The title of the book "Embers of the Sword" is a bit old-fashioned. It is just four ordinary words without much novelty. Before the book was published, May also asked me whether I wanted to think about it again or change it.
But this is actually the story I wanted to write. The original introduction only had eight words: "A little ember can start a prairie fire."

This is a story of resurgence.

I am probably a very stubborn person. Sometimes I know how to do something better, but I just don’t want to do it that way.

This is how my previous book, The Barrier of Light, came about.

I knew that a science fiction book would most likely fail... but I still did it. Sure enough, the first order was very bleak, only a few hundred, and the royalties were so low that I couldn't even pay the rent. At that time, I was squatting in my rented room, writing with my head down, and I never thought that Guangming's average order would reach 30,000.

I like the indomitable frost grass, so there are Ning Yi and Gu Shen.

In fact, that is the "me" I want to be.

Identify a direction, then grit your teeth and work hard, even if you hit a wall, you will persist... If nothing unexpected happens, I don't think I can change this bad habit. As the saying goes, "A dog can't change its eating habits", this is probably the case.

I like Xie Xuanyi, but you may think he is a little old.

But he is actually a very "young" person.

The first volume of Embers of the Sword is called New Fire. Actually, in my original conception in January, there was no first volume at all. The story started directly from the second volume... But after a long consideration, I still made changes, so there is a slightly lengthy "road movie" plot at the beginning. Maybe when the story is fully unfolded, everyone will understand my intention of arranging it this way. It is much more difficult to write a protagonist who carries many stories than a boy with a blank sheet of paper.

Xie Xuanyi's past is very exciting.

But if you want to unfold it all at once, it will seem that the past is too boring——

So I have to slow down.
