Chapter 271 Qin Siyu, the Humanoid Cheat
In the living room, Qin Siyu was engrossed in watching a brainless TV drama that had already started.

Jiang Hou then remembered something and asked, "Siyu, how are you feeling today?"

Knowing what he was asking, the girl waved her little fist: "I feel great. I've been full of energy all day, and my strength has obviously increased a lot."

"Take this with you and scan to see how much it has improved."

As he spoke, Jiang Hou took out a smart watch belonging to a full-fledged member; it was the detector he had replaced earlier.

With Jiang Hou's help, Qin Siyu quickly logged into the branch's official website as a temporary observer and had basic backend permissions activated.

Qin Siyu curiously fiddled with the black wristwatch on her wrist: "Is this alright, Lord Jiang?"

"Okay, press here to start scanning your body data."

"it is good."

Under Jiang Hou's instructions, Qin Siyu pressed the left button, and then felt a faint, invisible light wave penetrate her wrist and body.

Didi! !
Qin Siyu's data appeared on the watch screen.

'Physical strength 2.9, energy fluctuations without epochal characteristics detected within the body, classifying as a congenital ability user, awakened ability unknown, level cannot be determined.'

"2.9, the effect seems to be good." Jiang Hou smiled.

Before Qin Siyu ate crab roe in the morning, her physical condition was around 2, which was twice that of an average person. Now, before the day was even over, it had almost doubled.

This growth rate is even faster than when Jiang Hou first awakened.

But thinking about it, it makes sense. This is the essence of a seventh-tier ferocious beast, and even a small piece contains a rich and astonishing amount of energy.

Qin Siyu's physical strength is only equivalent to that of a superhuman who has just entered the first tier. It would be strange if such a large amount of supplementary resources did not result in a significant improvement.

It's just uncertain how long it will take for 'resistance' to develop.

If she continues to increase her strength at this rate, and finishes eating all the 'crab roe' he has stored, the girl's physical strength alone will be comparable to the peak of the fourth rank within a year.

It took a year to strengthen his physique to the peak of the fourth tier.

Upon realizing this, Jiang Hou felt that the rate of improvement was too slow and too weak.

"Siyu, would you like to take a sinecure in the Heavenly Punishment?"

Qin Siyu blinked: "Is this a sinecure, the kind where you get paid without doing anything?"

"Pretty much. I can register you in the support department as an 'observation member,' but you can only receive a basic subsidy of 10,000 per month."

"But money isn't important. The main thing is to get you an official identity from the Heavenly Punishment Bureau. It might come in handy in the future."

The girl obediently replied, "Lord Jiang, if you think it's useful, then hang it up. I'll listen to you."

"Alright, I'll get it for you tomorrow." Jiang Hou patted the girl's hair before opening the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Sutra in his hand, preparing to study it.

"Thus have I heard. The Buddha is in the Trayastrimsa Heaven, and all the Buddhas and great Bodhisattvas in the immeasurable realms of the ten directions are here."

"In this defiled world, he manifested inconceivable power of great wisdom, subdued stubborn beings, made them understand the Dharma of suffering and joy, and each sent his attendant to inquire after the World-Honored One..."

Jiang Hou was already overwhelmed by the first few hundred words.

He recognized each of the characters, but couldn't understand their meaning when put together. Fortunately, the poster had annotations on the back of each page.

Upon comparison, Jiang Hou quickly understood the meaning of the five poisons as mainly discussed in the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Sutra.

The so-called five poisons are greed, anger, ignorance, pride, and doubt, which represent all human troubles and sufferings. Greed represents human greed, greed for money, greed for sex, greed for food and play.

At a deeper level, it's the desire to control the outside world, to control everything around us, and to endlessly take—all of these are forms of 'greed'. Anger, on the other hand, represents resentment and rage. This anger doesn't refer to emotions, but rather to anger, hatred, and dissatisfaction towards life—all of these belong to anger.

Similarly, "痴" does not simply refer to being mentally challenged or stupid; it also includes being slow-witted and short-sighted.

The five poisons originate from human consciousness and mind; all mental and physical suffering stems from the derivation of various desires.

To cultivate one's mind, one must first understand oneself, find the root causes of the five poisons in one's mind, and then cut them off one by one. In the end, the mind will be clear and pure, as clean as crystal, untouched by dust.

With a heart of crystal reflecting both the inside and outside, all pollution that permeates consciousness, spirit, and even soul will have nowhere to hide.

The scripture was about 20,000 words long, but the annotations after "The Masked Thief" were over 110,000 words long. It took Jiang Hou almost two hours to finish reading it.

After watching it, I was completely dumbfounded.

Although the Ksitigarbha Sutra has commentaries and Jiang Hou understood the meaning of the Five Poisons, what's next? How can one gain enlightenment and reach the state of a mind as clear as crystal?

Seeing Jiang Hou staring blankly into space, the girl, who had already finished watching TV, hesitated and asked, "Jiang Hou, is there a problem?"

"Kind of."

Jiang Hou came to his senses and said with a wry smile, "I encountered two legendary experts of the Heavenly Punishment earlier. They told me to take some time to read Taoist and Buddhist scriptures and cultivate my mind and character."

"But this stuff is really not for humans to read. Even though it has detailed annotations in plain text, I'm still a bit confused and can't understand it after reading the whole thing."

"How do we achieve self-realization? Through meditation?"

"Although I can perceive my own consciousness, what about my heart?"

"Consciousness is the manifestation of thought, but the feeling of the heart belongs to a deeper level of intention, even more ethereal than the soul, which exists but cannot be perceived."

At this point, even Jiang Hou was a bit overwhelmed; it was too difficult.

"Is it that difficult? Do you want me to give it a try? My homeroom teacher has always said I have a natural talent for this." Seeing Jiang Hou's troubled expression, the girl who wanted to help was eager to give it a shot.

"What wisdom? The homeroom teacher clearly said you are very intelligent," Jiang Hou corrected.

They were in the same school and class before high school, so Qin Siyu's homeroom teacher was also his homeroom teacher, which is why he knew about this.

However, Jiang Hou still handed her the scriptures in his hand.

"Look."

Hehe! The girl took the heavy scripture, but when she opened it and looked at the seemingly plausible Buddhist text, she was dumbfounded.

The girl did not give up. With a serious expression, she began to read the words one by one from the beginning.

"Thus have I heard. The Buddha is in the Trayastrimsa Heaven, and all the Buddhas and great Bodhisattvas in the immeasurable realms of the ten directions..." Qin Siyu's voice was soft and magnetic.

For a moment, the only sound in the quiet living room was the girl's chanting, and an indescribable sense of ethereal holiness permeated the air.

Especially when the girl's voice frequency, including its ethereal quality, gradually overlapped with the Buddhist chants in Jiang Hou's ears, Jiang Hou's eyes brightened, and he vaguely saw something, yet felt that something was missing.

"Siyu, continue reciting with all your might, don't stop."

Looking at Jiang Hou, who was sitting cross-legged on the sofa with his black and red hair moving without wind and a solemn expression, Qin Siyu did not speak, but simply moved her mind to make a decision.

Instantly, the mark between the girl's eyebrows emitted a golden glow, and the restored power of her words surged forth, merging into her voice and Buddhist scriptures.

hum!
The empty room was filled with light, and the entire living room was enveloped in golden Buddhist light that appeared out of nowhere. Every time the girl opened her mouth, a golden Buddhist script flew out and merged into Jiang Hou's body.
