Chapter 7 White Dome
Chapter 7 White Dome
The White Dome was originally an interstellar cruise ship. After countless space voyages, it was finally retired and selected by the Galactic Alliance as its representative office on Earth.
This incredibly huge existence is not only a symbol of the Galactic Alliance stationed on Earth, but also a super complex integrating business, finance, education and medical care. Many people from different galaxies and civilizations live in it.
Carrying a simple backpack, Fang Yan took a taxi to the square outside the white dome.
The square was bustling with people. Today, it is the world's most popular check-in spot for internet celebrities. Countless tourists stop here, stay, and take photos.
Fang Yan looked up and saw that the white dome was like a giant snow mountain that suddenly appeared in the center of the city. Its surface was as smooth as a mirror, reflecting the sunlight and emitting a charming glow. The design aesthetics and material application far exceeded the current level on Earth.
Although this is the capital and the architectural style is modern, it looks so simple and backward compared to the white dome.
Fang Yan calmed himself down and walked towards the entrance.
There is an elite security force around the square, keeping vigil at all times, and everyone's every move is under their close scrutiny.
When he was still a long distance away from the entrance, two armed guards stopped Fang Yan.
"Sir, please show me your pass."
Fang Yan was stunned, shook his head and said, "I don't have any passes, I just want to open an account at Standard Bank."
"Pan-Galactic Standard Bank?"
The guard laughed and said in a slightly teasing tone, "If ordinary Earthlings want to open an account, they need to register with the Ministry of Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs first. Moreover, the Galaxy Universal Account is not free. There are account opening fees and management fees, at least over a hundred star coins."
When the guard mentioned the star coins, he deliberately emphasized his tone, as if he wanted Fang Yan to give up.
According to the current exchange rate, just opening an account would cost hundreds of thousands of Earth dollars, which is far beyond the reach of ordinary people.
“It still needs to be filed…”
Fang Yan frowned. The account opening fee was nothing to him, but filing was a rather troublesome matter. It would probably take a lot of time to go back and forth.
Suddenly, Fang Yan thought of Aliat. The director of the Space Power Forum had once made it clear that he could come directly to him if he had any difficulties in the future.
"Wait a moment, I'll make a call first." Fang Yan said as he took out his cell phone.
"Whatever." The two guards said indifferently.
Soon, Aliat's face appeared on the phone screen.
"I have something to ask for your help right now." Fang Yan said a little embarrassedly.
Aliat was stunned, thinking that Fang Yan was in some big trouble, but after hearing the whole story, his expression was a little bit amusing.
You know, he is the director and chief operating officer of the Space Power Forum. For Ariat, who is always very busy with work, opening a bank account is a bit like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.
But in a flash, Ariat thought of the mysterious teacher behind Fang Yan. A smile appeared on his face, and he said to Fang Yan patiently, "We in the Space Power Forum don't have many things, but we have many friends. After all, all Pan-Galaxy engineers are one family."
"Don't worry, just wait here and I'll help you think of a solution."
"Then I'll take care of it." Fang Yan said.
After closing the connection, Fang Yan pulled out a triple mint e-cigarette from his pocket and smoked it nonchalantly while admiring the scenery around the white dome. But at this moment, the two guards who had just stopped him were no longer so calm.
"Did he just speak the Galactic Common Language?"
"Seems to be."
"He's so fluent in the Galactic Common Language, it's like his native language."
The two guards whispered to each other. They were quite knowledgeable as they were stationed here, but Fang Yan's level of Galactic Common Language seemed to be even higher than that of the Federation translator, which made them think a lot.
Not long after, a low magnetic vibration sound suddenly came from the square.
Fang Yan looked up and saw a silver hover car coming at a high speed, finally stopping a few dozen meters away.
The car door opened and a middle-aged man in a white Galactic Federation uniform got out. He looked around and found Fang Yan, and immediately ran over with a smile on his face.
"Mr. Fang Yan?" the middle-aged man asked anxiously and with surprise.
Fang Yan nodded, "Yes, I am Fang Yan."
"Hello, hello, I finally meet you in person. My name is Brown, and I am the chief engineer of the Galactic Alliance on Earth." Brown introduced himself hurriedly.
Fang Yan responded very politely: "Thank you for coming in person, isn't it Ariad..."
"Yes, yes, yes," Brown said excitedly. "I never expected Mr. Ariat to call me personally. What's even more surprising is that I'd actually have the honor of meeting the author of the spatial perturbation optimization plan! What an honor, what an honor!"
Fang Yan said modestly, "Don't say that. I just did some research within my ability. As the chief engineer of the alliance, you have come all the way to our remote planet. It must be really hard work."
Fang Yan and Brown were in the square, flirting with each other as if no one was around. This scene left all the guards stunned.
You know, as the chief engineer of the Galactic Alliance on Earth, Brown is highly respected by the Earth Federal Government.
Brown's appearance immediately attracted the attention of the surrounding guards, and they all saluted him.
But the chief engineer ran towards Fang Yan as if no one was around, and talked to him warmly, using only honorifics.
"This is not a place to talk. Please come to my office and sit down." Brown made a gesture of invitation.
Fang Yan nodded and got into Brown's hovercraft. The two of them drove away under the watchful eyes of the guards.
"Oh my god! Wasn't that Chief Engineer Brown just now?"
"Yes, that's him."
"Brown actually greeted that young man personally? You know, even our minister bowed and scraped when he met Brown. Who is that young man?"
"We don't know, but he's definitely not an ordinary person." The guards whispered.
