It was an unpleasant encounter, and after Taylor's pinning victory, the woman went completely silent.

Her eyes were much larger than those of a human, and her appearance looked even stranger. Taylor might have seen a hint of cuteness in that strangeness, even though such a thought was enough to keep him tortured by the Inquisition for three or four days.

The aliens weren't that cruel, Taylor thought as he ate his ramen. Before a truly scourge-like swarm, the Imperial Guard and the Tau were practically the same. They were all just biomass.

He would die, and the thought of this filled his heart with uneasiness. After eating and drinking his fill, his thoughts were stretched too far, and he was prone to wild thoughts.

When the plasma shield breaks, Tyler will be eaten whole like the battlesuit pilot, his body cut open by monomolecular blades and bitten by narrow mouthparts.

Just the stinging pain made Taylor feel numb all over.

Frankly speaking, he needed to get out of here, there was no point in continuing to cower in this place.

But where could they go? This planet was simply a prey to the Great Devourer.

Taylor was holding a toothpick in his mouth, lost in thought, until an elderly Tau in a robe walked into the room.

His face, covered with white "pebblestone" marks, made Taylor a little uneasy, but he still sat next to Taylor stubbornly, even though there were many empty seats here.

He ordered in Tau, then spoke in Gothic. "My dear, our situation has been a bit dire lately. As our ally, I believe you have a responsibility to shoulder some of the burden."

"Mission?" Taylor said, holding a toothpick in his mouth, looking like a dead pig that is not afraid of boiling water.

"I am a warrior of the Emperor, not an alien. I will protect my station because the Munitions Department told me to be there."

It wasn't until the Water Clan leader took out a document with the Imperial Sky Eagle on it that Taylor picked it up and took a look.

This should be what the drone brought back. It said that the Empire needed a detailed strategic report, and obviously, the Empire's support was approaching the island where the starport was located.

Taylor sighed. "So, we're going to leave the shield and face the enemy directly?"

The Water Clan leader replied. "That's not the case. This mission clearly necessitates playing it safe, so I recommend a detour. Currently, most of the swarm is confined to the ocean for replenishment. Those unfortunate fish and local creatures are suffering a devastating blow, and they've become our cover."

"If it was just an armored vehicle, the Zerg probably wouldn't notice it, and the Empire's armed forces are on the other side of the Zerg."

"You were relatively safe in the past."

Taylor nodded and thought about the risks in his mind for a while. He didn't want to be used as a temporary can by the bugs here. Leaving here was also a way to survive.

After the bugs have eaten their fill in the ocean, they will be the main course after dessert.

Once he has delivered his message, he can retire with his victory accomplished, and if the battle line improves, victory will come.

By then, Taylor might be able to retire in this world, or become a permanent member of the Imperial Guard, enjoying the sea breeze and tranquility every day!

He was drooling at the thought. Being a permanent resident of the paradise world was a good job that only the top officials of the empire could do.

Taylor feigned displeasure, but had to grit his teeth as he answered. "I'm having a nightmare. The Emperor keeps giving me unreasonable missions."

The Water Clan leader said, "Come on, I can send a few combat suits to assist you, okay?"

Taylor smiled cleverly. After all, the little fox's name didn't come out of thin air.

And he also realized that this seemed to be an opportunity, an opportunity for him to escape from this damn meat grinder.

He imitated the Space Marine he knew, baring his teeth as he replied, "I'll run so far away that those guys won't find a trace."
