Honghuang: Creation of the Green Lotus, the beginning of the Three Pure Ones

When the Maitreya Taoist saw Guanyin arrive in person, he knew that things would not go as planned today. He chuckled and bowed.

"Since the Venerable Guanyin has come in person, I will grant her this honor. However, the majesty of the Heavenly Court cannot be easily insulted. I hope the Buddhist sect will handle this matter properly and give the Jade Emperor an explanation."

Having said that, Maitreya Daoist flicked his sleeve and, along with the Water Deity Star Lord and a group of celestial beings, rode away on a cloud. Before leaving, the Water Deity Star Lord glared at Ruoshui with resentment.

But he saw that Ruoshui's eyes were cold and sharp, and her fingertips were faintly shimmering with a deep blue light. He was so frightened that he quickly turned his head away and dared not look at her again.

Guanyin Bodhisattva descended from the clouds, her gaze lingering on Tang Sanzang for a moment. Seeing that he was unharmed, she then turned to Zhu Ganglie and Ruoshui.

She sighed softly, her tone tinged with helplessness, and said, "Do you two know the enormity of the trouble you've caused today?"

Pigsy slammed his nine-toothed rake on the ground and said loudly, "Bodhisattva, I only seek to act with a clear conscience. Ruoshui has waited for me for five hundred years. If I betray her, wouldn't I be worse than a pig or a dog?"

Upon hearing this, the icy coldness in the eyes of the Water Fairy gradually melted. She intertwined her fingers with Zhu Ganglie's and said softly, "Tianpeng is right. Even if a saint were to come today, he could not separate us."

Guanyin Bodhisattva shook her head slightly, but turned her gaze to Sun Wukong, who was scratching his ears and cheeks, and said, "Wukong, you deliberately stepped aside just now, did you calculate that Medicine Buddha would not dare to attack Sanzang?"

Sun Wukong chuckled and leaped onto a cloud: "Bodhisattva, you are wise. That Medicine Buddha may seem fierce, but he is all bark and no bite. I saw through him long ago and he wouldn't dare to lay a finger on this old monk."

Tang Sanzang put his hands together and chanted a Buddhist prayer: "Great Sage, you are being naughty and have made the Bodhisattva laugh. But I believe that the word 'emotion' is an inevitable tribulation on the path of cultivation. Forcibly suppressing it would only lead to a lower level of spiritual progress."

Guanyin Bodhisattva pondered for a moment, then suddenly smiled and said, "What you all say is correct. However, the journey to the West to obtain the scriptures is ordained by Heaven and cannot be changed."

"Now that Sun Wukong and Zhu Ganglie have joined the pilgrimage team, they will be disciples of Tang Sanzang from now on. Sun Wukong will be known as Xingzhe, and Zhu Ganglie will be known as Bajie. They will be given the Dharma name Wuneng."

Guanyin Bodhisattva had already mentioned this matter in the chat group, so Sun Wukong and Zhu Ganglie naturally did not refuse. They stepped forward at the same time to pay their respects to Tang Sanzang as master and disciple.

Tang Sanzang quickly reached out to help the two up and said, "With Wukong and Bajie by my side from now on, I have nothing to worry about."

Pigsy chuckled and patted his chest, saying, "From now on, Monkey King will be in charge of subduing demons and monsters; I'll take care of everything else."

"However, Master, you will have to wait here in Gao Village for a few more days. After Monkey and I deliver Ruoshui to Flower Fruit Mountain, we will come back to accompany you on your journey west."

Before Tang Sanzang could even nod, Ruoshui said directly, "I'm not going to Flower Fruit Mountain, I want to go to the Western Paradise with you."

Upon hearing this, everyone was shocked. Pigsy's eyes widened in disbelief. After all, even Buddhist monks don't allow men to marry, so how could they possibly agree to let him take a wife on his journey to the West?

He then said to Ruoshui, "The journey to the West to obtain the scriptures is only a matter of a few years. We have already waited for five hundred years, so why would a few more years make a difference?"

"Furthermore, if you leave Guixu for too long, the seal will inevitably loosen. Once the seal loosens, it may cause trouble."

Don't be fooled by Ruoshui's repeated claims that she will open the seal of Guixu. She only said that when she was forced into a corner; otherwise, how could she disregard the fate of all living beings?

So when Ruoshui heard what Zhu Bajie said, although she was reluctant, she felt that what Zhu Bajie said made sense, and she was about to agree. However, Tang Sanzang spoke up. Tang Sanzang said to Guanyin Bodhisattva, "Please help Ruoshui so that she can both guard Guixu and stay by Bajie's side."

Upon hearing this, Guanyin Bodhisattva frowned. "Tang Sanzang, do you really intend to take Ruoshui on your journey to retrieve the scriptures? Have you considered that this might anger the Buddhas?"

Tang Sanzang spoke calmly, "The so-called journey to the West to obtain scriptures and the eastward transmission of Buddhism are naturally for the purpose of promoting Buddhism."

"If Buddhism cannot innovate and keep pace with the times, what is the use of promoting it? Even if this humble monk brings it back to the Tang Dynasty in the East, can the Tripitaka truly save the world?"

"I'm afraid that even if the Tripitaka Sutra reached the Tang Dynasty in the East, it would be discarded like worn-out shoes and left to gather dust in some remote corner."

"If I want Buddhism to be spread in the Tang Dynasty of the East, the Tripitaka that I brought back must be a scripture that can truly save people, not a scripture that teaches people to extinguish love and affection."

"This humble monk is to embark on the journey with the Weak Water, which is the first step in breaking the rules of the scriptures. Therefore, this humble monk believes that the Buddhas of the West should be able to understand this humble monk's good intentions."

Sun Wukong, who was standing to the side, was completely stunned. He couldn't help but think to himself, "This old monk speaks so eloquently, quite different from that Jin Chanzi who can decide life and death with a single word."

After a moment's thought, Guanyin Bodhisattva took out a willow branch from her jade bottle and gently waved it towards the Weak Water.

"Since Tang Sanzang has made his decision, the Heavenly Court must give an explanation. I wonder if you would be willing to offer up the source of the Weak Water to guard the Ruins of Return, and accompany Tang Sanzang and his disciples on their journey to the West?"

Upon hearing this, Ruoshui nodded without hesitation and said, "Ruoshui is willing. From now on, I am just Gao Cuilan, no longer the Ruoshui Fairy of the Heavenly Court."

Guanyin Bodhisattva nodded after hearing this, and with a gentle shake of the willow branch in her hand, three drops of sweet dew flew out and landed on the forehead of the Weak Water Fairy.

"This is the Three Lights Divine Water, which can help you stabilize your primordial spirit. It will help you completely separate the weak water essence within your primordial spirit."

Feeling the cool energy flowing through her body, Ruoshui immediately began to separate the Ruoshui essence within her primordial spirit. Surprisingly, the excruciating pain of splitting her primordial spirit did not occur.

The Weak Water could leave the Milky Way unnoticed, leaving behind a wisp of its primordial spirit within it. Although this primordial spirit was extremely weak, it could temporarily guard the entrance to the Ruins of Return and deceive the gods of Heaven.

Even splitting off a wisp of her primordial spirit caused Ruoshui unimaginable pain. But now, what is to be split off is Ruoshui's original essence within her primordial spirit, and the degree of pain it will cause is unimaginable.

The result was that Weak Water did not feel any pain. In fact, the process of separating Weak Water's essence was even smoother than she had imagined.

Before long, Gao Cuilan held the source of the Weak Water in her hands, knelt down, and bowed deeply to Guanyin Bodhisattva, saying, "Thank you, Bodhisattva, for granting my wish."

Sun Wukong clapped his hands and laughed, saying, "Brilliant! This will make the journey to the West even more lively. With a wife keeping an eye on you, let's see if you dare to slack off now."

Pigsy chuckled and put his arm around Gao Cuilan's slender waist, saying, "With my wife by my side, I have even more energy to work."
