Chapter 122 Noisy Exam Week
Chapter 122 Noisy Exam Week
In the Gryffindor common room.
Neville Longbottom, with smoke coming out of his head, came out of the Fat Lady's portrait, sobbing with tears on his face.
This was not the first time he had run into the common room like this. Normally, everyone would have laughed at him, but now the final exams were approaching and everyone was busy cramming, including Harry and Ron.
"What's wrong with you, Neville?" Ron, who was absent-minded in his review, smelled the lively atmosphere as soon as he raised his nose, "Hermione! Look at him, his head is smoking!"
Hermione put down the History of Magic textbook with a stern face, pulled Neville over, and sat with Harry and Ron.
"That's some kind of spell that set Neville's hair on fire." Hermione was very sure, "I don't know if I can help... clear water like a spring."
The spark on Neville's head went out, leaving an unpleasant burnt smell in the air.
"Malfoy..." Neville's voice was a little trembling, "I met him outside the library... He let a little dragon breathe fire and set my hat on fire... My head was almost burned together."
"Little dragon?" Ron was very sensitive to this word. He felt a dull pain in his fingers when he heard it. "Could it be Ivy..."
"It's the dragon model that Ivy made before Christmas!" Harry whispered, "I remember he gave the ceramic dragon to Malfoy after he came back from the Malfoy manor!"
Harry always remembers things about his enemies so clearly, whether it is Voldemort or Malfoy.
"That's really unfair..." Ron whispered. Apparently he also wanted a flying, fire-breathing dragon model.
"It's mainly because we don't have a father who can give us seven Nimbus 2001s." Harry shrugged. He still remembered the disastrous defeat of Gryffindor after Christmas. Since then, not only did Wood no longer talk about training, but even Professor McGonagall never mentioned the word "Quidditch" again.
"We have to find a way to help Neville!" Ron nodded heavily. He also thought that Malfoy was just a guy who looked arrogant but was actually just bluffing.
"There's only one week left until the final exams! What on earth are you thinking about?" Hermione couldn't believe the words coming out of her two friends' mouths. She turned to Neville, who was still crying (or maybe because Hermione's spring of water was dripping from his head), "Tell Professor McGonagall! Report him!"
Neville shook his head.
"I don't want to get into any more trouble... Hermione is right, after all, the exams are coming soon... Maybe this will be my last week at Hogwarts..." Neville's emotions suddenly broke down, and he burst into tears, "There is absolutely no way I can pass the final exam... Wahhhh..."
"You have to face him bravely, Neville!" Ron put his hands on Neville's shoulders and patted him hard. "There is no reason for us to give in to him! He is just a sycophant! Like a balloon that will burst if you poke it!"
"You don't have to tell me that I'm too timid and don't deserve to be in Gryffindor. Malfoy has already told me that." Neville said with a sob.
"You're better than a dozen Malfoys!" Harry reached into his robe pocket, but there was nothing. The weather was getting hot, and putting chocolate in your pocket would only turn it into a puddle of sticky liquid. "The Sorting Hat sorted you into Gryffindor, didn't it? Where's Malfoy?" Harry wanted to say something insulting about Slytherin, but he immediately thought of Ivy, so he stopped talking, "Unpopular Slytherin. You deserve Gryffindor, I believe you!"
Neville cried even louder, attracting the attention of everyone in the common room. It didn't feel good to be stared at, especially by so many people at the same time. Harry resisted the urge to throw Neville away and gave him a hug.
"Thank you. Thank you...Harry! I will prove that I deserve Gryffindor! Thank you!" Neville seemed to be much better. He repeated his thanks and wiped away his tears.
"I'm going to bed... I wish you good review." Neville went upstairs, and when he turned around, the trio saw his school uniform hat that was burned to tatters.
"Malfoy is such a nasty guy." Ron gritted his teeth, "We must find a chance to teach him a lesson!"
Harry nodded and was about to make some heroic remarks when he was interrupted by Hermione's serious look.
"Not now." Hermione also looked angry. "Final exams are obviously more important! And there's the House Cup!"
"Are you serious, Hermione?" Ron asked with wide eyes, "Malfoy has already bullied Gryffindor, and you let us sit back and do nothing? And we haven't had any points deducted for three months!"
"The amount deducted by Snape does not count," Harry added.
"That's right! Those don't count." Ron bumped fists with Harry and continued, "And speaking of the House Cup. Ever since Ivy led Slytherin to victory against us, nothing can stop Slytherin from defending the title. And there's Snape! I can't think of any reason why they lost!"
"Don't even think about it," said the mother bird. "Under my supervision, you didn't lose points from Gryffindor. Besides, after the final exams are over, you have a week to have fun."
"Hermione is right," Harry said suddenly, looking at Ron. "The end of the final exams means the end of the school year. Then Professor McGonagall will have no reason to deduct our marks anymore."
"Right." Ron drew out his voice, but agreed with Harry. If his grades weren't good enough, Mrs. Weasley would probably skin him alive, not to mention that he had five much better brothers.
So it was soon exam week.
The weather was terribly hot, and even more so in the classroom where they were answering questions. The professors had given them anti-cheating quills to use on the exams, and they were still walking back and forth in the exam room until a loud bang shook the entire castle.
Harry and his classmates were taking a written test in Transfiguration. The invigilator was Professor Sprout, who always had a kind smile on her face. She had obviously heard the unusual noise as well.
So while the professor left the examination room to check what happened, Harry quickly exchanged glances with Ron beside him, wanting to compare the content about Gamp's basic law of transformation. Although Hermione coughed hard twice, hoping to arouse their conscience, after looking towards the door, the two of them resolutely compared their answers.
Then they discovered to their sorrow that, regarding this question, none of the answers on their two test papers were the same.
