Chapter 256 Repeating Illusions

As the typhoon approached, the rain became heavier and heavier.

Koizumi Rin lied to her father, telling Nagai Miko, that she would be with Nagai Miko that evening and would be home late.

Yang Liu kicked off the national highway, climbed over the fence beside it, and led Xiao Quanling to the hillside.

A bolt of lightning ripped through the night sky, illuminating the area below the cliff beyond the bend—the trees below were jagged and broken, with some even having the wreckage of vehicles stuck in them.

Koizumi Rin suddenly screamed, staggering backward. Her pupils contracted sharply as she looked to the side of the road: "They're here!"

In the pouring rain, a somewhat transparent blue truck appeared out of thin air and sped toward the bend at an almost insane speed. Just as it was about to crash through the guardrail and plunge off the cliff, the truck's form suddenly froze, and then, like a film playing in reverse, it returned to the starting point and disappeared from the two people's sight.
