Chapter 32: Encountering Mutation Again
The ground was littered with the corpses of Steel Spike Turtles, and the Heavy Armored Monsters and Meteorite Swallows had become lifeless metal statues.

The heavily-armored monster was too big, so it might be impossible to take it back. The Meteorite Swallow could be taken back, but Lin Shen was afraid that it might carry some toxins, so he didn't touch it.

"If I had known this would happen, I should have let the die-hard fans deal with the poisonous turtle." Lin Shen was afraid that the die-hard fans would be poisoned to death, so he didn't dare to use them.

Outside the white sandy beach is a steel jungle. Unlike the area near the Xuanniao base, there are no green plants here at all. All the plants are made of metal.

Lin Shen didn't dare to rush into the steel jungle. With his weak body, if a mutant creature suddenly emerged from the grass, he wouldn't even be able to run away.

Looking along the coastline, there are large reefs and cliffs in the distance, and the view there is clearer.

Lin Shen wanted to see if he could find a place to hide there. As long as he could hold on for seventy-two hours, he could activate this damn teleportation device and go back.

The speedster was called over and asked to squat down. Lin Shen lay on his back and let the speedster carry him.

After walking about two or three kilometers along the coastline, Lin Shen suddenly saw a person lying on the beach in front of him.

Walking up to Wei Wufu, the speedster let Lin Shen down.

Lin Shen asked the speedster to drag Wei Wufu's body a little further out, to a place where the waves could not reach him.

Wei Wufu's clothes were torn in many places, but he did not appear to be injured. His hair was disheveled, soaked by the sea water, and stuck to his scalp in strands.

Lin Shen reached out his hand to feel his breath, then touched his artery, and was somewhat surprised to find that this guy was still alive, as if he had just fainted.

This discovery made Lin Shen a little entangled. If Wei Wufu had not helped him before, Lin Shen would have immediately let the speedster shoot him to avoid disaster. However, Lin Shen was influenced by his brothers and sisters, and he always distinguished between gratitude and resentment. He could not do such a thing as killing someone who had helped him.

Just when Lin Shen was thinking about how to deal with Wei Wufu, this guy actually woke up.

He opened his eyes and saw Lin Shen. He was startled for a moment, but didn't say anything. He pressed his hands on the sand and tried to get up.

But as soon as he moved, his face suddenly changed. It seemed like something was wrong with his legs. He was unable to stand up, but only sat up with his upper body.

"Are you okay?" Lin Shen asked, looking at his legs.

"My legs can't move." Wei Wufu replied.

Lin Shen fell silent upon hearing this. If his legs were crippled, then his life would be over. For a mutant, it would be impossible to fight against mutant creatures without legs.

"It's just that you can't move, you're not disabled." Wei Wufu seemed to see through Lin Shen's thoughts and said expressionlessly.

Lin Shen felt that this was just Wei Wufu's last act of stubbornness. His legs looked like they had no feeling at all. What else could they be but disabled?

However, Lin Shen didn't want to dwell on this question now. He noticed that Wei Wufu had the same watch on his wrist, so he asked, "What happened after you covered my escape? Why were you all gone when I returned to the canyon? How did you get here?"

The genetically modified creatures retreated. I fainted. When I woke up, I saw you."

Lin Shen was stunned by Wei Wufu's concise way of speaking. Most people speak with cause and effect, transitions and conclusions, and then add some embellishment and description, and often most of the information in a paragraph is useless.

This Wei Wufu is really good. He doesn't say any nonsense when speaking. All his words are useful information. It's like he is reading an outline of a question.

"What monster?" Lin Shen noticed Wei Wufu's choice of words. He used the word monster instead of genetically modified creature.

"I don't know. It looks like a human, but not a human. It looks like a genetically modified creature, but not a genetically modified creature." Wei Wufu replied.

"Um...can you describe the appearance of that monster..." Lin Shen felt as if he had heard it, but also as if he hadn't.

Wei Wufu was about to answer when they suddenly heard the sound of surging sea water. They both turned their heads to look, and their faces changed immediately.

A monster with a body made of blue metal and eyes like rubies, which looked like a human but had fish scales on its body, fins on its back and head, and gills under its cheeks emerged from the sea. It was holding a red metal fork in its hand, staring at Lin Shen and Wei Wufu with a fierce look, and was approaching the beach step by step through the sea water.

"Go away, you can't defeat the mutated alloy creature." Wei Wufu said.

"Nonsense, why shouldn't I go if I can?" Lin Shen's physical condition was a big problem. He couldn't even run away, so he could only ask the speedster to come and carry him.

However, as soon as the speedster moved, it immediately attracted the attention of the mutant creature. It didn't care whether the speedster was heading towards it or not. Its scaly legs burst out with terrifying strength and speed. Its body instantly crossed a distance of more than ten meters and rushed to the speedster, stabbing the speedster with a fork.

"You are fucking sick!" Lin Shen wanted to cry but had no tears.
