Chapter 522 Kakashi

After several days of travel, Lu Chen and V arrived in Konoha smoothly.

During this time, Obito had actually been secretly observing the two men, but he had never found a suitable plan to launch an attack. Whenever he quietly emerged, he realized that he had no chance to launch an attack.

So Obito followed the two of them to Konoha Village.

After buying a shovel in a store, Lu Chen went straight to the place where Konoha buried the dead ninjas.

We had already collectively mourned the deceased, so there were almost no people here. After achieving victory, it was natural to indulge one's emotions.

Only ninjas who have lost everything would stay alone in a place like this.

Lu Chen walked and looked at the names on the tombstones. Many of the tombstones were newly built. Konoha also lost a lot in this battle.

As he walked past each tombstone, Lu Chen found his intended target. Uchiha Obito and Nohara Rin seemed to be buried very close together. This might be the spot Kakashi had chosen specifically for his teammates.

V didn't expect that Lu Chen was actually standing in the place where Konoha buried the dead.

Although both of them said there was no problem when they were having fun, they realized that this was not a good idea when they actually started doing it.

V asked uncertainly, "Do you really want to dig?"

Lu Chen threw the shovel in his hand to V and said, "Why don't you do it? This is a rare task. I'm giving you the task of abandoning the grave."

V refused repeatedly, saying he couldn't do such a job. He then declined, saying, "I heard you mention that you once collected the remains of a saint, so you're the most suitable person to do this. You've done this kind of work before."

Seeing that V was unwilling to do these things, Lu Chen casually asked: "Do you know why Uchiha Madara wanted to keep the history of his defeat to the first generation Hokage?"

V was confused by this inexplicable question: "What are you talking about?"

Lu Chen actually just wanted to scare Obito into showing up, but he'd been hanging around with a shovel for ages, and Obito still hadn't come out? Didn't they agree that licking dogs wouldn't begrudge their lives?
Was he really going to let him feint a few times with the shovel? Or was Obito not focusing on him? Was he planning to kill Nagato and his group first?

Everyone else was immersed in the joy of victory, but there was a lonely boy wandering alone on the road to the cemetery.

Kakashi was the only one with nowhere to go. His own convictions had begun to waver. This tragic man was unsure of what was right.

He had already carried too much suffering: a mother who died young, a father who committed suicide, teammates who died in battle, and another teammate who was killed by his own hands.

The only survivor had nowhere to go, having lost everything he had. He was just a tool, mechanically carrying out his mission.

So Kakashi would always come to the tombstone to tell his friend about what was happening in Konoha. This was a way for him to relieve his emotions.

Today, Kakashi came over as usual and saw something that made him extremely angry. Someone actually wanted to destroy the tombstones of soldiers who sacrificed for Konoha. And the most important thing is that they were standing next to the tombstone of his teammate Nohara Rin.

Kakashi saw two strange figures standing beside his teammate's tombstone, shovels in hand, seemingly discussing something. They looked as if they were about to start a fight. So, with a flash of his body, Kakashi appeared before Lu Chen and V, unsheathing a kunai and assuming a fighting stance. Lightning flashed off the kunai. He didn't attack directly because they hadn't yet begun to destroy it. He had to gather intelligence first.

Kakashi asked in a cold tone: "Which country sent you spies?"

Lu Chen shrunk the shovel and put it away, destroying the evidence first. Then he forced an explanation: "Do you believe me when I say we're actually here to repair the tombstone?"

V immediately understood and explained, "We were tasked with maintaining the cemetery and came here specifically to do some maintenance. We just noticed that there were some loose lumps of soil on this tombstone, so we helped reinforce it."

He didn't believe the explanations given by these two people, and Kakashi was in a very bad mood right now.

He lost his patience and said coldly, "If you don't want to be killed here, you'd better tell the truth."

V complained to Lu Chen and said, "I told you your actions were unreliable. Instead of attracting the target, you attracted a young man like this."

"It seems you really want to destroy the cemetery."

Kakashi could no longer suppress his anger. The brains of the dead could also provide information to ninjas. So, let them speak with their corpses.

He thrust the lightning in his hand towards V. It was obvious that in Kakashi's eyes, the man in armor was the leader between the two of them.

After all, the shovel is in Lu Chen's hands, and the captain will not do this kind of work.

The most important thing is that Kakashi also made the mistake of judging people by appearances. From the outside, V looks much stronger than Lu Chen. The shiny armor and shield look like powerful ninja tools.

But in terms of the result, there was no difference, no matter whether it was V or Lu Chen, he couldn't beat either of them.

After watching Kakashi emerge from the trees in the distance, Obito felt that this waste who killed his teammates was still somewhat useful. In fact, he had already wanted to leave.

But he would not show up until Lu Chen actually took action, because he knew that he would most likely be killed if he went out.

The fact that Black Zetsu didn't return made him realize that he might have been exposed, especially when Lu Chen ran straight to Nohara Lin and his own tombstone, which further confirmed this. He didn't know whether Black Zetsu was killed or finally surrendered to the two men.

However, Obito knew that he had been exposed. The only good news was that these two people were not from Konoha Village. Otherwise, he didn't know how to face these people.

Obito's feelings for Kakashi were very complicated. They were once partners who could share their dreams. But after that, only hatred, resentment, and disgust remained.

In the end, all that was left was disappointment in himself and Kakashi.

After Kakashi personally launched the attack, Obito even began to worry. Having fought with V personally, Obito knew how strong these two people were.
