"Holy crap, these Earthlings are really wicked!"

The phrase popped into Ganser's head instantly, and his gaze towards Martin changed.

Martin gave a gentle smile. "Don't mistake me for some schemer. Finding Deng Shou was your own idea; I was just going along with it. Did you think you wouldn't have gone to find Yao Shi Huang if I hadn't interfered?"

Martin saw through Ganther's thoughts at a glance and said he wouldn't take the blame.

“I sought out the Phoenix to prevent the arrival of the Darkest Night, not to be used by you to divide the Green Lantern Corps.”

Ganther was so anxious he was jumping up and down.

He was much smarter than Hal; he saw through Martin's plan at a glance.

With the appearance of the Blue Lantern and Green Lantern legions, it would be best if the Green Lantern legion obediently changed itself.

However, this possibility is extremely slim. A more likely scenario is that two different viewpoints emerge internally, leading to conflict.

Without external assistance, there is a possibility of reconciliation through the mediation of the guardians.

But now, the most talented Green Lantern, Hal, and the Green Lantern Ion Shark are both on Martin's side.

How could they possibly watch the Green Lantern Corps go back to the way it was in the past?
Everyone here is a genius, and everyone has their own plans for the future. There's no question of who should submit to whom.

"That's not quite right."

Martin looked down on Ganser's petty schemes.

This guy knows the Green Lantern Corps is in a bad state, but he still refuses to make any changes. He just goes and creates a new Blue Lantern Corps. Doesn't that mean the Green Lantern Corps' problems will reappear?
“If the problems with the Green Lantern Corps are not resolved, creating 100 more Green Lantern Corps won’t help. The unresolved problems will reappear and become more and more serious.”

"Moreover, I don't want the Green Lantern Corps, an organization with a glorious tradition, to be destroyed like this, which is why I'm discussing this with you."

Ganser turned his head away. "That's a nice thing to say."

Martin said sternly, "Do you think I'm joking? The seven Lamp Beasts are interconnected. If I go with the Ion Shark to find the other Lamp Beasts, what can you do to me?"

Upon hearing this, Ganser was shocked, as if he had been electrocuted, and stared at Martin in disbelief.

The Guardians, high above, used the Ion Shark to create a central energy battery and establish the Green Lantern Corps, without encountering any trouble.

This led them to believe that the Lantern Beasts were docile creatures that they could use at will.

But anyone with a modicum of common sense knows that this idea is completely wrong.

Even if the Lantern Beast is gentle, it has lived since the beginning of the universe, so how could it not have a temper at all?

The reason why the Ion Shark stayed obediently in the central energy battery was not because the machines built by the Guardians were particularly useful.

Rather, it was because Ion Shark couldn't bear to see so much sweat and blood shed by Green Lanterns go to waste, which is why he has always supported the Green Lanterns' actions in the universe.

For the guardians who have abandoned their emotions, the emotional connection between the Lantern Beasts and the Lantern Knights is something they cannot understand.

As Ganser's emotions gradually returned to normal, he realized how ridiculous the Guardians' past methods of controlling the Ion Shark had been.

This led him to focus more on spiritual resonance when searching for Yaoshihuang, and to place less emphasis on technology.

"What do you want?"

Ganser hung his head dejectedly, feeling that he had no other options in front of Martin.

The Lantern Beast is quite simple in a sense; as long as your ambition is firm, it will agree with you.

But if Martin bypasses Green Lantern and speaks directly to Ion Sand, no one can do anything about it.

Martin shook his head; Ganser's performance made him understand where the Green Lantern story came from.

"What I want is very simple: to resist weather-related invasions. As for what happens to the Green Lantern Corps in the future, that's your own business and has nothing to do with me."

"As for now, let me go see Yao Shihuang and Gai Zongxiao first, and then decide what to do next?"

In the original timeline, the Gandhi-like saintly approach of the Blue Lantern Legion and the charlatan-like demeanor of the Green Lantern Legion were things he could never accept.

We've all entered the space age, so why are we still using such a boring system? It's as backward as pre-modern times.

How can you possibly blow the Black Death Emperor's head off when you're with a bunch of lights like that?
Ganther led the way with his head down, handing over all his authority to Hal and ordering the soldiers to obey Hal's commands under the green light.

Then a portal leading to Yaoshihuang's location was opened.

With each step, a gust of wind whipped up yellow sand and rushed towards my face.

Martin held out his right hand to shield his eyes, squinting as he discerned hill-like terrain amidst the raging sandstorm.

Below the hills lie stretches of desert, where the sand on the surface constantly changes patterns as the wind blows, revealing the traces of the wind's passage.

Ganser floated up directly. "Be careful. The environment on this planet is extremely harsh. All the deserts are quicksand, and huge sandworms live underneath. They are very ferocious, with a huge mouth full of sharp teeth that can even tear apart steel."

Martin snapped his fingers, and a green light flickered, transforming into a disc beneath his feet that lifted him into the air.

"Humph!"

Seeing this, Ganser gave a small hum and then led the way.

"Since the beginning of creation, Yaoshihuang has been sleeping on this planet. Not a single bit of its power has leaked out, which has resulted in the planet's ecology remaining very primitive and no intelligent races have ever emerged."

"I found this place not long ago and, following the procedure I used to communicate with the Ion Shark, made initial contact with Yao Shihuang. Subsequently, someone in the universe responded to the power of hope. I then brought him here, and he should be meditating in the underground base right now."

Ganser rambled on and on, but received no response from Martin, who immediately turned his head to look behind him.

Then I was caught in a flash of dazzling green light.

"Go on, I'm listening. Who is that person who responded to the blue light of hope?"

Martin blinked and reached out to tease the ion shark, which was only the size of a fist.

This is a tiny clone of the Ion Shark, specially trained by Martin.

You've even managed to bring over the clone of the Ion Shark, what else can I say?

Ganser stared at the clone of the Ion Shark with eyes practically spitting fire. Without saying a word, he turned his head back and silently led the way.

For the first time, he realized that having emotions wasn't all a good thing.

At least for now, he's been angered by that bastard Martin several times, and he has nowhere to vent his anger but can only silently digest it all.

How could this young human be able to do something like this so easily?

When the guardians first encountered the Ion Shark, it took them hundreds of years of persistent pleading and persuasion before they finally developed a slight friendship with this luminous beast.

Martin and Ion Shark have become good friends after only meeting a few times.

It's true what they say, comparisons are odious. "If I weren't so unsure of this guy's true nature, I would have fought this human kid today and taught him the consequences of his careless boasting."

Ganser's stomach couldn't hold all the anger, so it rushed down his trachea into his mouth, making his face bulge.

Martin laughed heartily.

Although Ganser is an outlier among the Guardians, he still has a sense of superiority when it comes to Earth.

Although Oa's technology is indeed several levels more advanced than Earth's, in the fight against Darkseid, neither side is superior.

The Green Lantern Corps' Lanterns had no way to deal with Darkseid, and in the end, the Justice League had to step in and fight.

Martin used a series of tactics to provoke Ganser, all to make him realize this.

Although Earth as a whole cannot compare with Planet Oa, there is no difference between the two in terms of top-tier combat power.

If you're going to talk about cooperation, then talk it out properly. Don't try anything funny.

The ion shark waved its tentacles, circling around Martin. "Is it really necessary to be so angry with Ganser? He's not a stubborn person."

"Compared to the Guardians, Ganther is certainly not stubborn, but he's not much smarter either. His eyes are always looking into the depths of the universe, but he can't see what's happening right beneath his feet."

Martin knew Ganther all too well; he himself often made the same mistakes.

"They rely on their intelligence and always look down on others, thinking that everything in the world should operate according to their plan."

"Rational thinking is essential for creating the future, but this kind of rational thinking is by no means turning yourself into a machine and only adhering to the rigid logic that one plus one equals two."

The ion shark blew a bubble, and its tentacles swung back and forth.

He thought about how the Guardians had given up their emotions. "Yes, after the Guardians abandoned their emotions, they became more and more like machines, stubbornly planning everything according to the logic in their minds. That's why I value the Green Lanterns more and more, but when they get together, they seem to get more and more prone to getting stuck on trivial matters."

"Like begets like. Intelligent people together will only become more intelligent, and vice versa."

Martin chuckled. "When all the Green Lanterns gather together, the speed at which their intellect clashes can't keep up with the speed at which their arrogance inflates, resulting in more foolish things being done when there are more of them."

"Things will improve once we turn on the blue and green lights, animals. Little shark, it's up to you now."

Yao Shihuang and Gai Zongxiao were both seriously injured. The former was still in a deep sleep, while the latter had become an idiot and could no longer speak.

This is why the Blue Lantern and Green Lantern legions are both incredibly powerful.

The lantern beast was already flawed, and the person who created the lantern group was a genius, so it would be strange if the final result wasn't genius.

"Alright, now it's my turn! Yao Shihuang and Gai Zongxiao paid such a high price to pull me back from the brink of death back then, now it's my turn to repay them."

The ion shark got excited, its tentacles waving behind it at a speed like propellers, jumping and bouncing around Martin, unable to calm down.

Of the seven lamp beasts, the Ion Shark, the Radiant Phoenix, and the Changing Octopus, who represent positive emotions, have the best relationship, after all, they are sworn brothers.

The others are: the Predator is a yandere, the Parallax is a cowardly otaku, the Blood Slaughter Bull is a grumpy old man, and the Lust Python only has one sentence in its head: "They're all my fault."

"Here we are!"

Ganther suddenly stopped, interrupting Martin and the Ion Shark's conversation.

He floated in front of the hill, extended his right hand, and after the authentication scan, the hill split in the middle, and a steel gate slowly opened, revealing an elevator leading underground.

Martin followed Ganser into the elevator. They were almost at the bottom when the elevator doors opened. Before they even stepped out, a strong scent of incense wafted over them.

He said to Ganther, “Your base is quite Earth-like. I could smell a religious incense scent even before I entered.”

Ganther remained silent and simply walked forward.

Martin followed behind, and as soon as they stepped outside, he also frowned.

The corridor, filled with a sci-fi style, is covered with handwritten scriptures.

He leaned closer to look and saw only very strange alien script.

"Little shark, translate this for me!"

The Ion Shark twisted its body as it read the scriptures. "These are hymns praising God, telling how God guided the race of the Holy Ones out of the fate of the extinction of the stars."

Martin immediately took two steps back, as if he had bumped into something dirty. "God is really busy, even expanding into extraterrestrial business. But isn't this method a bit too low-level?"

The deeds of God should not only exist on Earth, but are also recorded in the histories of other satellite races. Although there are different images and versions, their core spirit is the same.

After all, God and heaven are there.

Although God is no longer involved in things now, he was still very active at the beginning of creation and left traces on other planets, which is not strange.

"What kind of nonsense is this? If you want to be a devout follower of God, why don't you go to Heaven for guidance? Why are you getting involved with the Lamp Beast?"

Martin looked at the handwritten scriptures and felt a headache coming on.

A Gandhi-like figure like the Assassin is more suited to be a friend than a leader.

The result of excessive complacency is excessive violence; the shift between extremes happens in an instant, without even giving you a chance to react.

Hope is essentially despair.

Those who fail to see this point often treat hope as something tangible, as if grasping at hope could solve all problems.

But this is just an illusion.

True hope is nothing more than an action that one is forced to take in despair.

A person who is not clear-headed is immersed in the illusion of false hope. Once reality punctures the shell of fantasy, they will immediately become an extreme madman.

"Little Shark, go contact Yao Shihuang now. I'm going to meet the people Ganse has chosen."

"Ok!"

The Ion Shark immediately created a second clone, following the power of the blue light of hope to find the sleeping Phoenix.

Martin followed Ganther through the underground base, which was decorated with many religious artifacts, and arrived at a large hall where they saw a blue-skinned alien.

Ganser explained, "This is the Holy Walker, the first intelligent life form to be recognized by the Blue Light of Hope."

The Holy Walkers wore uniforms similar to those of the Green Lantern Corps, except that they were blue.

He wore a blue lantern ring on his right hand, with a lantern placed beside him, and held an alien version of the Bible in his hands, preaching to intelligent beings with the same biological characteristics as him.

"The Lord said, 'If I, the believer, am merciful, I will not use force, but the enemy will perish in my glory.'"

Martin turned to look at Ganther: "This is the person you chose, a religious person?"
