Chapter 24 Eulalie Hicks
Tom covered his nose and looked at the strange creature in front of him that was devouring the food with disgust.

"Where did you find this?"

"This is not some 'thing', this is a house elf, his name is Toby, and he is my most loyal servant."

Li Weide said as he added a chicken drumstick to Toby's plate.

"What is that?" Tom looked at Li Weide in confusion.

Tom, who has just entered the wizarding world, doesn't know what house-elves are.

Before Levitra could say anything, Toby jumped up and yelled like a nervous wretch.

"Ah! Great Master Wade! Kind Master Wade! How could I let you add food to Toby? Toby is damned! Toby must punish himself!"

"Stop, I order you to finish eating."

Just as Toby picked up Tom's new cauldron and was about to smash it on his head, Levid calmly gave the order.

Toby had no choice but to put down the crucible, sit back on the ground and continue eating.

But his eyes, which were as big as tennis balls, were filled with tears.

"Oh... Master Wade is truly the best and greatest master in the entire world!"

"So, what's going on? What exactly are house-elves? Has he always been this neurotic?" Tom asked with a frown.

Just now, Tom, who couldn't sleep, took the things he had packed long ago and prepared to meet up with Wade. When he entered the door, he saw Li Wade ordering Toby to eat.

Tom had never seen a house-elf before, so he had no idea what Levi had done in the few hours he was away...

Li Weide patted Tom's shoulder and said seriously: "Don't worry, although your status has changed from my most loyal servant to the second most loyal servant, I will still treat you as well as before."

Tom's face darkened instantly, and even the veins on his forehead bulged. He asked word by word, "Who do you say is your servant?"

"Tom...you are not as respectful to me as you were before. Now you know why you were demoted from the first servant to the second servant, right?" Li Weide said with regret on his face.

"You fucking idiot..." Tom resisted the urge to attack because he didn't want to be beaten!

'Calm down... You can't beat him yet... Calm down...'

Tom took several deep breaths before he finally calmed down.

"What's wrong? Are you hungry too?" Li Weide looked at the pot in his hand, then looked at Tom, "There are some left here, if you want..."

"No! I'm not hungry at all!" Tom's emotions, which had just calmed down, almost exploded again.

"Okay, forget it." Levitra put the pot next to Toby and let him continue eating.

"So what are house-elves?" Tom persisted.

"House elves are the most loyal servants of wizards. They also master a lot of interesting magic. Although they don't seem as powerful as wizards' magic, they are still very useful in dealing with some household chores. By the way, I saw these in a book in the bookstore today."

Then, Levitra told Tom what he had just done when he was wandering outside and picked up a house-elf.

Anyway, if there is always a house-elf following me in the future, I will definitely not be able to hide it from others, so I might as well say it directly.

"I don't think this dirty creature can be of any help." Tom looked at Toby with disgust.

"Don't underestimate any creature, Tom, otherwise, you will suffer in the future." Li Weide said meaningfully.

By this time, Toby had eaten everything on his plate and in the pot.

"Master Wade, Toby has never been so full..." Toby said, and was about to cry again.

"Okay, Toby, find a place to rest first, and remember to clean yourself up. I don't want to see you dirty next time." Li Weide gave the order again.

Toby sobbed, bent over and said respectfully: "As you wish, Master Wade."

"Snapped!"

Toby disappeared right where he was, leaving behind only a sound like a whip hitting the ground...

This scene made Tom's eyes widen.

"Look, at least you don't have to help me wash the dishes anymore." Li Weide pointed to the plates and pots on the ground. Tom only then realized that the plates and pots that had just been placed on the ground had become as clean as new without knowing when.

It has to be said that Toby is indeed an experienced house-elf, and his kitchen magic is mastered to perfection.

Suddenly, Tom said with a twinkle in his eyes: "What's the big deal about washing dishes? I can actually help you cook."

"You are planning to poison me, right?" Li Weide remained unmoved.

"Tsk...is it that obvious?"

……

In a blink of an eye, a hint of paleness appeared in the sky, and the sky gradually brightened.

Li Weide was sitting on the bed, reading "The Count of Monte Cristo" with great interest.

Tom looked out from time to time.

"Could it be that Dumbledore's people forgot to pick us up? It's almost dawn." Tom said anxiously.

Li Weide suddenly closed the book slowly and said, "Isn't this coming?"

"Coming? Where?" Tom had just finished asking when he heard faint horse neighing in the sky.

Tom quickly looked up at the sky.

The neighing of horses was getting closer and closer, and suddenly, a carriage appeared from the gray clouds! However, from what Tom could see, there was no horse in front of the carriage, only a middle-aged man acting as the driver.

Li Weide also looked out the window, but in his sight, in front of the carriage, there were three strange horses that were pitch black, had wings, and were skinny, pulling the carriage hard and landing towards this side.

Livid recognized that they were three thestrals, a magical animal that could only be seen by those who had truly seen death.

Before traveling through time, Li Weide had seen death, so he could see these Thestrals.

But now Tom is a rookie and his KD is still 0/0, so he can't see the Thestrals yet.

"bump!"

The carriage landed in front of the orphanage's gate with a loud bang.

But the people in the orphanage and other residents on the street seemed to have heard nothing and remained silent.

At this moment, the door of the carriage was suddenly opened, and a black-skinned witch with curly hair holding a book in her hand jumped out of the carriage.

She looked at the gate of the orphanage in front of her, then raised her head and looked directly at the window of Levi's room, meeting Levi and Tom's eyes.

A smile appeared on the witch's lips, and then she disappeared in the next second.

Tom stared out the window with wide eyes, "Where did she go?"

"Are you looking for me?" Suddenly, a woman's voice came from behind the two of them.

Tom was startled and turned around quickly.

Li Weide turned his head and saw that the witch had come behind them at some point.

Tom looked at her in shock. "Who... who are you? How did you get in?"

He was outside one second, and the next second, he was behind me on the second floor. It was scary just thinking about it.

"Hello, my name is Eulalie Hicks. You can call me Professor Hicks." The witch smiled and extended her hand to Levi and Tom.

Tom looked at Hicks warily, without moving.

Li Weide also extended his hand and shook her hand. "Professor Hicks, are you the person sent by Professor Dumbledore to pick us up?"

Eulalie Hicks is a character in the movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". She is the professor of Charms at Ilvermorny and the earliest member of Dumbledore's Army.

In addition, I also plan to follow the setting in the movie and let the young Professor McGonagall appear... Although according to the timeline of the original book, Professor McGonagall is only about three or four years old at this point...
