From Hogwarts to Strixhaven.

Chapter 672 Equal Rights and Responsibilities
Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Unfortunate rumors about this course have permeated Hogwarts' teaching for decades, but no professor present could have predicted that its reputation would spread beyond the world.
The headmaster and deputy headmaster of Hogwarts exchanged a glance, and Professor McGonagall spoke first: "Professor Doom... you're not here to see the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, are you?"
“Of course not, I have a very easy-going teaching assistant.” Ivy breathed a sigh of relief. In fact, he had just realized that although he had become the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at the Straihaven Central Campus, he had never taught a single class. All the courses were taught by Voldemort’s Scraggly Skull. To be honest, thinking about this fact did reassure him a lot.
"Your teaching assistant has nothing to do with Tom, does he?" Dumbledore asked softly, his comical half-moon-shaped glasses flashing.
"Voldemort is completely gone, not even a trace left. As for the Tom I created... you can think of him as a Hinkpunk born in a swamp. They do have some connection to the unfortunate souls who died in the mud and sewage, but not much." Ivy used the content of Hogwarts' native Defense Against the Dark Arts course as an analogy.
“Alright, Professor Dumbledore, Professor Doom’s friends are still waiting in the Headmaster’s office.” Professor McGonagall interrupted their conversation, gesturing to the other people waiting in the side room. “I’d like to take these esteemed knights to see our Pegasus first. Come with me, ladies and gentlemen. The event after the ranch will be a luncheon. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let me know in advance.”
After gesturing to Ivy, Reggie put his hands behind his back and led the delegation to follow Professor McGonagall.
"How's the Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts? Do they still change professors frequently?" Ivy waved to Quintor, the little elephant, signaling him to follow her and the old wizard.
“It’s not good at all. Our Defense Against the Dark Arts professor always seems to lack a bit of luck.” Dumbledore sighed. “Professor Snape’s second term had a wonderful start. He was almost perfectly peaceful for the whole year, and the atmosphere in the castle was wonderful. Unfortunately, while leading the team for the final exams, right here in your White Tower, he suffered a serious magical accident that forced him to take a year off.”
Ivy knew perfectly well how many strange spells she had set up in the White Tower, so she simply offered a moment of silence for Snape's fate. Since he had no intention of accepting the Trialer's fate, the venerable Headmaster of Slytherin was at least out of danger.
"The person who will take over his job is Mr. Potter, James Potter, whom you have met. He has agreed to temporarily leave his job at Moonface Magic Unlimited and join our teaching staff."
The three of them ascended the long staircase of Hogwarts, attracting the attention of countless young wizards and portraits. The students' gazes were primarily fixed on the baby elephant; these young wizards studying at Hogwarts had only ever seen goblins, the most unusual magical and intelligent races they knew, and they were everywhere in Gringotts. While the centaurs in the Forbidden Forest were physically closer, very few had actually seen them.
Since today's goal was to visit another magic school, Quintorli wore a well-fitting Strychnine School robe. The red and white robe stood out against the plain robes of Hogwarts, making it immediately clear that he was also a student.
"But I must say, Mr. Potter clearly prefers Quidditch to Defense Against the Dark Arts. Last year's Quidditch season was probably the most exciting one in fifty years, with every game going down to the wire. It's said that the Irish Kenmare Red Falcons, the English Chadley Cannons, and the Scottish Montrose Magpies are all interested in signing players who performed well that season!"
"The Quidditch Club is recruiting at Hogwarts?" Ivy raised an eyebrow. Although he didn't follow Quidditch closely, he knew the sport's significance in the wizarding world. Apart from Viktor Krum, who had represented the Bulgarian national team in the Quidditch World Cup, he had hardly heard of any professional players still in school. "Judging by the timeline, it was last year, right? So, did anyone succeed in the end?"
"Miss Johnson became a full member of the Chadley Cannons at the beginning of this year, and I wrote her several letters to encourage her! I really hope Miss Johnson can turn the tide for the Chadley Cannons." It seems that Dumbledore's focus in life is really not on teaching anymore; he remembers this kind of entertainment news in the wizarding world very clearly.
Ivy knew who the "Miss Johnson" he was talking about was: Angelina Johnson, a member of Gryffindor, a classmate of the Weasley twins, and the object of their affections.
"Alright, then why did Mr. Potter resign?" Ivy asked again, showing concern for the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. "It couldn't be because of Quidditch, could it?"
Dumbledore sighed. “Not quite, but pretty much. Mr. Black brought him a new broom from the Moonface Company—Mr. Potter was practically the best test pilot in the Moonface. The broom was too fast and too unstable, so it broke apart over our Quidditch pitch. And Mr. Potter, unfortunately, crashed into the Whomping Willow…”
"Pretzels." After an awkward silence, Dumbledore read out the command for the Headmaster's office.
"So this year's Defense Against the Dark Arts professor is..." Ivy watched as the Dripping Stone Beaked Beasts parted in front of him, breaking the heavy silence.
“It’s my brother, Aberforth,” Dumbledore said in as cheerful a tone as possible. “He asked for it himself. Perhaps he was thinking of passing the Hog’s Head to Ariana? But so far, he hasn’t made any progress.”
Fortunately, he made no progress. Ivy couldn't imagine that Ariana Dumbledore, that troublemaker, could stand obediently behind the bar wiping glasses.
"Lord Doom..." The first to greet her was Ivy's sorcerer, the queen-like Cassandra Worre, but before she could even stand still, everyone else in the headmaster's office swarmed over.
“Ivy! It’s been a long time!” Draco Malfoy’s hairline seemed to have receded even further. Ivy subtly looked away from the candlelight dapples on his forehead. “As soon as I heard you were back, I sent a letter to my father! He must be busy preparing a feast right now!”
“Ivy! Can you do an exclusive interview for the Hogwarts Herald? The equality movement for werewolves and house-elves, and even other intelligent races in the wizarding world, needs your support!” Hermione Granger, with the help of two tall, thin henchmen, managed to get a good position and almost buried her head in Dumbledore’s arms, who was standing at the front.
Looking at his classmates who had matured considerably, Ivy suddenly felt a little disheartened. Their world was still confined to the small realm of the magical world, while he himself had already witnessed a far wider landscape than this cramped magical world.
“I think you should sit down and chat. There’s still some time before lunchtime.” Dumbledore waved his hand and conjured several chairs, inviting the graduating young wizards to sit down one by one.
“Yes, we should definitely talk slowly.” Ivy opened the Grimoire of Destruction and pulled out a large bed, making the already cramped principal’s office even more confined.
Two people lay on the bed, a man and a woman, breathing steadily and looking peaceful, as if they were sleeping soundly. "They are..." Cassandra couldn't help but stand up from her chair.
“Your parents, the Worleys.” Ivy pulled out another small bottle containing some flowing silver-gray mist, “and your memories.”
Cassandra uncorked the bottle, took a deep breath amidst the puzzled looks of the crowd, and then closed her eyes to ponder.
Ivy then took the opportunity to guide the Worleys' souls back into their bodies, allowing the Worley family to reunite across worlds and time.
“Cassandra…?” The woman, who bore a striking resemblance to Cassandra but was more composed and quiet, sat up in bed and immediately noticed her daughter, who was crying. “You… have grown taller?”
“Wait… Sweetheart… I remember I’m dead?” Mr. Worley touched his and his wife’s faces in disbelief. “Is this really our daughter?”
Cassandra opened her eyes and, with tears in her eyes, hugged the two adults who were still confused about the situation.
"It's a bit complicated to explain, but if you don't mind, I can explain slowly." Ivy met the curious eyes of the crowd, sighed slightly, and began to miss Tom's chatter.
—Storytelling time for legendary spellcasters, sun-divine beings, and mythical dragon liches—
"I've become Voldemort!" Harry exclaimed in shock, as if he'd just drunk a whole barrel of aged cannon whiskey sold by the Blackhearted Goblin.
Ron reached out and patted his best friend on the shoulder: "Obviously, being killed by you is much better than becoming Voldemort. But don't worry, that happened in another world..."
“That explains it…” Dumbledore seemed to have expected this. “I thought you used the Time-Turner, but it turns out it was Voldemort from another world… So, you really did write your name in the Book of Admission? And you were the one who cast the Confusion Charm on Headmaster Black’s portrait? The Time-Turner was practically the only thing I was worried about. I’ve been unsure whether I should tell you about it… That little thing’s destructive power is extraordinary; the Department of Mysteries has a long list of names that have disappeared from the world because of it…”
Ivy stared intently at the old headmaster for a long time. Dumbledore was indeed a responsible educator. Perhaps ever since Ivy enrolled, he had become suspicious of this guy whose background was so vague, yet who claimed to be a Hogwarts student from a hundred years ago?
However, it was precisely because he thought of the time converter that he acquiesced to many of Ivy's actions.
A wizard from a hundred years ago has disappeared in modern times. Who knows what impact this will have on Hogwarts today? Maybe the entire school will vanish.
In Ivy's story, wasn't it precisely because Voldemort used the Time-Turner that the forces of good in another magical world suffered a complete defeat? However, it was also because Voldemort used the Time-Turner that he died in the distant past.
"By the way, Ivy, what are you doing now? We haven't heard from you in ages." Malfoy abruptly changed the subject. Although in Ivy's story, almost the entire wizarding world was a puppet of Harry Voldemort, those Death Eaters who didn't appear in the story were obviously not doing much better. He didn't want the other people in the headmaster's office to remember that the Malfoy family had once been one of Voldemort's followers, even if his parents, at Ivy's behest, had stabbed Voldemort in the back.
"In short, I'm in another world, preparing for a war against demons," Ivy said calmly, taking a sip of tea.
“Wow, cool!” Ron was the first to speak. “That sounds like something Merlin would do.”
“Fighting demons is never a fun thing, Mr. Weasley,” Quintorli, sitting behind Ivy, suddenly spoke up. “They swarmed out of the gaping hole in the World’s Lament like locusts, taking over the Caledonians’ former home, Sakorri. They eat people, kill people, commit all sorts of evil… just destruction for the sake of destruction. Many people have been displaced and driven mad… The gods and heroes have failed time and time again… Professor Doom is saving the world, not playing some childish hero. Many people are counting on him to survive…”
Kuntoli's voice wasn't loud, but it conveyed a quiet cruelty that these students couldn't comprehend.
Ron's face flushed red, then turned pale. He stammered, "Sorry, I don't know..."
"I come from another world, from the University of Strelhaven in Akevivo, and I am Professor Doom's apprentice." The little elephant gave a brief self-introduction. "Many people in Strelhaven have answered Professor Doom's call to go to Glarion and contribute their strength to the cause of justice and goodness. I think..."
“Little Kun,” Ivy stopped Kuntorli from continuing, “just like people, the world has its own destiny. You can’t ask unrelated people to contribute to Glarion. What we did in Stryhaven was simply to provide your classmates with a field study opportunity. They won’t be undertaking any direct combat missions, and everyone will receive appropriate compensation.”
"While lofty goals can be inspiring, you must also be wary of them. Too many ambitious people use lofty ideals to pursue their own interests. As a Planeswalker, your words and actions can affect many worlds, so you must improve your ability to discern."
The baby elephant's ears drooped again: "I just can't bear to see those people suffer... I have the power, I should be able to do more."
“No, Xiao Kun, you’re wrong.” Ivy rarely states a person’s right or wrong directly. Usually, he uses a more subtle approach, such as sarcasm or metaphor. “Power and responsibility are never equal. Rights and responsibilities are equal. Unconditional help will only turn those who are helped into people who are waiting to die. Helping them find ways to change their situation is more important.”
"This may be the most important lesson of your Planeswalker career, Quinn. I require that before you lend a helping hand to someone, you must agree on an appropriate reward, and you can only help those who explicitly ask for or seek help."
