Chapter 7 "The Uncrowned King"

Chapter 7. "The Uncrowned King"

There are mainly two or three sources of organizational members.

There are two major categories: one is knowing what the organization does, and the other is not knowing what the organization does before joining.

Lin Longma belongs to the latter category.

The former are those who join for greater benefit or because they have no place to stay in society and seek refuge in the organization. Those who come to seek refuge are basically fugitives or traitors from a certain Yakuza organization.

There is nothing to say about this. If you know what the organization is before joining, then you obviously accept the organization's rules. If you have second thoughts and want to leave the organization, you deserve to be hunted down.

What did you think when you joined? You can't expect to quit after you've gained the benefits and discovered the risks.
The organization is not Deyun Club, how can it be easy to quit?
There are many explanations for the latter.

The quality of the people recruited is mixed, but most of them are peripheral action members.

But the core of the organization was not established for the purpose of committing crimes, crime is a method. Strictly speaking, the organization was established for scientific research.

So the question is, how many scientists in this world would join a criminal organization like a winery?

Not to mention scientists, just looking at the elites and talented newcomers in all walks of life, how many are willing to join a criminal organization and live a precarious life?

There may be such oddities, but there definitely won’t be that many.

But the organization still needs such talents, what should we do?
They disguise themselves as a formal company and then recruit talents, just like Miyano Shiho's parents, who were tricked into joining the organization.

Or you can pretend to be a formal company and cast a wide net to sponsor some children who have good grades and need support. It would be even better if they are orphans without any ties.

Lin Longma belongs to this category.

Don’t worry about whether the people who are tricked into joining can be used by the organization. If they can’t be used, it’s the same to kill them later. The first thing to do is to trick them into joining.

After you come in, it depends on your personal choice whether to follow the organization to the end or be killed by the organization.

Between these two options, Lin Longma chose the third one.

He did not initially refuse the tasks assigned to him by the organization, but instead worked hard to complete them perfectly.

Only after his status was raised and he was qualified to lead a team and manage it, did he begin to plan his own position.

There are only three categories of organizational members.

One type is the operatives who are responsible for executing the mission, similar to what Gin did. Robbery, extortion, murder, arson, these are the tasks that the operatives of the execution department need to do.

If you don't want to follow the organization to the end, then you must not go to the executive department.

The second is the Research Department, which is where Shiho Miyano works. As the name suggests, the Research Department is responsible for scientific research.

The research and development and experiments of the Dark Night Baron virus software and the research and development and trial of drug A are all part of the work of the R&D department.

This department requires relevant academic background, and ordinary people can't get in. Of course, except for some second-generation wine lovers, the rest of the research department are basically fooled in from outside.

It's just that some people choose to go along with the winery, and some people are at odds with the organization and dare not speak out. The third type is the Intelligence Support Department, which is also the department managed by the second-in-command Rum. As the name suggests, it is a department that provides intelligence support to the Executive Department.

It is also the department to which Lin Longma now nominally belongs.

When Lin Longma planned his own development direction, he did not follow Rum's example and develop his subordinates into the image of agents in film and television dramas.

Instead, they chose open source intelligence as their main attack direction, so that both Lin Longma and his subordinates could avoid doing all kinds of dirty work during the mission. Dirty work is something that cannot be washed clean even if you do it too much, and it will remain dirty for the rest of your life.

Not to mention that people like Lin Longma have their base color dyed black, so even if they wash off the ashes, they will still be black.

At the beginning, Rum did not think highly of people like Lin Longma because of their different development focuses and Lin Longma could not provide Rum with the information he wanted.

But as time went on, more and more people defected to Lin Longma, and Lin Longma's intelligence network became larger and larger.

Apart from the fact that Rum still couldn't get the information he wanted, Gin unexpectedly discovered that with the intelligence support from people like Hayashi Ryoma, the success rate and efficiency of the executive department's missions were greatly improved.

This brings us to the difference between Rum and Lin Longma in terms of intelligence characteristics. Rum is specialized and precise, and his group of "agents" can get Rum any intelligence he wants.

Lin Longma's intelligence is extensive and broad. Perhaps the information Lin Longma gets here is not as precise as that of Rum, but as long as he is willing to wait for a while, Lin Longma can always get some reliable information.

For the operatives in the executive department, even a little bit of intelligence is enough to greatly increase their success rate when they take action.

The most important thing is how many agents does Rum have under him? How many people does Lin Longma have under him?
Thanks to Lin Longma's "background", those members who were "misguided" and deceived into the organization no longer want to go down the same path as the organization.

You had no choice before, so why not join Lin Longma's army now, do some intelligence missions occasionally, and live a good life at other times?
Many people were deceived by the organization, and what was even more terrible was that most of them had special skills. These people were spread across various industries and formed intelligence nodes for Lin Longma.

Lin Longma is the banner figure they nominated, their leader, and their weather vane.

Rum is not a fool, he can naturally see what Lin Longma's intention is. But the problem is that there are too many people who think like Lin Longma, and there was no such person as Lin Longma to unify them, so this group of people is just a pile of loose sand.

Now this group of people have gathered under Lin Longma's command. They are not only protected by Lin Longma, but also his most loyal supporters.

Rum's plan to capture Lin Longma would easily send a signal to these people - the organization is about to start cleaning them out.

If these people really start a riot, the organization will not only be in disgrace, but will at least suffer serious damage.

The most annoying thing is that after Lin Longma's operation, these people and the executive department are almost as close as wearing the same pants.

If someone wants to touch Hayashi Ryoma, Gin will be the first one to disagree.

Damn you, Rum, if you take down Lin Longma, who will provide intelligence support to the executive department? You, Rum?
Even if you send out all the agents under your command, Rum, they will be unable to obtain the intelligence needed by so many operatives in the Executive Department even if they work themselves to death.

To put it bluntly, it is because there are too many people in the organization, which is why Lin Longma has become so powerful that he cannot be removed.

With Gin's recommendation, Lin Longma also successfully became the head of the organization's base, with his own territory, his own subordinates, and a large number of followers who were willing to follow Lin Longma.
Rum couldn't touch Lin Longma, so he could only suppress him and prevent him from becoming another leader of the organization.

But can this kind of thing really be solved by pressure alone?
