Chapter 181 The White Pig's Soul Attack
Chi Ping flipped through the backpack that Wei San threw to him and noticed that the style was older than the current official Lu'an army. It was estimated that these latecomers had been stationed here for some time.

"Where did you escape from?" Ikehira asked Ling Er, who was staring at the tactical backpacks in a daze.

"Right, right inside." Ling Er pointed in the direction they came from.

"What's inside? A city? A stronghold?"

"It's a very large stronghold, probably with several thousand people."

"People?" Chi Ping was a little surprised. Logically speaking, shouldn't they all be bugs?
"Yes, humans. Their lifespans are just like real bugs, extremely short, with some requiring a new cycle every few months. And aside from the higher-level bugs, the others are low-intelligence and have violent tempers.

"Here, the bug is a tool."

Reiji replied.

"How did you get here?" Chi Ping asked.

"He was captured. It seems that the white pig knows the boss here."

"Boss?"

"They don't call us 'boss' here, they call us 'god'." At this point, Ling Er grinned and said, "Do you think they are crazy?"

"Do you know where their 'God' is?" Chi Ping asked.

Just as he finished speaking, there was a sudden wave in the air.

The lush weeds on the ground seemed to be blown by the strong wind, creating layers of green waves.

The chirping of insects and birds suddenly stopped as if a mute switch had been pressed.

The setting sun, the broken sword and the tall tower, the vast wilderness, and the silence.

Chi Ping felt like he was gently tapped, and Wei San felt the same way. Le Bai's reaction was more obvious.

She uttered an "ouch," staggered two steps, and then muttered some swear words under her breath.

The one who reacted most strongly was Zero Two.

He covered his head and squatted on the ground.

His forehead flushed visibly, and beads of sweat streamed down his face, twisted and distorted in pain.

A large amount of saliva flowed out of his mouth uncontrollably, flowing along the corners of his mouth and onto the grass.

When the pain was at its most severe, he banged his head against the ground until a small dent was made in the grass in front of him, which provided some relief.

After the performance, he collapsed to the ground, exhausted. He stared at the sky with a dull look in his eyes, and it took him a while to recover.

When he staggered to his feet, he saw Chi Ping and the other two standing motionless beside him.

"what happened to you?"

"Are you okay?"

Ikehira and Reiji spoke at the same time, with Ikehira saying the first words.

"How come you guys are okay?" Ling Er was still muttering.

"Are we going to be in trouble?" Chi Ping asked.

"Are you all okay with the soul fluctuation just now?" Ling Er asked again.

"What soul fluctuation?" Chi Ping frowned. "Just that slap on me?"

"Shoot?" Ling Er was confused. The soul fluctuation was a range attack from the white pig guy. Anyone with a lower ability level than him would feel intense pain.

Of course, souls that are so small as to be negligible are not affected.

For example, those transformed insect people.

As a B-level Zero Two, it can be said that he suffered complete damage from the wave of soul fluctuations.

But he was a little skeptical that Chi Ping and the other two were okay.

You know, the white pig is of a particularly dangerous level, and it only needs one promotion factor to become an S-level master.

How can we resist these three people?

"No, the way I looked just now, you wouldn't think I was sick, would you?" He looked at Chi Ping with sharp eyes.

Then, I saw Ikehira nod slowly:
"You were just kowtowing to us.

"So it's not an illness?"

Is banging your head on the ground in pain considered kowtowing?
"I, you, this--" Ling Er suddenly felt like there were thousands of words stuck in his chest, but he couldn't say them.

Why!

He, Zero Four (Chi Ping), is about the same level as me. How come he can be so calm and composed when I feel like I'm going to die?

He also said something sarcastic like "I was just patted on the head"!
After thinking for a while, he felt there were two possibilities:

First, the strength of the three of them is on the same level as the white pig. But how is this possible!

White pigs are a special threat. Are these three people in front of me also a special threat?

I won’t talk about this guy Zero Four, he’s about the same level as me.

That skinny old man with a gloomy face and tattoos is either a thief or a gangster!

Look at that silly girl again, what is she doing now?

She pulled a few leaves off the tree and stuffed them into her mouth, savoring the sour taste! This didn't seem very clever. How could it possibly be a major hazard?!

Then, there is only the second possibility.

Ikehira and his two companions are insects with tiny souls!

"You are bugs, right?"

Reiji looked so confident, Ikehira had no idea what this guy was talking about.

After saying this, Ling Er turned around and looked in the direction he came from.

"The white pigs usually attack once every half an hour. I'm going to run away now. I'll advise you one last time. Let's run together."

He finished speaking, and then saw Chi Ping and the other two standing there motionless.

"You're not leaving, right? If you're not leaving, then I'm leaving." After saying that, Ling Er turned around and ran towards the stone gate.

But before I could run two steps, I felt like someone was grabbing fate by the scruff of the neck.

Soon, his feet were hanging in the air and his whole body was held in Wei San's hands.

"Hey, hey, what are you doing?" Zero Two yelled.

Chi Ping stood in front of him and said, "You haven't answered my question yet."

"What's going on?" Ling Er, hanging in the air, was still struggling: "Don't drag me away."

"Where is their 'God'?" Chi Ping asked.

"I don't know! There's no such thing in the base I'm in, but to the east—towards the exit—there's a bigger base they call the 'Insect Nest'. There should be some important people there."

Chi Ping nodded: "Thank you for your hard work."

"What's so hard?" Ling Er suddenly felt something was wrong.

"Take us there." Chi Ping said.

"I won't!" Ling Er struggled even harder. He suddenly turned in the air and kicked Wei San's head with all his might.

Wei San didn't move his body, he just loosened his hand that was holding Ling Er's collar, and Ling Er fell to the ground from mid-air with a thud.

Then, Wei San calmly stepped on his chest.

"It hurts! It hurts! It's wrong! It's wrong! It's wrong!"

Ling Er was madly giving in.

"You're an A-level, why didn't you say so earlier?"

After Wei San withdrew his strength, Ling Er cried out in injustice.

"Come on, take us there." Ikehira helped Ling Er up from the ground and patted the shoe prints on his chest.

Ling Er glanced at Wei San, then looked at Chi Ping and said:

"You've found a good boss."

Chi Ping could only nod: "Ah, yes, yes, let's go."

Wei San wanted to explain, but Chi Ping interrupted him by waving his hand.

He found that Ling Er was probably a chatterbox. Once he started a new topic, he would probably not be able to stop for a while.

But Chi Ping still underestimated this guy. No one gave him a chance to start a conversation, so he started his own topic:
"I think that since we can run now, we should run as much as possible.

"You don't know how terrifying white pigs are!
"Zero One and I were captured by him for two months—"

Ling Er was mumbling to himself, but when he got to this point, his voice suddenly stopped and his expression became sad.

"What's wrong?" Le Bai interrupted in time to avoid a dull silence. Chi Ping was so angry that he wanted to stab her.

"Zero One, he was absorbed by the white pig!"

Ling Er looked at Ikehira with tears in his eyes and a sad face:

"That's our closest brother, Zero Four!"
