Chapter 43 Scooter

When Ryan regained consciousness, Abigail was gone.

"Leaving so early?"

"My parents might be back this morning, so I have to go back early." Abigail thought for a moment and explained.

"Then why didn't you wake me up? Drive you back."

"I want you to rest for a while since you are usually so busy. I have also been very busy these past two days with training. I will let another classmate take care of your tutoring," said Abigail.

"Training? Isn't the most important game over?"

"I still have to train. Coach, based on my current performance, I might be able to compete in the next London Olympics." Abigail said firmly.

Ryan put down the phone and smoothed his hair from forehead to back of his head.

He realized that Abigail was deliberately distancing herself from him, and guessed that it was probably because she was chatting with a female fan while watching a movie yesterday, or maybe Abigail was not asleep when she talked to Taylor on the phone last night.

He had no explanation for these two things, it was pure bad luck, and only time could explain everything.

Coincidentally, Marvin called Ryan in the morning.

"Boy, you're lucky. There's a big event going on in Florida. A famous nightclub in Orlando is holding a 10th anniversary event. They've invited several big names and are very generous."

“Why not let the dead rat go?”

"I would like to, but Ultra Music Festival has a performance protection agreement with Dead Rat. He won't be able to perform publicly in Florida for the next six months after the festival." Marvin explained.

In order to improve its competitiveness, Ultra Music Festival signed protection agreements with all the DJs performing at the time. However, Ryan, as a guest at the time, was not subject to any restrictions.

Ryan and Marvin set a time.

"Finally, don't let me see Joel. Everyone only has one chance with me, and he has been eliminated by me." Marvin did not forget to remind.

"We are partners..." Ryan said. Joel was so addicted to electronic music that it affected his job as a sound engineer assistant. In addition, the current market situation was not good, so Blackbird Studios directly fired him. This compensation was very important to Joel.

"If you must take him with you, then you don't have to come." Marvin's tone left no room for doubt.

"Well."

"Just book a flight for Friday."

"No, I mean I'm not going either," Ryan said.

"You two are really a fool and a lunatic!" Marvin said helplessly. Although he said this, he actually felt that Ryan was a very loyal guy. There are not many people like him nowadays.

Marvin finally agreed to Ryan's request, and Joel's compensation would be calculated separately and would not need to be paid from Ryan's compensation.

When I got home in the morning, I found that Terry had not gone out.

"It's a rare day off today." Terry stretched.

"What to eat?"

"Fried fish! Grilled meat! And spaghetti bolognese!" Terry counted on her fingers.

Ryan put on an apron and rushed straight into the kitchen.

Halfway through the meal, Trey rushed in holding a phone. From her lip movements, it was Taylor Swift again.

"I want to invite you to participate in the production of "You Belong With Me." Taylor didn't mention that he was blocked at all.

What new tricks are you going to do?

"I'm cooking." Ryan hung up the phone.

When the meal was ready, Taylor called again. This time Ryan didn't answer the call at all and asked Terry to refuse directly.

"She asked you to be the producer, and her head was hit by the door?" Terry was very surprised.

"Who knows what she wants to do." Ryan shook his head and ignored it.

In the afternoon, Tracy took the initiative to suggest that Ryan take her out for a ride. The two then went to the famous Bluebird Cafe for afternoon tea. There were photos of Taylor performing here on the wall. After that, the two went out for a walk.

Terry talked about how her ex-husband died of illness, and her daughter died two years later due to genetic reasons. Now only her old father is still alive, but he is stubborn and refuses to move from his hometown in Florida.

In the middle of the conversation, Trey hid aside mysteriously and answered a phone call. No one knew who called her.

"Have you ever thought about finding another husband in all these years?" Ryan asked casually when she came back. "Don't mind my business." Terry hit Ryan on the head.

Then Terry started to care about Ryan's situation again.

"I didn't realize you're so capable that you've even started looking for an assistant." Terry expressed surprise.

"She's a social media assistant. She helps me post photos and videos every day and interact with fans," Ryan explained.

Then Terry pulled Ryan back.

"Where?"

"Of course I'll help you with the interview. That's what I'm good at." Terry said without turning her head.

Ryan blushed a little, mainly because Terry held his hand.

"What's that serious? You haven't even touched Taylor and Abigail's hands, have you?" In the car, Terry noticed Ryan's abnormality and immediately laughed.

"That's not the case." Ryan shook his head. In fact, these two people must have "appreciated" all the places they could touch, but the places they could not touch still needed to be "explored".

"Then why are you blushing?"

"I remember your..." Ryan murmured.

"STOP!" Terry stopped her quickly.

“There’s definitely something wrong with this scooter avatar!”

After returning home, Terry and Ryan chatted with several online applicants and came to a conclusion after some investigation.

"Look, both the YouTube and Myspace accounts are newly registered, and except for you, this account has never replied to anyone. Obviously, someone is watching you anonymously." said Terry.

"Fraud, extortion, hacking. Remember, never open any links sent from this account." Terry continued to remind.

Ryan nodded, one should always be on guard against others.

But apart from this "scooter", no one can meet Ryan's requirements at the moment, and he can only wait for new resumes to be submitted.

Just at this time, Trey received another call from Taylor Swift.

Ryan still let Tracy answer the phone.

"He's not here, and I don't know where he went." Terry shook her head.

"Ah?" The next second her expression changed and she looked embarrassed.

"Okay, I'll talk to him about it tonight." Terry hung up the phone.

"She said she has found a social media staff for you and you don't need to pay for it," said Terry.

Apparently, Taylor had discovered Ryan's recruitment notice posted online.

"I can't understand it. He wanted to cut off contact before, but now he's taking the initiative to stick to me and showing care for me. Is this the love between you young people?" Terry exclaimed in amazement.

"Love?" Ryan sneered.

"Have you ever considered getting to know her again? You have to think carefully, this may be your last chance." Terry reminded with a smile.

"Hey, don't be shy. You're a man. The girl has already humbled herself so much. What's wrong with giving her another chance? You have to be magnanimous." Terry actually helped Taylor to make peace.

"Whose side are you on?" Ryan exclaimed.

"I don't take sides with anyone, I just think... to be honest, she contacted me secretly this afternoon and gave me the job of shooting the MV for the second single from her new album. You see, she's really sincere!" Terry blinked her eyes, obviously having been bought off.

"I really should get a video recorder and let Abigail see what you look like now." Ryan was speechless.

"They are good sisters, there is no need to tell them apart. Just be happy." Terry joked.

Damn, your thinking is too "progressive".

Ryan stopped talking to her and went back to his room to sleep.

 Thanks for voting brothers.
