Chapter 147 Driving

Chapter 147 Driving

"Director Link, do you often come to Pelican Hill to play golf?"

Michelle Pfeiffer asked while crossing her long, smooth legs in a moving car.

"No, this is my first time here today."

Link poured a glass of sparkling water and handed it to the woman.

"I don't come here very often. I came here today to meet Director Mike Nichols. I will be collaborating with him on my next film."

Michelle Pfeiffer laughed.

Mike Nichols is a well-known veteran director in the circle. He does not have many representative works, but almost all of them are excellent, including "Who's Who in Virginia Woo?", "The Graduate", "Silkwood", "Working Girl", etc. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director four times and won the award in 1967 for "The Graduate".

It's a good opportunity for Michelle Pfeiffer to be in his movie.

"You and Director Nichols are both talented, and the film you're working on together is very exciting."

"Thank you!"

Michelle Pfeiffer clinked glasses with him and said with a smile, "I heard that your new movie is about to start shooting. It must be a great movie."

"I can't guarantee an Oscar, but I will try my best to make a good movie and strive to surpass my previous work."

Link said.

"Are you going to surpass Paranormal Activity in box office results? Director Lin, you are really ambitious."

Michelle Pfeiffer quipped with a smile.

Link laughed and said, "It's all the same. Don't tell me you took on Nichols' movie just for the pay and not to win the Oscar for Best Actress."

"Haha, you guessed wrong this time. This movie is a thriller. It tells the story of an ordinary man who is bitten by a wolf and turns into a werewolf. This kind of movie is more commercial and has a low chance of being nominated for an Oscar. I really went for the pay."

Michelle Pfeiffer tilted her head and smiled.

Women in their thirties can still show a lovely style. It has to be said that the shelf life of women who are actors is longer than that of ordinary women.

"That doesn't mean anything. You are an excellent actor. With your attitude towards movies, even if the chances of this movie being nominated for an Oscar are low, you will try your best to do your best during filming and strive to get the attention of the Oscars."

"Director Lin, you've put me in a difficult position. I was originally planning to slack off during the filming of this movie, but after hearing what you said, I can't slack off anymore. Being lazy means being unprofessional and not being a good actor."

Michelle Pfeiffer gave him a mock-angry look.

"Do I need to apologize?"

"Okay, I accept your apology."

Michelle Pfeiffer couldn't help laughing, and her bust-bound maxi dress caused ripples.

Looking at the smiling face of the woman in front of him, Link couldn't help but admire her for being able to deal with things. Even if there had been some minor conflicts between the two of them before, it would be hard for him to dislike her after talking about them.

This woman has achieved a top spot in Hollywood, a city full of talented people, and it is not for nothing.

The car returned to downtown Los Angeles and stopped in front of a high-end apartment. Michelle Pfeiffer thanked him, and when getting out of the car, she suddenly asked him if he wanted to go upstairs for a cup of coffee.
Link was surprised. He heard that Michelle Pfeiffer had a boyfriend, so he asked if it was convenient.
Michelle Pfeiffer said of course, took his arm and said it was her honor to have him visit her home.

Link told the driver Wallace to drive to the underground garage, and he and Michelle Pfeiffer took the elevator upstairs.

To prevent any accidents, he took out the recorder from his pocket.

-

"Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!" x500
"Oyeah! Oyeah! Oyeah! Oyeah!" x1000.

"."

Before night fell, Link straightened his clothes and returned to the car from upstairs.

After the car started, he turned on the recorder and played the recording.

The result was a bit disappointing.

Before going upstairs, Michelle Pfeiffer suddenly invited him.

In the entertainment industry, if someone invites a person of the opposite sex to your home for coffee alone, you don’t have to think too much about it, as it definitely has some kind of meaning.

Considering Michelle Pfeiffer's relationship with Dustin Hoffman and others, and her status in the circle is no less than that of two-time Oscar-winning actress Jodie Foster, there is no need for her to go to this extent to please him.

To sum up, this invitation might be a Hongmen Banquet.

In order to avoid any accidents, he turned on the recorder he carried with him to see if there was any conspiracy.

But the situation was not as expected. After arriving at Michelle Pfeiffer's house, Michelle Pfeiffer took a shower, changed clothes, took out her treasured red wine, and talked about movies and science fiction novels with him on the sofa.

The atmosphere was just right when they talked, and the two of them got entangled with each other.

From the living room to the bedroom, he remained highly alert at first, doing his work while paying attention to the movements outside the door.

After more than ten minutes, no one came to kick the door or take pictures.

He began to let go, intending to lure the enemy out in this way to see who had better patience.

As a result, more than an hour later, nothing unexpected happened when he left.

There is no honey trap and no werewolf killing.

It seems that he misunderstood. This scene was supposed to be a romance, but he turned it into a thriller.

However, in order to prevent any accidents, he did not delete the recording and kept it as a souvenir.

The car returned to Beverly Hills. The sky was completely dark. The tall palm trees swayed their fluffy crowns in the evening breeze. The streets were full of neon lights, which were reflected on the car windows. On the way, he received a call from Renée Zellweger, who asked him what he was doing and whether he wanted to go to her place tonight.

Link responded that he was tired after playing golf and would not go today.

Renee Zellweger said she knows how to do massage and Thai spa, and asked him if he wanted to try it. She could come over.

Link thought about it and accepted her kindness.

Renée Zellweger immediately said happily that she would be there soon.

The car arrived at the Golden Oak Apartments. Link rubbed his overworked lower back muscles, got out of the car and walked into the community.

He couldn't help but be stunned when he walked into the elevator, and the woman in the elevator stared at him with wide eyes.

"Are you following me?"

Jodie Foster asked warily.

Link's mouth twitched, and he ignored her, and the elevator door slowly closed.

"Don't you think it's rude to turn your back to someone while talking?"

"Is it your courtesy to suspect others at will?"

"Okay, I have wronged you. I apologize."

Jodie Foster stepped forward and stood in a row with him.

"I forgive you."

"Huh, what have you been doing? Why are you back now?"

"Talk about work."

"I don't believe it. You smell like Chanel perfume. Did you go out fooling around?"

Jodie Foster folded her arms, a sneer of contempt on her lips.

Link leaned over his shoulder and stared into her cheek and eyes.

"what are you doing?"

Jodie Foster took a step back and leaned against the wall, a little nervous, but her eyes were full of stubbornness and fearlessness.

"I should ask you this question. You sound like my woman."

"Get lost! I just think you men are disgusting. You take advantage of your extra possessions to mess around and don't take responsibility at all. Some people take advantage of their wealth, status and position to do even more abominable things."

"What's the abomination?"

Link asked with a half-smile.

"I do not want to say."

"Everyone is born like this, why is this abominable?"

"Having a child is different from that kind of thing. One is noble, the other is despicable."

"It makes sense."

Link had no interest in arguing with her.

The elevator reached the 12th floor. Link politely asked Jodie Foster to go first, but Jodie Foster stood still and asked him to go out first.

Link stopped being modest and strode towards the right aisle.

Jodie Foster stood at the elevator entrance and looked around. After making sure he was not in the wrong place, she turned and walked to the left.

When she reached the door of the apartment, Jodie Foster took out the key to open the door, but after turning it a few times it didn't open. She couldn't help but frown. Did she take the wrong key?
"How about trying this key?"

Link's magnetic voice came from behind, and an exquisitely shaped key swayed in front of him.

Jodie Foster was stunned for a moment, then turned around and glared at him in shame and anger, "Asshole, you lied to me?"

"Just kidding. You're so beautiful and generous, you won't be angry, right?"

"you!"

Jodie Foster pursed her thin lips and stared at him closely. Her eyes were like little knives, stabbing into him.

"Why don't you come in and talk to see if there's any misunderstanding between us?"

Link smiled as he opened the door.

"Hmph, not interested."

Jodie Foster stomped away, took a few steps, turned back and pointed at him, "Link, you pissed me off, and I won't forgive you easily."

"Hey, Miss Judy, I don't want to offend you. I want to be friends with you. What should I do to get your forgiveness? After all, criminals also have the opportunity to atone for their sins, but I can't have none of it."

Link laughed.

Jodie Foster frowned and said, "I haven't thought about it yet. I'll tell you when I do."

Jodie Foster waved and walked away, looking cool.

Link smiled, watched her back as she walked into the room and closed the door.
