Honghuang: Creation of the Green Lotus, the beginning of the Three Pure Ones

"Destroying my Buddhist temple and insulting my Buddhist community, such behavior is no different from that of demons. You shall wait until I have retrieved the Buddhist treasures, and then I will reason with you."

Having said that, he abruptly flicked his robe sleeves and, supported by his terrified disciples, staggered back towards the backyard.

Little did they know, Manjushri Bodhisattva was already cursing Sun Wukong to the core, wishing he could grind him to dust right then and there.

Sun Wukong put away his golden cudgel and turned to Tang Sanzang, saying, "Monk, have you figured out who this Elder Jinchi really is?"

Sun Wukong knew perfectly well that Tang Sanzang had already regained Jin Chanzi's memories. Now that they were alone, he finally spoke up and asked him.

Tang Sanzang sighed and said, "Who he is is not important. What is important is whether you have the ability to bring him before Buddha and kill him with a single blow."

Such vicious words coming from a monk were quite unexpected, even to Sun Wukong.

He couldn't help but think to himself, "Good heavens, this monk is even more ruthless than me, Old Sun."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Zen temple, the old monk, who was an incarnation of Manjushri Bodhisattva, dismissed his attendants and entered a secret room alone.

Once he confirmed that no one was around, the look of panic and resentment on his face vanished instantly, replaced by a deep coldness and calculation.

He sat cross-legged, his hands forming a mudra, and a faint Buddhist light emanated from his body. His divine sense had already traversed the mountains and forests, instantly contacting the black bear spirit in the Black Wind Cave.

The black bear spirit was holding the sandalwood box, feeling both awe and greed towards the vast Buddhist light emanating from the brocade cassock. Its large bear paws wanted to touch it but dared not, and it paced anxiously in circles.

Suddenly, Manjushri Bodhisattva's icy voice exploded in his mind: "Fool. Why are you still holding onto that robe? Do you think that monkey can't find you?"

The black bear spirit was startled and almost threw the box away. He hurriedly replied in his mind, "Bodhisattva, what should I do now?"

Manjushri Bodhisattva pondered for a moment, a strange light flashing in his eyes, "You shall immediately take the kasaya, leave Black Wind Cave, and travel three hundred li south to a place called Luojia Cave."

"There is a protective array inside the cave that can temporarily conceal the radiance of the kasaya. Once you are inside, you must not come out without my permission, and you must not touch the kasaya."

"Luojia Cave?"

The black bear spirit repeated blankly; the name seemed vaguely familiar, but he couldn't quite place where he'd heard it before. He could only nod at the void.

Having severed ties with the Black Bear Spirit, Manjushri Bodhisattva's eyes gleamed even colder.

Little did they know, Sun Wukong wasn't idle either. He used a monkey hair to transform into his own likeness. His true form then transformed into a moth and quietly flew towards Elder Jinchi's meditation room.

What Sun Wukong practiced was the genuine Nine Revolutions Profound Origin Technique. He also mastered the Heavenly Dipper and Earthly Fiend Transformations thoroughly.

The technique he is currently using is the Seventy-Two Transformations of Earthly Fiends. If one does not possess the cultivation of a Quasi-Saint, one would not be able to detect the slightest flaw.

In a secluded meditation room, Elder Jinchi was speaking softly to a water mirror, which vaguely reflected a desolate mountain scene.

Sun Wukong pricked up his ears and only vaguely heard words such as "Luojia Cave, stay calm, the Bodhisattva has made arrangements."

The Black Bear Spirit couldn't recall what Luojia Cave was, but Sun Wukong knew it perfectly well. It was the place where Guanyin Bodhisattva had cultivated in one of her past lives. "Good heavens! This is a frame-up! Trying to smear Guanyin Bodhisattva? Too bad, Manjushri, you've met me. Your plan is destined to fail."

He originally planned to return to Flower Fruit Mountain and have the three monkey clones of Wuzhiqi go directly to Black Wind Cave to retrieve the cassock from the black bear spirit and send it to Green Lotus Island.

He also dealt with the black bear demon, ensuring that Manjushri Bodhisattva would never find the brocade robe again. He would then solidify the case, making it airtight, before taking Manjushri Bodhisattva to the Buddha.

Because of his status, Sun Wukong believed that Manjushri Bodhisattva would never dare to reveal his true form. He could never have imagined that Sun Wukong intended to kill him in front of the Buddha.

But now Sun Wukong has changed his mind. Since someone wants to put on a show, why not watch the whole thing first?

He used the enemy's plan against them, without alerting them, and quietly retreated back to his meditation room to merge with his incarnation.

Little did anyone know that as Sun Wukong left, a smile appeared on Manjushri Bodhisattva's lips. "Guanyin, just wait until your infamy spreads far and wide."

Manjushri Bodhisattva, of course, could not possibly know the true identity of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. He felt that his plan to divert trouble eastward would be a perfect success.

At that time, we can definitely use Sun Wukong to ruin Guanyin Bodhisattva's reputation. Even if we can't completely make him infamous for ten thousand years, we can at least make him suffer for several hundred years.

Little did they know that Guanyin Bodhisattva's true identity was Cihang Daoren of the Daoist sect. She was Sun Wukong's own uncle-master.

Most importantly, Sun Wukong also knew Guanyin Bodhisattva's true identity. Therefore, Manjushri Bodhisattva's plan to divert trouble eastward was destined to fail.

Early the next morning, Sun Wukong forced Elder Jinchi, who was actually Manjushri Bodhisattva in disguise, to lead a group of people to accompany him to Black Wind Mountain to find the Black Bear Demon.

Each with their own ulterior motives, the group set off towards Black Wind Mountain. After traveling for half a day, they finally arrived at Black Wind Cave. However, the cave was deserted; the Black Bear Spirit was nowhere to be seen.

Just then, the imposter Elder Jinchi picked up a magical artifact. His hands trembling, he said, "This is the Bodhisattva's seal, how could it be here?"

Sun Wukong knew that Manjushri Bodhisattva wanted to mislead him and make him doubt Guanyin Bodhisattva. Naturally, he wouldn't let him have his way.

He immediately snatched the Dharma seal away and grabbed Elder Jinchi's monk's robe, saying, "Old monk, you still say this monster isn't one of your accomplices?"

"If you weren't in cahoots with him, how could your Guanyin Temple's ritual implements be in his cave?"

"It seems we don't need to look for this black bear spirit anymore. I'll just wait here. You bring me the brocade cassock. Otherwise, come with me to see Buddha."

Seeing Sun Wukong's performance, Manjushri Bodhisattva was overjoyed. He hurriedly said, "Stop talking nonsense. How could a Bodhisattva associate with demons?"

"As for this seal, it must have been stolen by that black bear demon. After all, he dared to steal even a brocade cassock, let alone a seal?"

Sun Wukong was too lazy to watch this clumsy performance any longer, and simply snorted and said, "You old bald donkey, don't need to be so stubborn. Once I find that Black Bear Demon and interrogate him, the truth will naturally come out."

Manjushri Bodhisattva was secretly delighted. Now all he needed to do was lure Sun Wukong to Luojia Cave, and then put on a show of dog-eat-dog with the Black Bear Spirit.

They could then feign death to escape and completely shift the blame onto Guanyin Bodhisattva, making the world believe that Guanyin Bodhisattva's monastery was a den of iniquity.

Furthermore, Elder Jinchi had previously claimed that he had received personal guidance from Guanyin Bodhisattva. This would allow them to add another charge against Guanyin Bodhisattva: misjudging people and protecting her disciples. (End of Chapter)
