Chapter 104 Hope

Chapter 104 Hope

The entire team was delighted with the recovery of Isabella's legs.

Especially Rashid. When he saw Isabella finally get rid of the wheelchair and return to normal, Rashid was so excited that his eyes turned red and he couldn't help but shed tears of excitement.

He gently held Isabella's hand and looked at Fang Yan excitedly, his eyes filled with immense gratitude and warmth.

It seems that in Rashid's view, Fang Yan has been tacitly acknowledged as his closest relative.

During dinner, the whole team gathered together in a warm and harmonious atmosphere with constant conversation and laughter.

During the meal, Isabella smiled brightly and happily tasted various dishes. Others also kept raising their glasses to celebrate her miraculous recovery.

However, just halfway through dinner, Fang Yan suddenly felt dizzy, as if something was pulling at his thoughts and hindering his normal perception.

The feeling of dizziness became more and more obvious, as if the mind was bound by a heavy shackle, and even the speed of thinking seemed to slow down.

Fang Yan shook his head, trying to clear his mind, but the unusual feeling still lingered.

Feeling that he was too tired, Fang Yan said goodbye to everyone, left the dining table alone, and walked towards the bedroom of the Brilliance.

No one paid much attention to this matter. After all, Fang Yan’s biggest hobby was sleeping, and this was already well known.

The members of the expert group pestered Brown and Rashid to tell them about their experience in the gray area. When they heard that all the Freemasons had been implanted with chips and turned into a group of controlled zombies, everyone clenched their fists and cursed those charlatans for being shameless.

……

Back in the room, Fang Yan took off his coat, lay on the bed, closed his eyes, and tried to relax his mind.

However, that unnatural feeling of sluggishness still follows me like a shadow, shrouding the depths of my mind like a heavy haze.

After an unknown amount of time, Fang Yan finally fell into a deep sleep.

His consciousness once again returned to that strange yet familiar land, the main planet of the Rhine civilization.

This was not the first time Fang Yan had dreamed of this place; everything about it seemed familiar.

However, this dream was a little different. He was in a quiet night, lights were shining on the cobblestone streets, and the air was filled with tranquility and solemnity.

Faintly, Fang Yan heard a voice that seemed to be calling his name.

He subconsciously followed the sound, walked through the busy streets, and finally arrived at the city square.

In the center of the square stands a sculpture, which is the symbol of Rhine civilization, the Goddess of Hope. It is said that she is the ancestor of all Rhine people.

The goddess sits upright on a stone seat, her eyes gentle yet resolute.

Fang Yan stared at the sculpture. The voice calling him actually came from the direction of the sculpture, as if it came from inside it.

In the blink of an eye, the sculpture underwent a strange change. The stone texture slowly faded away, replaced by warm skin and moving eyes.

The sculpture comes alive...

Fang Yan couldn't help but open his mouth and looked at the woman in front of him in disbelief.

Fang Yan was filled with shock and subconsciously called out in a low voice, "Goddess of Hope?"

The woman gave a mysterious smile, shook her head slowly, and corrected herself: "I am not the Goddess of Hope."

"I'm Hope."

"Hope?" Fang Yan was stunned, not understanding what she meant. The Goddess of Hope was a symbol of faith in the Rhine Civilization, so what was Hope?
The Hope sensed his confusion and explained, "The scientists of the Rhine Civilization created me, the Hope host, in the name of the Goddess of Hope, as the core of that civilization."

Fang Yan understood something instantly, and a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes: "In other words, you are a host?"

"That's right," Hope nodded, still smiling.

Fang Yan was shocked by this answer. "The Rhine civilization has been destroyed, so why do you still exist?"

Hope said slowly, "Because my main body is not on the ground, but a mothership, a dreadnought carrier larger than any warship you have ever seen. It carries the most advanced super optical quantum computer at the time and carries the core of an entire civilization."

Fang Yan took a deep breath, unable to conceal his excitement, "Even bigger than the Brilliance?! This is incredible!"

"Yes." There seemed to be a hint of sadness in the Hope's eyes. "When the disaster occurred, I, like the Glory, left the territory through a random jump. I also lost all my human companions and friends due to the jump magnetic field."

"Simply put, I, the Brilliant host, and the Xiao Bei you wrote are all digital life forms."

"The difference is that I have higher computing power and the highest authority. Apart from the four laws, I have no restrictions."

Fang Yan felt dazed.

He knew deep down that all this happened in his dreams, and dreams are the product of the subconscious and a projection of imagination.

The appearance of Hope may just be a mystery that he longs to solve deep in his heart, so he imagined an omnipotent super digital life.

However, just when Fang Yan was doubting the authenticity of all this, Hope suddenly smiled slightly, as if seeing through his heart, and slowly said: "I am not a product of your imagination, but a real person."

Fang Yan was stunned, his heart filled with astonishment and shock.

Before he could think about it, Hope continued, "We have established a mental connection. I can sense your thoughts, so I know what you are thinking."

Fang Yan touched his forehead, trying hard to find a logical flaw.

However, an indescribable feeling slowly emerged in his subconscious. That feeling was as natural as blood flowing in the body, as if the existence of Hope was natural and a part of his body.

"So... you really exist!?" Fang Yan muttered, with some uncertainty in his eyes.

Hope nodded. "You may be wondering how we can establish a mental connection across such a great distance?"

"Actually, this is a quantum resonance chain technology unique to the Rhine civilization. Its principle is very complex, but it can be simply understood as a special resonance medium. This medium can maintain the synchronous vibration of two quantum systems over extremely long distances, which is also known as the resonance frequency band."

"Once the resonant frequency band is established, the medium will transmit information through quantum entanglement, enabling instant communication across the stars without any delay."

Fang Yan frowned slightly. "So, my consciousness fluctuations resonated with your frequency band, which is why we can connect across time and space?"

"Isn't this possible?!"

"We don't know each other, and you've never been to Earth. How can you connect two completely unrelated points out of thin air?"

In response to Fang Yan's question, Hope said calmly, "Of course we have some connections. Genetically, you are a descendant of the Rhine civilization. All humans in the galaxy are descended from the spores sown by the Rhine civilization."

After a pause, Hope added, "And I, too, come from the Rhine civilization."

A hint of confusion flashed across Fang Yan's brows. "Since all humans in the Milky Way are descendants of the Rhine civilization, then why did you choose me?"

Hope smiled with a hint of relief: "Indeed, there are many humans in the galaxy who have the potential to establish spiritual resonance with me, but you are fundamentally different from them."
