly, and the disdain on his face vanished, replaced by surprise and admiration.
He stretched his shoulders, feeling the perfect fit of the suit to his body. He had to admit that the suit's defensive capabilities were indeed better than not wearing one at all, and under certain conditions, it should be quite effective.
He suppressed his surprise, turned to Tony Stark, and looked at him with a puzzled expression. "Why design this specifically for me? It seems like you need it more, doesn't it? Given your personality, shouldn't you keep such powerful equipment for yourself?"
Tony Stark shook his head helplessly, a wry smile on his face. "Didn't you feel it? This suit is too heavy. With my physical condition, if I were hit in it, I would get a concussion. Only a monster like you with a freakish physique can handle it and unleash its true power."
"Alright then, I'll reluctantly wear it. But I still have to remind you, Tony, the Extremis virus is fine to research, but don't go too far. You can use it on me, but don't use it on yourself."
Tony nodded. "Okay, I got it. Go ahead and do your thing. I need to get back to other things too."
"it is good."
Tony Stark's fingers flew across the holographic keyboard, the blue light of the lab reflecting on his taut face.
Three seconds ago, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s firewall briefly collapsed in the face of his algorithm.
Although it only lasted a few seconds, it was enough for Jarvis to intercept hundreds of gigabytes of encrypted data.
“Filter keywords: Howard Stark, Maria Stark, December 1991,” he commanded in a low voice, a tremor he himself was unaware of.
The documents on the holographic screen scrolled like a waterfall, and suddenly, a set of blurry photos marked "g-1223-kc-b" forcibly popped up.
Tony's pupils suddenly contracted—
It was a twisted black sedan, overturned on the icy side of the road!
The moment the car window shattered was frozen in time: Howard's blood-stained profile in the driver's seat, Maria's limp hand in the passenger seat... and in the corner of the photo, the afterimage of a metal arm was disappearing from the edge of the frame. "Winter Soldier..." Tony stared at the caption below the photo, his throat tightening.
The name was like a rusty knife, scraping cruelly through his memory.
He once thought it was just an ordinary car accident, but now these deliberately sealed images have torn away the lie—super soldiers were involved at the scene of his parents' car accident!
Jarvis's voice came through, "According to the skeletal scan analysis, the metal arm features match Sergeant Bucky Barnes' modified limbs with a 93% match rate."
Jarvis's report made Tony clench his fist and immediately search for the name.
“The Howling Commandos…” Tony’s voice trailed off when he saw the photo of Captain America with this guy.
The air in the laboratory seemed to freeze. Tony's breathing grew heavier and heavier, and the cold light of the holographic projection burned red in his eyes.
Was the death of my parents actually murder?
“Jarvis,” he said, his voice hoarse as he loosened his tie, “prepare your battle suit, and tell Pepper Potts I won’t be home for dinner tonight.”
Inside S.H.I.E.L.D., Captain America is working out his damn muscles.
"One thousand five, one thousand six."
Sweating profusely, he suddenly looked up at the doorway, where stood S.H.I.E.L.D.'s new ally, Falcon.
"Captain, I think you need to take a look at this."
"What's wrong?" Rogers sprang to his feet. "What happened?"
"S.H.I.E.L.D.'s data was stolen, and the stolen content includes these..."
Captain America took the data from Falcon, his eyes suddenly narrowing.
“The Howling Commandos? Bucky.” Steve’s voice was practically squeezed out through clenched teeth. “Bucky, Bucky’s still alive?”
Falcon nodded. "Actually, this information shouldn't have been shown to you, but out of personal friendship..."
Captain America nodded. "Thanks. But right now, the more important thing is that I have to find Bucky before Tony Stark does!"
He patted Falcon on the shoulder. "I need your help."
Sam paused for a second, then answered firmly, "Tell me what to do."
Captain America picked up the communicator. "Before that, I need to find a few more helpers."
After saying that, he spoke into the communicator: "Barton, I need your help."
"What trouble is it now?" Hawkeye's voice came lazily.
Steve took a deep breath. "Stop a civil war between superheroes."
There was a few seconds of silence on the other end of the communicator, followed by Hawkeye's crisp reply: "Coming right away."
