Chapter 130 Night Walker

Chapter 130 Night Walker

In the quiet castle, time always passes quickly.

Ivy hid at the entrance of the corridor on the fourth floor, ready to conjure up a comfortable armchair and sit on it at any time.

He cast an Disillusionment Charm on himself, allowing the cold magic to spread from head to toe, turning his body and the chair beneath him into a blurry, translucent curtain that blended into the wall of the corridor.

He was going to stay here tonight, just to prevent anyone from passing through, there was no point in wandering around the castle. Maybe he could even take a nap in the armchair.

Filch took his cat to patrol somewhere else. In his words, even if those little troublemakers had no intention of breaking into the fourth floor, they might still go to other places in the castle. So in order to catch as many little wizards wandering around the castle at night as possible, he not only had to patrol the castle, but also had to act separately from Mrs. Norris.

After Filch left, Ivy just sat in the dim light of the corridor on the fourth floor, without casting any shadow on the ground.

It was already late, and even the professors' night patrols would not last until the late night. Ivy was about to pack up and leave when he heard a strange noise in the quiet corridor.

That was the sound of leather soles stepping on the floor. Although the owner of the shoes tried to handle them gently, he still accidentally made a noise.

"There's no one here..." The voice sounded like a whisper, not far from Ivy. He was very familiar with the owner of the voice, it was Harry.

"Malfoy isn't here either?" asked the other member of the magic triangle, the red-haired Ronald Weasley, "Should we wait for him here?"

"I must have been crazy to crawl out of bed and follow you guys here on this adventure!" Hermione's voice was obviously filled with suppressed anger. No one would have thought that these Gryffindors still had the energy to go out for a night out after a day of high-intensity activities.

"That's because you can't just watch the House Cup being taken away by Slytherin." Harry advised, "This is our last chance. Don't you want to see Professor McGonagall laugh out loud?"

Professor McGonagall always has a serious expression. All Gryffindor students are curious about what she looks like when she laughs. Everyone agrees that if they can interrupt Slytherin's seven consecutive house cup titles, they will be able to see Professor McGonagall's hidden side.

"Huff..." Hermione took a deep breath and exhaled, "If we get expelled, don't blame me for not warning you... Let's review the plan again..."

"Are you serious? Even in a place like this?" Ron was furious. He was angry that Hermione didn't trust them.

Hermione ignored him. Harry had already begun to repeat his plan in a low voice: "We provoked Malfoy at the Quidditch awards ceremony, he should be here. We now need a professor or someone else to deduct points from Slytherin, and Ivy cannot be present when this happens."

"Yes, yes..." Ron repeated weakly, "So I'm going to lure old Filch's cat, Hermione's going to hold Ivy back, and then you're left alone with the Invisibility Cloak to face Malfoy."

"Remember the words we agreed on, Harry?" Hermione was still trying to fill in the gaps, "'We are not here to find the Philosopher's Stone, we are here to duel with Malfoy...' Use these words to steady Malfoy, and after receiving Ron's signal, put on the Invisibility Cloak and enter the room with the three-headed dog... The three-headed dog can't see through your Invisibility Cloak, right?"

"No, that's not right!" Harry suddenly interrupted in a low voice. "Except for us, no one in the castle knows that the Philosopher's Stone was hidden in that room. All I have to do is tell Malfoy: 'I just want to do it again where I defeated you last time, but this time there are no helpers or witnesses, just the two of us.' Haha, he must be shaking with fear!"

"Although Professor Victor has taught dueling lessons to several grades, we are still a long way from achieving that level! Harry, you have to be careful of his magic dragon." Hermione said worriedly, "Just think about Neville's hat and hair!"

"It's not like I have to actually duel him." Harry smiled optimistically.

"Don't have to duel with anyone? Scarhead Potter?" Another voice suddenly came from the end of the corridor. It was Malfoy.

The Iron Triangle hiding in the Invisibility Cloak and Ivy hiding in the Disillusionment Charm were both looking at Malfoy who walked out from the corner, watching the expression on his face change from smug to shocked.

"What the hell!" Malfoy stared at the empty corridor in a daze, "I clearly heard Potter's voice! But there's no one here!"

It seems that Malfoy's original intention was to scare Harry, but he didn't expect that although Harry and the others were discussing how to deal with Malfoy, they didn't take off their invisibility cloaks, because according to their estimation, Malfoy, who came from the Slytherin dungeon, should have been slower. Just like the duel that took place in the trophy display room last semester, Malfoy was late last time.

"There's no one here, maybe they ran away." Malfoy didn't come by himself. Although he left behind Goyle and Crabbe who would only be in the way, that didn't mean he would come to the appointment by himself.

Among all the first-year Slytherin students, Malfoy is not the only restless guy.

The iron triangle hiding under the invisibility cloak covered their mouths. It was not what they expected. The person who came was not Ivy as they expected, but another troublesome person from Slytherin - Cassandra.

Last semester, Cassandra and Malfoy both wanted to have a good relationship with Ivy. No, it would be more accurate to say that ever since they saw Ivy showing off his prowess in the Slytherin common room and sweeping away a group of senior students, no one in Slytherin house wanted to have a good relationship with him.

But only a few people succeeded in doing this. After inviting Ivy to Malfoy Manor for Christmas and giving her Voldemort's Horcruxes and 7 Nimbus 2001s, the Malfoy family was considered to have established a connection with Ivy.

Thanks to this relationship, Malfoy's status in Slytherin has risen. Although everyone thinks that it is the credit of his father Lucius, as a member of Slytherin, no one will show their secret contempt for Malfoy on their face, except Cassandra.

Because this girl was braver, not only did Ivy leave a black magic mark on her, but she also became his conjurer by mistake. The close connection between her and the master became her confidence to show off her power. Although she was always as obedient as a little lamb in front of Ivy, she became more aggressive in front of other Slytherins, and her sarcasm and meanness were exactly the same as Snape.

"So this is your duel game?" Cassandra said with a proud smile, glancing at Malfoy. "Being fooled by a few Gryffindors? I remember someone came to show me 'how to defeat the famous Harry Potter' instead of staring blankly at an empty corridor."

Malfoy's face quickly darkened, but he would not admit that this was his own failure. Instead, he attributed the cause to the shortcomings of his opponent: "I didn't expect that Gryffindor, who always boasts of being brave, actually has only cowards."

Harry almost couldn't help but lift up his invisibility cloak and rush out, but Hermione stopped him. She stretched out her hand and gestured for Harry to observe for a while.

"What are you going to do?" Malfoy asked. "Since Scarhead is a coward, we'd better go back to the dormitory as soon as possible. I think they must have gone to see the professor!"

Cassandra was obviously not going to return empty-handed. Rather, ever since she had obtained a portion of Ivy's power, she had long wanted to experiment with it, and the corridor arranged by Dumbledore and the professors was the perfect place for her to make a big fuss.

"Let them do what they want, but I won't return empty-handed." Cassandra walked to the end of the corridor, where there was a closed door.

"Wait!" Malfoy took two steps forward to stop her. He still remembered the hot and smelly three-headed dog in that room. "You are crazy! You don't know what you are facing! You will die!"

"No." Cassandra didn't look back or stop. "Dumbledore has removed the truly deadly things inside. That's what he said." "But..." Malfoy frowned. Thanks to his boasting in the common room, almost all Slytherins knew that he would have a duel with Potter tonight. In other words, everyone knew that Cassandra followed him on a night outing. If he went back alone, there was no need to think about what kind of venom those little snakes would spray.

"If you are scared, just hide under the quilt or recall the warm arms of your mother. I won't laugh at you." Cassandra's words themselves were sarcastic.

Malfoy pursed his lips, his face pale. He had never been a courageous child. The reason he hadn't left yet was just because of his pride. He muttered, "If anything happens to me, Dumbledore won't be able to continue working at Hogwarts! You know, my father is the school director!"

Cassandra rolled her eyes. She originally wanted to get some information from Malfoy about what was in the room at the end of the corridor, but all the time Malfoy was just bragging about how brave he was and how shameless Scarhead Potter was. Apart from the fact that there was a three-headed dog behind the door, she knew almost nothing about the place.

"Shut up, bragging won't help at all. If you don't plan to go in, just wait here. But if you are caught by the professor, don't give me away." Cassandra didn't know what she could do. Apart from the magic energy explosion and the heart-breaking bone-cutting, she didn't have much to rely on. As for Malfoy, at least he had a magic ceramic dragon given by Ivy, which was half a combat unit, so it should be quite useful. After all, Malfoy could rely on yelling to attract the attention of the three-headed dog, and the dragon could breathe fire.

"..." Malfoy's mind was now full of the three-headed dog behind the door. He really didn't have the energy to argue any more. He reached his hand into his robe, rubbed it for a while, and took out a nightcap.

In response to his gentle call, a shiny black little dragon emerged from the nightcap.

Cassandra nodded secretly. This was the effect she wanted when she brought Malfoy out. Aerial units were really amazing.

The two Slytherins and the dragon were gradually approaching where Harry and the others were, and the three of them didn't know what to do, because none of this was in their plan. It can be said that except for inviting Malfoy here, everything else was beyond Harry's control.

The Gryffindor trio carefully moved to the wall, fearing that they would accidentally bump into the Slytherins in the corridor. The invisibility cloak only made them appear to disappear, but it did not really lose their collision volume.

Fortunately, there was no danger and both parties passed safely.

But Harry felt that he couldn't just watch them enter the door, so he made a bold decision. He left the invisibility cloak to his two friends and rushed out.

"Hey!" Harry shouted, and the two Slytherins, who were already extremely nervous, turned their heads suddenly and almost let out an uncontrollable scream.

"Potter! What on earth are you playing at?" Malfoy growled, "We are on a night tour, are you trying to attract the professor on night watch?"

Ha, the professor is watching here.

Ivy almost wanted some popcorn. He didn't expect these little wizards to be so interesting.

"I'm here to duel. Why, the honorable Malfoy doesn't dare to face me alone, and has brought a helper?" Harry tried hard to calm himself, but when he saw the little dragon tilting its head on Malfoy's shoulder, he couldn't help but think of Ron's poor finger bitten by Norberta.

"I don't have time to play house games with you." Cassandra said unhappily. There have been too many accidents today. She just wanted to test her ability, but she couldn't even find a qualified target. "You have wasted too much of my time. If you don't plan to go in, Malfoy, then I will go by myself."

In fact, Malfoy was happy to see Harry show up, because he finally had a reason not to face the damn three-headed dog. Even Scarhead Potter with three heads was much cuter in his opinion than the three-headed dog.

But Malfoy's happiness came quickly and went away even faster.

Because Harry said, "Yes, our duel is just a child's play. So, Malfoy. Don't you dare to play something more interesting with me!"

Cassandra curled the corners of her mouth. Things were starting to get interesting.

Malfoy's eyes widened, trying desperately to stop Harry from saying anything else with his eyes.

"Let's see who can get through that room at the end of the corridor first!" said Harry.

Malfoy closed his eyes in pain, but Cassandra laughed out loud. What's wrong with having one more cannon fodder? She never thought that the famous Harry Potter was a real dark wizard. He was lucky to escape from Voldemort.

"Do you dare? Could it be that the heroic Master Malfoy is just a coward who talks to himself?" Harry continued to challenge.

"Well...just wait and see..." Malfoy said reluctantly, but his momentum was much weaker than Harry's.

"Do you think I'll let you face the two of them alone? Two Slytherins? Harry?" Another voice sounded in the corridor. It was Ron, who stood in the corridor with a flushed face.

"Ron!" Harry exclaimed in surprise, and then immediately became worried. "You don't have to take this risk with me..."

"Great! So Scarhead Potter also has a follower!" Malfoy seemed to have found his courage all of a sudden, because in his opinion, Weasley, as a pure-blood scum, was obviously an absolute inferior person. His family was so poor that they could only wear the same pants, so he absolutely could not perform worse than Ron.

"Harry doesn't need a follower!" Hermione had emerged from under the invisibility cloak at some point and stood beside her friend. "It's you, Malfoy, who's more like Miss Volley's follower."

Malfoy began to regret not bringing the cumbersome Goyle and the dull-witted Crabbe. At least the two of them were no worse than the skinny monkey from Gryffindor in terms of presentability.

Ivy was almost laughing madly while sitting in the armchair, the scene before him was so dramatic, if the next plot was that the students of the two colleges sought cooperation in confrontation with each other, it would be exactly the same as Hollywood superhero movies 20 or 30 years later. There was no essential difference between those superheroes with the power to destroy the world and these little wizards.

If Ivy hadn't studied magic for several days and hadn't stayed up day and night for several nights, he might have been tempted to continue reading.

But now, he is sleepy, so he has to play the role of a professor!
No one would really like to watch a few young wizards who can't even cast a 3rd level spell bravely breaking into the novice tutorial of Hogwarts, right?
No way? No way?
Some people actually like to watch it.

A large, bony hand pressed on Ivy's shoulder. He turned around and saw Dumbledore, who was also under the Disillusionment Curse.

The old man with white beard smiled and shook his head at him, silently stopping his action.

It's hard to divide it, so I made it into one chapter.
