Chapter 593 The Professors Were Deeply Shocked
Chapter 593 The Professors Were Deeply Shocked
The dilapidated stone door that appeared in the Chamber of Secrets after Harry Voldemort's death is identical to the stone archway in the Hall of Death of the Department of Mysteries at the Ministry of Magic.
In a sense, it is the entrance between the real world and the spirit world. No one knows how long that stone archway has existed in London. Rather than saying that the Ministry of Magic suspended its offices under the White House, it's more accurate to say that they did so to conceal the gate leading to the spirit world.
The magic known to wizards had no effect on it, and all living things that passed through the veil would never appear again. For wizards who possessed magic, it was a mystery among mysteries, an absolute taboo that could not be known.
But now, not only has that spirit gate appeared before Ivy, but a pale, soul-summoning hand has also reached out from behind the curtain, taking Harry Potter's soul.
Ivy was certain that only Harry Potter's soul had broken free from that body; Voldemort had certainly escaped in some other way.
"Another Horcrux?" Ivy pondered Voldemort's escape methods. Apart from Horcruxes, it was indeed difficult to think of any other way, given Voldemort's limited vision. "But there was no remnant soul with black smoke after the body was destroyed... I couldn't see anything with my arcane vision and divine eyesight... Perhaps it's because Voldemort's Horcruxes have been improved again?"
Regardless of the truth of the matter, Voldemort was severely weakened.
He used Harry Potter's body to cultivate a large amount of influence in the British wizarding world. The trip to Diagon Alley allowed Ivy to see the standardized wizarding world and the Gryffindor wizards with the "Snake-Lion" insignia on their cuffs.
Harry Voldemort reached the pinnacle of prestige by defeating the Dark Lord and saving the wizarding world, causing the Death Eaters, who were originally under his command, to go underground, thus completing a tacitly agreed-upon scheme to reverse right and wrong and collude with each other.
Now, if Harry Potter's body were simply left to dry in the sun, the Papillons and Death Eaters, who were originally subordinate to Harry Voldemort, would immediately split into two factions.
Even if Voldemort were to resurrect again using an improved Horcrux, he would no longer be able to gain the assistance of the white magic forces in this timeline. Harry Potter's soul has already been released and gone to the spirit world. No matter what form Voldemort takes upon his resurrection, he could never be Harry Potter, the headmaster of Hogwarts.
Last time, Voldemort was blown to pieces by his own Killing Curse and it took him more than ten years to make a comeback. The situation is similar this time. Even if he has experience, it will still take him three to five years, right?
If the improved Horcruxes can significantly shorten Voldemort's weakened state after resurrection, it would at least give Ivy some undisturbed free time. Once the problem of dissociation is solved and the souls of the dead can be pulled back from the spirit world, Ivy can use resurrection spells to create a large number of enemies for Voldemort, at which point there would be no need to entangle with him anymore.
Let Dumbledore and the trio worry about it on this timeline.
This isn't Ivy's original timeline, so whatever happens to him has nothing to do with him.
However, in order to solve the problem of dissociative identity disorder, the Grim Reaper of the magical world becomes an unavoidable topic. But since Ivy didn't see divinity in the hand reaching out from the Spirit Gate, the question arises: is the Grim Reaper a physical divine being or merely a conceptual symbol?
Fortunately, Voldemort left Ivy with all three Deathly Hallows, so perhaps she could get some inspiration from these famous magical artifacts, which are said to have been made by the Grim Reaper himself.
Ivy waved her wand, and Harry Potter's decapitated body floated over. After removing the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone ring, and the Invisibility Cloak, Ivy then addressed the other two living beings in the Chamber of Secrets.
“Voldemort is temporarily dead. Do you have anywhere to go, Orminus?” Ivy cast a healing spell on the blind old man. “If not, I’ll hand you over to the Vice-Headmistress of Hogwarts. Minerva McGonagall is a trustworthy person, though old-fashioned, she is very righteous.”
"You...killed him?" The blind old man shakily got up from the ground; he hadn't stood up in a long time.
"For now, Voldemort has some ways to make a comeback, but at least this school is no longer under his control." Ivy used Parsleyan to awaken the basilisk Voldemort had raised, and in a few words, she lured it onto the pirate ship.
Putting aside the unique charm Aviana cultivated through his interactions with many different magical creatures, he was also the first human to look directly into the eyes of the Basilisk. Coupled with the natural affinity he gained from speaking Parsleyan, it's not hard to foresee that this young snake would agree to submit to him.

"what--"
Screams and gasps echoed through the Great Hall of Hogwarts, and the faculty and staff who were discussing the start of the school year all wore expressions of horror.
The reason was simple: a head with its eyes still open burst in from outside the door. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be the head of Harry Potter, the headmaster of Hogwarts and the savior of the wizarding world.
"Peeves!" After a brief moment of panic, the professors in the hall were furious, with the Gryffindor professors, led by Headmaster McGonagall, shouting the troublemaker's name.
The heavy auditorium doors suddenly slammed open to both sides, crashing against the walls with a loud bang that drowned out the noise inside the auditorium.
Standing at the door was a very strange group: a young and handsome wizard, a withered and thin blind old wizard whose wrinkles could crush a vixen, and a large emerald green snake following behind them.
"Nice to meet you, professors of Hogwarts." Ivy nodded in greeting.
With a wave of his wand, the headless corpse floating beside him was immediately placed on a dining table.
“As you can see, the headmaster of Hogwarts, Harry Potter, is dead.” Ivy’s deerskin boots tapped lightly on the Great Hall floor. “Yes, I did it.”
“Who are you, you devil!” Professor Flitwick, the shortest dueling champion, stepped forward and asked at the top of his lungs. Ivy glanced at him, surprised that the Ravenclaw headmaster was the first to ask: “It would be too much trouble to explain in detail. You can just call me ‘fifth-year student’.”
A gasp rippled through the crowd once more, many professors drawing their wands and staring intently at the young man before them. According to rumors that had circulated for a century, the first Dark Lord's favorite spell was the Killing Curse. During his year at Hogwarts, he killed more than ten times the number of wizards murdered by the three Dark Lords, Voldemort, and his Death Eaters.
Not to mention the ancient magic that was rumored to be incredibly powerful, the Hogwarts faculty and staff were on high alert. Hagrid, the tallest professor of magizoology, even put his hand under a long table, ready to flip it over and start a fight at any moment.
“Very good. It seems you all know me to some extent.” Ivy nodded in satisfaction, pointing to Harry Potter’s body on the long table. “Then you should know that I am not a man who kills innocent people indiscriminately…”
“What exactly do you want, you devil!” Minerva McGonagall took a deep breath and stood firmly beside Professor Flitwick. “We will never compromise!”
“At least let me finish what I have to say, Professor McGonagall.” Ivy sighed. Although he couldn’t empathize without using magic, he could roughly guess how impactful his arrival would be, after all, the Hogwarts headmaster’s body was right there on the table next to him.
"Don't try to seduce us! I'll avenge Harry!" Hagrid roared, his voice trembling with tears, as he swung a long table, ready to fight Ivy. Although it was practically a sneak attack, the [Sword Saint's] reflexes were never to be underestimated. Ivy pointed, and Hagrid's massive body froze in place, the long table he'd swung suspended in mid-air. Ivy glanced at it and realized it belonged to Slytherin.
“Sigh.” Ivy decided to keep it short. “Harry Potter is Voldemort. Yes, the one who attended Hogwarts, the third Dark Lord named Tom Marvolo Riddle, who was later known as Voldemort the Man of Unknown.”
"No way—" Before the faculty and staff could finish their questioning, Ivy snapped her fingers, silencing everyone in front of her.
He continued, "This involves a dark magic called Horcruxes—I saw Horace Sgrahorn in the crowd. If anyone is curious about the specifics, they can ask him. After all, he's the one who leaked the method to Tom back then. The creation of Horcruxes involves the splitting of the soul, and as long as a Horcrux remains in the world, the original body will not suffer death."
"Voldemort's repeated comebacks were almost all due to Horcruxes. However, among these Horcruxes, one was the most special: Harry himself. Due to his mother's sacrifice, Voldemort's Killing Curse failed to harm Harry, instead blowing himself to pieces. Before this, he had created Horcruxes many times, so his soul was extremely unstable. From then on, a small piece of his soul flew into the young Harry Potter, making him a living Horcrux."
"You probably know more about what happened after that than I do, so I won't go into details. In short, Harry Potter became Voldemort, and I killed him. However, Voldemort wasn't completely eliminated; he still has Horcruxes hidden somewhere in the world, and he could return at any time."
Although they were frozen in place by Ivy's mass paralysis spell, the Hogwarts professors' eyes remained active. Some of their multicolored pupils were as stiff as dead fish, while others were swinging like pendulums, clearly showing their utter shock.
Ivy nodded in satisfaction, then stepped aside to reveal Ormenes Gaunt and the basilisk, whose eyes remained closed. "This can be considered an indirect witness," she said. "Ormenes Gaunt is Voldemort's great-great-uncle and also his personal prisoner. This basilisk is a creature bred by Voldemort, and judging from its size, it's something he did during his tenure as headmaster of Hogwarts. You all know about the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets and the panic it will cause, so I'll handle it. As for Ormenes, Hogwarts will take care of him."
"Alright, I've said my piece. Please make yourselves at home." Ivy waved his hand again to dispel the immobilization spell, then walked through the hall upstairs. He was going to the Room of Requirement to search if the "fifth-year students" in this timeline had left anything behind.
As they watched Ivy's figure disappear above the stairs, the professors in the auditorium immediately erupted into a heated argument that could have blown the roof off.
"Horace! Is what he said true? Dumbledore and Potter never mentioned any Horcruxes!" Professor Flitwick asked sharply.
“Those were…little mistakes I made when I was young…” The Potions professor, who loved jackfruit, turned pale. He had thought that no one would know about this after Voldemort’s death. “Harry and Dumbledore both asked me for that memory…Yes, Voldemort planned to make six Horcruxes, or seven if you include Harry…”
"You're already going to believe him? He killed Harry!" Hagrid's wailing was practically a roar.
“If what he said is true, then it’s not just Harry, or rather, it’s not just Harry…” Professor McGonagall patted Hagrid’s shoulder reassuringly, then turned to her colleagues and said seriously, “We must summon the Papillons and prepare for both possibilities—no one knows what the truth really is… With our small force, we are no match for the ‘first Dark Lord’…”
“And the Ministry of Magic!” Professor Sprout added. “Almost every official institution has the Paecilom Lions involved, not to mention the exceptionally strict censorship of dark wizards… I originally thought it was a system designed to proactively maintain stability in the magical world, but now it seems…”
“Could this be one of that person’s tricks?” Astronomy Professor Sinister asked from another angle. “What if he just wants to cause a huge rift in the magical world—to exhaust our energy?”
“Let the Minister of Magic worry about that…” Professor McGonagall rubbed her head. “School starts soon, and we’re still not done with our preparations… and there’s the Sorting Hat…”
"What happened? Is Hogwarts still going to start school?" Professor Hooch, the flight instructor, asked incredulously.
“There is no safer place than Hogwarts…” Professor McGonagall glanced at Harry’s body, which was still lying on the long table, and said nothing more.
“Mr. Gaunt, please come with me. You may be spending some time in the school hospital for the next while…” Professor Sprout took the initiative to guide Ormenus Gaunt. “If you are indeed Voldemort’s great-great-uncle, then perhaps you could tell us about the ‘Fifth Year’s student. Judging by our calculations, you should have heard of him, right? Ah, I forgot that the Gaunt family doesn’t usually attend Hogwarts… Are you a graduate of Hogwarts?”

Looking at the mess in the Always-Available room, Ivy helplessly shrugged: "What a waste."
No matter how magical this room is, it can't stop someone from playing with fire in it, and what's more, it's extremely dangerous Fiery Blaze!
It seems that finding the "fifth-grade student" in this timeline is more troublesome than Ivy thought, otherwise Voldemort wouldn't have imprisoned Orminus for so long.
As for whether Orminis would expose his identity as a "fifth-grade student," Ivy wasn't worried at all. He was going to make a quick getaway once he resolved his dissociative identity disorder; why bother with anything else?
