Chapter 104 Hagrid
Norbeta grew very fast. In just one week, her length had tripled.

Not only that, its fire-breathing ability has also made great progress. Normally, Norwegian Ridgeback cubs will not learn to breathe fire so quickly. A one-week-old dragon can only breathe out some smoke or sparks at most. Even for precocious individuals, it will take at least a month to fully master the ability to breathe fire.

But Nobeta's adoptive mother is an elemental creature like Xiaoyan. Perhaps some special elemental power acted on the little dragon's growth process, causing its fire-breathing organ to mature prematurely.

In short, now Norbeta can already spit out a few small flames. Although Hagrid is very excited about this, his house made entirely of wood does not think so.

"Whoa! Hagrid! Your table's on fire again!" Harry yelled.

"Clear water like a spring!" This is the little witch Hermione casting a spell.

"What's it got upset about?" Ron yelled angrily. "I almost fed Scabbers to it!"

Although the three little lions of Gryffindor were unable to see the dragon eggs due to Ivy's intervention, Norbeta, who had already hatched from the eggshell, was no longer as quiet as he was in the eggshell.

On an ordinary afternoon, Harry, Ron and Hermione had the following conversation.

"Where are you going? We haven't finished our review plan for today!" Hermione was worried that the two poor students would leave her sight, as if they would be expelled from school for failing if they lost her.

"Go find Hagrid!" Ron said without turning back. "We can't forget our friends just because we're reviewing our lessons! A Gryffindor would never do that!"

"Combining work and rest! It won't take us long!" Recently, Wood has completely given up hope of defeating Slytherin in Quidditch, so Harry's daily Quidditch training is also very easy, which means that he must also participate in every review meeting hosted by Hermione.

"You're right! Hagrid has been in this school for decades. He must know what kind of questions the professors like to ask!" Although Hermione is a typical good student, she is not opposed to doing some advance research on the exams. At least she should know the process of the final exam, right?

Normally Hagrid was very welcoming to his three children, but that day he uncharacteristically refused, which gave them even more desire to explore.

And Hagrid was a man who could never hide his true feelings, so in a blink of an eye, the three little lions of Gryffindor took on the task of feeding Norberta.

"If it burns my robes, my mother will beat me to death!" Ron was furious. He didn't want to get another one of his brothers' old robes. "Hey! You should be looking at the dead mouse, not my hand!"

"Don't yell at it, Ron! Norbert is still a baby!" Hagrid was preparing a plate of ferret sandwiches when he turned around and sternly stopped Ron from scaring the baby.

"It's a dragon!" Ron's eyes widened, and he looked at Hagrid as if he had seen some kind of monster. "Not some little bunny! Ouch!"

Now Harry and Hermione both knew that you must not be distracted when feeding a dragon, otherwise his fangs would sink into your flesh.

"Help!"

At Ron's plea, Harry bravely grabbed the dragon's long neck, while Hermione screamed and tried to think of some magic to stop it.

"Hey! Be careful! You're hurting it!" Hagrid put down what he was holding, took two steps at a time, and came to the three of them in one go.

"That's good of you to be a friend, Hagrid. I can't feel my fingers!" Ron tried to get the dragon to let go, but it didn't seem to be working.

"Let go of it, Harry! It's going to suffocate!" Hagrid was so anxious about the little dragon's safety that he didn't know where to put his hands.

"What? Are you serious?" Ron looked horrified. "I might lose a finger over this! Pry its mouth open! Hagrid!"

"It's not that serious, just a minor injury." Hagrid comforted the little dragon with gentle movements, and it seemed to have some effect, at least he supported the little dragon with his hands.

"Its teeth have pierced Ron's finger!" Harry couldn't bear to see his good friend lose a finger, so he took the risk and pried open the dragon's mouth despite Hagrid's objections.

"Thank you! Thank you for saving my finger!" Ron said with tears in his eyes. "Harry, you are my friend for life!"

Hagrid was so busy taking care of the little dragon that he had no time to pay attention to Ron.

"Did I miss something?" Ivy appeared at the door of the cabin and looked at the mess.

"You missed Norbert's dinner!" Hagrid tossed a dead mouse to the dragon and asked cheerfully, "How's it going?"

"It nearly had my finger for dinner!" Ron said resentfully.

"Of course there has been some progress. Slytherin has always made achievements in influencing the Ministry of Magic." Ivy walked around the crate on the ground. It was a temporary dragon's nest that Hagrid had made for the little dragon. But the latter destroyed Hagrid's three days of hard work in less than three minutes. Hagrid even praised it for its vitality.

"I'm not a big fan of Slytherin," Hagrid shrugged cheerfully, "but this is for Norbert! Anyway, thanks for your help, Ivy."

"Are you serious, Ivy?" Hermione couldn't help asking, "Helping Hagrid keep a dragon in the castle? Even if it's illegal?"

"As you can see, I'm working hard to make this legal," Ivy smiled at Hermione, who immediately looked away. Ever since he'd thoroughly studied the "Tome of Monster Control," written from Tom's soul fragment, Ivy had noticed that the young witches in the castle couldn't even look him in the eye. Luckily, he'd been operating as Professor Victor lately, rarely in his original role, so he hadn't caused any trouble so far.

"Shouldn't you take care of the wounded first?" Ron wailed, holding his finger while Harry was busy helping him stop the bleeding.

"Indeed." Ivy moved closer to examine his wound and offered some advice. "The teeth of a Norwegian Ridgeback are poisonous. Although it's still small, it will still be fatal if left untreated."

Ron gasped, "How long can I live? Will I have time to make a will?"

"Don't worry, Ron, you won't die." Ivy comforted him, "We have the school hospital. Madam Pomfrey can handle this kind of problem. I bet it won't take more than a cup of tea for you to recover."

"Won't she expose Norbert?" Hagrid asked worriedly.

"I'm almost dying!" Ron couldn't believe that his friend was so cold-blooded.

"It should be called Norbeta. I told you, Hagrid." Ivy still tried to correct Hagrid's name. "Female Norwegian Ridgebacks are much more ferocious than males!"

"Right! Call it Bad Girl Norberta!" Ron couldn't agree more.

"Hey!" Hagrid protested on behalf of the little dragon, but the latter did not appreciate it and burned off his beard.

"Clear water like a spring!" Hermione had no idea how many times she had used this spell today.

"As long as Ron doesn't tell Madam Pomfrey, she won't say anything." Ivy comforted her.

"Thank God!" Ron acted like a patient with a terminal illness who saw hope. "Harry, my good brother, can you go with me?"

"Why not?" Harry also wanted to leave Hagrid's cabin. Once the novelty of feeding the dragon wore off, the cabin, which was covered tightly by Hagrid, became hot and unbearable.

"I'm coming with you," said Hermione, who had helped Hagrid keep his beard. "Don't let Norbert burn down your house while I'm gone, Hagrid."

It seems that everyone agrees on Xiaolong's gender.

"Stay for dinner! I made stoat sandwiches!" Hagrid stood up to keep his friends, but they left even faster.

"Ivy?" Hagrid looked at another friend.

"I've already eaten, and I have other things to do." Ivy declined politely. The food Hagrid liked was indeed not suitable for ordinary people.

"I don't know why a first-year wizard is so busy..." Hagrid muttered so loudly that it could be heard outside the house, but Ivy turned a deaf ear to him.

"Okay, okay. You're Norbert's grandfather after all! As long as you come to see it more often, that's all." Hagrid stretched out his finger to scratch the little dragon's head, then dodged its attack lightly.

"Goodbye." Ivy said goodbye to her granddaughter with a smile.

Hagrid was a gifted man in every sense of the word.

Needless to say, his obvious physical talents are what's even more valuable, but what's more valuable is his talent in terms of magical creatures.

What Ivy values more is his talent in breeding magical animals.

If you read the original book carefully, you will find that Hagrid is not very good at dealing with magical creatures. It can even be called an abnormal phenomenon.

What normal person could crossbreed a fire crab with a manticore and successfully produce a new magical creature?

Although the fire crab is only a level XXX magical beast and is not particularly dangerous, the manticore is a true level XXXXX magical beast, on the same level as a fire dragon or a basilisk.

In terms of creatures familiar to Muggles, it's as outrageous as trying to crossbreed a wolf and a sheep and successfully produce offspring.

Although the blasting-end skrewt that Hagrid created in the original book was outrageous enough, Ivy, as a master of dark magic, felt that it was not enough.

If Hagrid could be given enough support, who knows, maybe he could create a magical creature more dangerous than the basilisk?

As an idealistic and ambitious wizard, Ivy felt that his future wizard tower or floating city, in short, a base for magic research, should need some dangerous creatures to guard the gate.

So who better to help than a half-giant who specializes in breeding dangerous magical creatures?
So in order to steal Dumbledore's love, Ivy made a little plan with the help of Lucius.
