Chapter 53 Fountain of Youth
The craftsmanship of these two holy grails can be said to be exquisite. Weiss held them in his hands and examined them carefully.

The cup is engraved with delicate patterns, which are like exquisite paintings, and every line reflects the artist's ingenuity.

The surface of the Holy Grail has a soft luster, which is as dazzling as the twinkling stars in the night sky and as warm as the first ray of sunshine in the morning.

They may have appeared on many important occasions, witnessed countless glorious moments, and perhaps accompanied Juan Ponce de León on many adventurous journeys and weathered countless trials and tribulations.

Jack Sparrow, curious about the Holy Grail, came over to take a look.

"You want it?" Wes asked.

Jack Sparrow shook his head slightly. Although he was full of curiosity about the Holy Grail, he knew very well that it was not something he could possess.

Seeing that Jack had no greed, Wes stopped teasing him.

Now that the two key items, the mermaid and the Holy Grail, were in hand, Wes began to quietly plan his next move.
-
Jack Sparrow led the way, and the three of them slowly walked into a cave.

However, when they entered the cave, they found that there was nothing here except stalactites of various shapes and a small pool.

Jack Sparrow carefully checked his compass and began to wonder if there was something wrong with it.

After all, they tracked them all the way here hoping to find more clues.

"There's nothing wrong with the compass. This is where the Fountain of Youth is." Weiss said slowly, looking at the inscription on the Holy Grail.

He read out the words engraved on the Holy Grail, and his voice echoed in the cave.

As the last sentence fell, the water in the cave began to float upward against gravity.

The small pool of water seemed to be pulled by an invisible force, rising slowly, and finally gathered into a suspended pool above the heads of the three people, hanging there quietly without falling.

"Captain Sparrow, you have fulfilled your promise." Wes waved his hand, and two balls of light separated from Jack Sparrow and Angelica's bodies and quickly returned to Wes's hands.

Jack Sparrow and Angelica suddenly felt a sense of relief. With the restraints removed, their freedom was finally back.

Angelica, who had regained her freedom, reached out and grabbed Jack Sparrow, ready to leave with him. She didn't want to continue this dangerous adventure at all.

However, Jack Sparrow was unwilling to leave at this moment. His mind was all on his Black Pearl. He knew that only with Wes's help could he regain his beloved ship.

"Where's my reward, Mr. Wizard?" Jack Sparrow gently withdrew his hand, turned around, and asked Wes expectantly.

"Don't worry, Captain Sparrow." Weiss put away the Holy Grail and replied calmly and confidently, "The best is yet to come."

"Could it be that Blackbeard is coming this way too?"

Wes didn't answer him directly, but jumped into the suspended pool. Jack Sparrow hesitated for a moment, but quickly decided to follow Wes in, completely ignoring his girlfriend Angelica's dissuasion.

Angelica could only sigh helplessly. She didn't want to stay here alone, so she followed Jack Sparrow and jumped into the suspended pool.

When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves in a misty place.

The place didn't look spacious, only able to accommodate a hundred people at most. Contrary to the magnificent scene they had imagined, there was almost nothing here except a few tall rock pillars.

The legendary Fountain of Youth looks just like ordinary clear water, flowing quietly without any ripples.

Weiss took out the small bottle containing the mermaid and tapped it gently. As if by magic, the bottle began to grow until it was as big as a small swimming pool.

The five mermaids inside also returned to their original size. They huddled together tightly and looked at Weiss in fear.

Obviously, they were frightened by Weiss's magical power.

"Elody?!" Jack Sparrow was surprised when he recognized one of the mermaids at a glance.

"Jack, help us." When Elodie saw Jack, she felt like she had found a glimmer of hope. His arrival gave her hope.

"Jack?" Angelica looked at Jack Sparrow in disbelief. "You actually picked up a fish! What's going on in your head?!"

"Baby, let me explain," Jack Sparrow hurriedly tried to explain.

"Old woman, I'm not a fish." Elodie retorted angrily.

"Who are you calling an old woman?" Angelica became even angrier.

"..."

"..."

"Ladies." Jack Sparrow tried to appease the two "difficult" friends, but no one paid any attention to him. They kept arguing and didn't give him a chance to interrupt.

In desperation, Jack Sparrow fired his rifle into the air. "Bang!" The gunshot echoed in the small space. Angelica was startled, quickly drawing her sword and looking around warily. Elodie hid in the water, not daring to show her face.

"Jack?!" Angelica discovered that it was Jack Sparrow who was behind it and pointed a sword at his chest.

Jack Sparrow pushed away the blade pointed at him, turned to Weiss and bowed: "Master Wizard, can you..."

"No," Weiss replied coldly, without a trace of sympathy in his eyes.

"Look how beautiful they are, they are just poor girls." Jack Sparrow said, and the five mermaids also cooperated by making pitiful looks, trying to arouse Wes's sympathy.

"Pathetic? Captain Sparrow, you're out of your mind. These mermaids are not ordinary people." Weiss was not fooled by their beauty. "They are just half-human, half-beast creatures. Humans are part of their menu."

Seeing that their plea was ineffective, the five mermaids had to give up their disguise and reveal their sharp teeth.

Jack Sparrow wanted to say a few words for his old lover, but was stopped by Angelica. She whispered, "Don't anger him. He needs the mermaid's tears. At least we are safe now."

Then, Weiss cast a magic called the Nightmare Curse, which can make creatures fall into their deepest fears and is actually an illusion.

Under the spell, the mermaids fell into nightmares and shed tears out of their own fear. Wes collected all the tears in a small transparent bottle.

After doing all this, a chaotic sound of footsteps was heard, and a group of pirates came out from nowhere and quickly surrounded them. It was Blackbeard and his men.

Blackbeard stared greedily at the Fountain of Youth behind Weiss, his eyes gleaming with blazing desire. He pulled out his rifle, pointed it directly at Weiss, and said in a commanding tone, "Get out of the way! The Fountain of Youth is mine."

"Don't you even understand the principle of first come, first served?" Wes did not back down even when facing the gun pointed at him.

"Bang!" Blackbeard pulled the trigger without saying anything. The close-range gunshot made people's eardrums hurt.
