My girlfriend died in the past

Okay, let’s chat. After all, I haven’t written anything or communicated with anyone for a while, so it’s nice for you to just listen for fun.

I've been failing this year, and there are many reasons for that.

It’s mainly because of my personal problems.

I am a person who is easily influenced by the outside world. In addition, the pressure of mortgage life in reality is suffocating me, so I become more and more impatient.

This is what caused bronchitis when I was young. After I was cured, I suddenly had a big temper tantrum at home. My family thought this was not good, so they took me to the hospital.

A formal public psychiatric hospital. Then he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

This disease in the pathological sense is different from the mental illness that everyone knows. Most of the time I have no interest in anything, including communicating, reading, watching movies, watching anime, and even eating.

I just want to lie still, without thinking about anything, and I don’t want to eat even if I’m very hungry.

That’s right, during this period I only eat one meal a day, and sometimes I just eat two buns with boiled water.

It’s not that I really can’t afford to eat, I just simply don’t want to eat.

But at a certain time, it will suddenly explode, wanting to kill people, destroy things, destroy everything, even itself.

The hospital prescribed some medicine, but said it had side effects. Its main function was to regulate the secretion of hormones and dopamine.

I didn't dare eat too much, so I went to see a Chinese doctor, who prescribed Chinese medicine to nourish my liver, lungs, and stomach.

To be honest, it's really hard.

Then the doctor told me to think more, but not to think too much about things that would make me anxious.

After all, it’s just because of lack of money and the pressure of real life.

In fact, I still have no money.

But the pressure of life is not as simple as it sounds, and I am a person who likes to put pressure on myself. Moreover, I didn’t dare tell my colleagues about this because if I lost my job, I wouldn’t even be able to pay my mortgage.

But if you want me to find something for fun, I really don’t have anything I like. Games are getting more and more expensive these days, and I have absolutely no interest in them. After much thought, I think novels are the best choice.

How should I put it? I used to check the charts, such as the new book list and the bestseller list.

There are many books I can't finish reading.

I just think that the book is just averagely written, so why does it get such good grades?

Of course I wouldn’t doubt that there was something wrong with what they wrote, otherwise the results wouldn’t be so good.

So I fell into self-doubt and self-tug-of-war - I'm too inexperienced, and now I can't see what's good about other people's books.

So I tried to follow suit.

But readers who have read my books for a long time know that this is totally inconsistent with my personality.

I have a problem. The more other people read, the more they can write, but it's the opposite for me.

The more I read, the less I can write, because I hate repeating myself, not only repeating myself, but also repeating others' things.

I have a friend who also reads novels, but not on Qidian (laughs).

He introduced two novels to me, praising them to the skies and saying they were invincible.

I won’t mention the specific title of the book because it’s so popular and I, little Karami, can’t jump like that.

So I said I would go and learn.

And those two books are really well written.

But on the other hand, I read more than 30 and 50 chapters of those two books respectively, and then I found the prototypes of the story plots I had read in them, eight times in more than 30 chapters of one and thirteen times in more than fifty chapters of the other. Then I told my friend all of that and even took screenshots of the links to the sources and sent them to him.

He just sent me a bunch of ellipsis.

In fact, I also know that there are no completely different stories in this world, including myself. Some people may say that they have seen your story somewhere, but I really have no impression of it. I can only say that everyone's preferences are similar.

So, my attempt to follow the trend also failed, because I myself couldn't like it. Readers are very perceptive and can naturally notice it, so it's reasonable for it to fail.

This is also the reason why some readers come to me and say they want to read me write about martial arts or entertainment, but I always avoid talking about it.

Unless I find a new and interesting entry point, I will definitely not touch these topics again, because writing about them will only disappoint the readers. It is better to keep the expectations and bring you stories on these topics when I find the feeling in the future.

On the other hand, I have another problem, which is that I pursue logic more and more. No matter what the plot in the book is, I must find a place that conforms to the logic of reality, otherwise I always feel that there is a problem.

My grades were not good during that period, so I asked a few old readers what they thought was wrong.

They said no problem.

Yes, no toxicity, no problem.

It's smooth and fluent, the writing is acceptable, and there's nothing to fault with the plot.

But it doesn't look good.

Or it is too smooth, like a glass of plain water. All the protagonist's actions are the optimal solutions, but there is no emotional fluctuation.

So I was confused again, and then I spent several months in a daze.

Until last month, an author asked me to go out and relax. It was National Day at that time, so I went. This time I met nearly twenty author friends.

Some I have seen before, some I have never seen but I chat with them in the author group every day, and some I meet for the first time.

When we were chatting, they asked me when I would start writing a book, and I said I couldn’t write anymore and I had given up.

They said no, I just hadn’t come across anything I wanted to write about.

I said yes, then what should I do? Look for popular works on the charts and find a strong gimmick to follow the trend? I really tried, but I couldn't do it.
So they told me to hold it in, then go to the toilet and empty my mind while thinking about random things, and then write down what comes to my mind the most.

Then many comics and movies I had seen before popped into my mind.

"The Night the Comet Came", "The Hacker from Another Dimension", "Time Traveler", "Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-", "The Street Where Only I Am Missing", "Steins;Gate", and so on.

So at that time, I came up with three stories in my mind.

One is a story similar to "The Night the Comet Came", which is about multiple parallel time and space interweaving.

The second is the story of multiple world nesting dolls based on the "brain in a vat" theory.

The third one is the current timeline story.

I told them three stories, and they all said they were all very interesting, but they didn't understand the first two.

Because these authors are all big names, I have complete faith in them. They told me that when writing novels, one should try to lower the reading threshold as much as possible.

I thought it made sense, and those two were indeed too complicated, so I preliminarily finalized the current story.

You can see this from the third chapter. Because I really couldn’t accept those two stories, I mentioned them when the protagonist was analyzing the story with Dong Zeyu in the book (laughs).

Of course, it’s just a preliminary finalization now, and I don’t plan to actually write it.

Until one day after returning from vacation, the editor suddenly contacted me and said, "Wangchuan, I haven't published a book for a long time. Do you want to try publishing one?"

I had an idea and wrote the first four chapters in one go, then sent them to him along with the outline.

After reading it, he said there was nothing to change. I was relieved because all my previous books failed as soon as I changed the beginning, and the ones that published results were all without changing a single word.

Because everyone has different ideas, their suggestions are correct, but they may not be suitable for me.

They say it's because I have my own style, but I know it's because I'm too self-centered.

But the editor still expressed doubts - "Your book has a good story, but it has a certain threshold for readers and is relatively unpopular. Are you sure you want to write it?"

I said I was sure that if I didn’t write a story that interested me, I might as well not write it. Besides, readers would be able to tell whether I was paying attention or not.

Thanks to editor Fu Chen, who gave me this opportunity but also gave me a heads-up in advance.

"Stories like yours won't be very interesting if you read them over and over again, because they are not suitable for daily reading."

He's right.

Now the recommendations for new books on Qidian are oriented towards daily follow-up reading, so the authors will become more and more impatient. If one day the follow-up reading does not increase or even decreases, they will be very anxious, and then try their best to speed up the plot, pretend to be cool, add explosive points, and even leave hooks, just for the purpose of follow-up reading.

Because the follow-up reading is high, it can be recommended.

The old saying that good wine needs no bush is a thing of the past. Now even good wine needs a bush, and it may not be good. This is also the reason why everyone is competing for certain lists, because they are really useful. Readers who have read a lot of books should all smile at this (laughs).

It turned out to be true after the book was published. The reading rate of others was an upward trend, while mine was an electrocardiogram.

Then there is the plot, which is written on very thin ice, but it is very enjoyable.

When I wrote books before, I might only produce four or five thousand words in more than ten hours a day, but now I can finish several thousand words in one go after get off work.

On the contrary, I was sweating profusely when writing the daily plots that I was good at in the past.

And I was fully prepared for the connection between each plot and each flashback.

Next, let’s talk about the plot.

In fact, after Shu Die died in front of Zhuang Xiao at the police station, my original plan for the plot was not like this.

I had several plans at the time, and the current direction is just one of them.

The continuation of my original idea was that the protagonist rescued Shu Die next time, and then at the moment when he thought he had succeeded, Shu Die died again.

Or Shu Die was rescued, but Dong Zeyu or the protagonist's parents died.

Then continue to backtrack and continue to find solutions.

But I also feel it’s inappropriate.

Because this kind of "magical development" can indeed increase the number of readers, I can guarantee that the number of readers will increase.

But in fact, you have already gone back to it twice, and the readers’ emotions have reached this point. You will be criticized if you continue.

I have many follow-up plans, and each plan has a subsequent plot, which I cannot break down here.

If it unfolds in this way, it will fall into an endless process of "failing to save the situation and then backtracking".

Because as long as he is really rescued, the story will end and there will be nothing to watch afterwards.

But this first event is only the starting point of my plot, and even the "trigger point" of the protagonist's "time travel" has not been fully developed.

I am a person without my own opinion, or rather, I do have some ideas in my mind but I am easily influenced, so I went to consult a few author friends and editors.

They said that there is nothing wrong with writing like this, but it is not recommended because the reader's emotions will be interrupted. Although the number of readers will indeed increase, it is a sustainable way of fishing in troubled waters.

If you're not just trying to write a good story, then there's nothing wrong with writing like this.

I said that I just wanted to write the story well, or at least write it completely, so that I could do justice to myself and to the readers who read my book.

So they told me that the "God-level expansion" cannot be used frequently, because the tone is too high in the early stage and will inevitably collapse quickly afterwards.

Dear readers, you have read a lot of books and should understand what I am saying.

(That is, many books are very popular in the early stage, but they may collapse after 400,000 or 500,000 words after being put on the shelves, and then the author loses his temper and directly cuts it off. This is also true for many books with over 10,000 first orders).

This can also be considered a drawback of the current recommendation method, because you lay the foundation for character settings and world view framework in the early stage, and try to make this world real. If you don't make it very popular right from the start, you won't be able to beat others if you are recommended for PK.

If it were the old me, I would probably have made that choice, but this time I really don’t want to, because I like this story very much and I really want to write it well.

So I made my choice.

But then, the problem arose again.

That is Zhuang Xiao’s warehouse operation.

I have several contingency plans here! (I have contingency plans!)
The first one is the most logical and reasonable, which is to call the police and leave everything to them.

Because the four people including Luo Wei each had their own ulterior motives, and several of them were just ordinary people, their preparations were bound to be incomplete and would leave traces.

Therefore, if the police investigate, they will definitely find clues and bring them to justice.

But what does this have to do with the protagonist? Are readers here to see your protagonist’s actions or to see the supporting characters steal the show?

This cannot be said to be completely irrelevant, but it can also be said to be basically irrelevant.

And there is not enough sense of security.

Because what crime had they committed? Attempted kidnapping?
They haven't even started yet! Conviction is a difficult thing.

Even if they are really convicted and they are released in a few years, will they take revenge on the protagonist?
This is too insecure, but it fits with my past personality, which is to pursue the ultimate "realistic logic".

So I gave up this option here, and decided that the protagonist must solve the problem himself (otherwise why would you be the protagonist), and they must all die.

Then I have several other plans! (Laughs)
The first thing is to create an accident. Since you are playing with a car accident, I will create an accident too.

But this is very difficult because there will be bugs no matter what, and the villains can cause car accidents because they have secrets (I won’t spoil this for now, I can only say that the story of the four dead people is not over yet, and they will have roles to play later).

But everything about the protagonist is presented to the readers, and he can't handle it this way.

Then the second plan is to blow them all up with a warehouse bomb!
It is indeed very explosive, just like the old Hollywood blockbusters (not to mention the current ones), in the physical sense.

But the question is, how can the protagonist get rid of suspicion?
Everyone knows the current situation. Do you want to do it secretly? You can't do it. Have you asked the Sky Eye cameras all over the streets?
Hence the current plot.

The protagonist must participate personally and tell the police clearly that I was indeed there, so that the whereabouts can be matched.

And the complete chain of evidence must be presented to the police, so there are follow-up operations.

But I was still hesitant at this time because there were indeed too many coincidences, so I took the manuscript to find the editor.

After reading it, the editor sent me something, which was a link to an interview with Araki Laoyao, the author of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure".

I went to watch it, and in it, Araki said that he often discussed similar things with his editor, but didn't know what to do.

The final approach was to abandon logic appropriately for the sake of plot coherence and excitement.

Of course, this logic refers to real-life logic, but it must be consistent with the setting logic in your story.

When I thought about it, it was true.

For example, in the battle between the assassination captain and the boss in the fifth part of JOJO, his stand ability is to transform the iron element into other forms, and then create a lot of iron nails and even scissors in the boss's body (and they are extremely sharp scissors that can directly cut off the feet! Even in the end, his death was caused by being accidentally locked by the stand radar of the small plane and then blindly shot from a long distance. The same is true for the volcanic stone rushing into the sky at the end of the second part of JOJO.)
Is this realistic? No! Because the human body cannot possibly have that much iron!
This includes teleportation, which is something the Qiao family can only do once in their lifetime, but it still doesn't hinder its excitement.

Then he gave me many examples of books. Those books all performed very well, but some of the plots in them were so bad that you just don’t have to think too much about them (I guess the readers have already thought of the plots of the novels they have read, but I can’t offend anyone by saying it~~)

It even includes a fairly classic element system in current online literature.

This thing was created to make some of the protagonist's behavioral logic conform to the "logic" in the book. It originated from game tasks in online game novels.

So I made the choice right now.

I can only say that I am not very mature yet. I can only try my best to write down what I can do after making a decision. Dear readers, there are many talented people out there, and you will surely be able to think of a better way than mine. I will work hard to learn and improve!

After all, I am just an ordinary person and I don’t have as strong talent as other authors. I can only grit my teeth and work hard to absorb and learn bit by bit.

Then there's the point where they have secrets, but the protagonist kills them all.

Because the protagonist is also an ordinary person, coupled with the stimulation of Shu Die's death in front of him, he is in an absolutely insecure state at the moment. I have mentioned many times in my book that he forced himself to stay calm, but the passage of time after each recap was like a sword of Damocles hanging over his head, and there was a countdown next to it.

Even if he knew there was a problem (for example, why Liu Lang was able to kill Shu Die so punctually, and why Liu Lang went for killing Shu Die when the other three people clearly only wanted to kidnap her).

He knew there were problems with all of these, but time waited for no one, so he could only deal with those dangers that directly threatened his life first, and deal with the rest later.

Dear readers, you are in a God's perspective, and your knowledge is definitely broader than mine, so you must have better ways to deal with it. It's just that I am not knowledgeable enough and can't think of so much for now, and it also requires the plot (crying).

And this matter is not over yet.

I have made a lot of plans for this book, including the subsequent plot and the character settings of each character.

It can only be said that what is shown now is just the tip of the iceberg. The personalities and backgrounds of these characters will be gradually filled in the subsequent plots.

That’s right, as mentioned before, these four people died. There is still a plot later, but I won’t spoil it!

You should know that the most important point about the "timeline" is the "changes" that occur after changing the "timeline"!

This is not a unit drama, but a complete storyline. Now I have just entered the main topic. The first story is just like the beginning of "getting familiar with the operation" of a game. Don't give up on me!
After talking about so much of my mental journey, I actually just want to have a heart-to-heart with my readers and tell everyone my true thoughts.

Then it's time to reveal the real culprit.
Please continue reading and give me monthly votes!
As we all know, the proportion of monthly tickets and follow-up reading in the new book list is very large. My book has no competitiveness in recommendation, and it all depends on the new book list to increase collections.

But story writing like mine is not suitable for daily reading, I understand that, but I really can’t beat others in PK.

So please, dear readers, please read till the end of the chapters on Mondays and Tuesdays! And please leave me some monthly tickets tomorrow, Monday! Just after 12 o'clock tonight!
I don’t have money to operate the business, and I don’t even have an operation officer for this book. Everything depends on the readers, so I will also try my best to write a good one!
please!
In the end, I’m not a literary youth, nor a tragedy. I’m a typical happy ending believer!
please!
